Zante Maris Suites

We stayed for a week and had the most fantastic holiday! All the staff were so lovely and along with a warm welcome we received a lovely, refreshing cocktail on arrival. We were taken by buggy to our room which was lovely - private pool with sea views. We did find that the balcony area didn't get much sun during the day but think that might be more to do with the time of year we went, and the pool was lovely and refreshing after a day in the sun! We didn't eat at the the hotel in the evening but the breakfasts were really good - you could pick from fresh bread, meats, cheeses and fruit and then something from the menu (scrambled eggs, omelette etc and everything I tried was really nice). I would recommend a massage - we were taken to the sister hotel and it was amazing! The main pool area doesn't have lots of beds but we didn't find it too much of an issue and the pool was heated so no need to brace before you dip your toes in! Location wise, 20 minutes from the airport and located on a bit of a hill - it is walkable but not if you have mobility issues. Having said that, there is a buggy service which we used a couple of times when we weren't feeling very energetic & it drops you off at the bottom of the hill where you'll find a good amount of bars and restaurants, nothing too hectic. The beach is about 10 minute walk from there. I can't say enough good things about the place. The staff were fab, the suite, pool & views were lovely, food great, and its all about total relaxation during the day. I think the wonderful ladies on reception will help you out if you want to arrange any trips. It's the first time we've discussed going back the following year

When we arrived at Zante Maris Suites the welcome was very pleasant, and during our checkin we were informed that there was an issue with our room and that we were rebooked to the Honeymoonsuite for the whole stay (10 nights). As you can imagine we were very happy about this. The suite (Vanilla) was so spacious, beautiful and the garden plus large pool were incredible. The view (sea) was very calming. The location itself is perfect, beautiful green scenery, lots of olivetrees, flowers and other plants. Great restaurant, outdoor/poolbar. But the best part of this wonderful place are the people who work there, they could not be more accomodating, helpful and kind. The lovely woman at the breakfast (nevr had such a large choice of great options!), the girls who bring your coffees, the reception ladies, the bar personnel and the guys who take care of everything. And if you want to explore outside, the little town is only a few minutes walking away, but when needed they can also bring you by golfcar :) It has many bars, restaurants and beachclubs. Only 10s from me! If you like to relax and enjoy the beauty of a supercomplete stay in paradise; book a room at Zante Maris Suites!

We just completed our stay for five nights at Zante Maris Suites. We had an absolutely excellent stay and couldn't recommend this hotel more strongly. First and foremost, the staff were above and beyond five stars. You'll end up seeing alot of the same familiar faces during your stay and everyone was pleasant and very helpful. The hotel staff appears to be equipped to help with anything and everything that is needed. The hotel helped arrange our travel to and from the airport as well as a 5 hour private boat tour to various beaches and swimming spots on the island. The boat tour arranged was great and clearly one of the higher end tours available (newer boat, great captain, etc). The food and drink at the hotel were also very high quality. We ended up having two tasting menus with the restaurant for dinner. One in coordination with a Zakynthian night with local food and a two piece string band playing local music. The other night we arranged a private dinner with a set menu and the food was exceptional. The breakfast was great. Everything is included even if you order off the menu. The buffet was quite nice and definitely on par with any other five star hotel at which we have stayed. We also ordered room service several times for a midday snack and everything was great. The hotel facilities are very nice. We used both the private pool at our room as well as the hotel pool. The hotel pool was never crowded and always peaceful. The bar by the pool was nice and getting drinks or food brought to pool chairs was easy. The hotel uses an app which, in my opinion, was very helpful. It was super easy to order room service or book a reservation at the restaurant. We did not use the wellness treatments at the hotel but rather booked services at the sister hotel Olea All Suites Hotel which was a very short walk. ZMS does not have a proper spa but rather provided services in a private cabana by the pool. The general location is very nice. If you want a more tranquil experience, this is definitely the right choice. Down in the city near the beach is a bit more lively. It is a short(ish) 15 minute walk to pretty much everything there. There is a hill and some steps to climb to get back to the hotel. As New Yorkers in their 30s this was literally nothing, but I have seen other reviews of people being a bit challenged by the hill. It's just a small price to pay for the beautiful views of the hillside and ocean from the hotel. We did experience the odor for one night that others mentioned in their reviews. It's apparently something to do with the sewer system on the island and the natural occurrence of sulfur. It was mentioned it usually happens after a rain (which was true in our case). We found several other hotels with this noted in their reviews as well so I don't belive this is unique to ZMS. We left our door open for an hour or two and the odor was pretty much eliminated for the night, and didn't return during our stay. We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely come back and recommend it to any family and friends.

Wow, where do I start! From the moment we arrived until the second we left (given a farewell gift) everything was outstanding. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite called Vanilla. A beautiful large room with a huge infinity pool. Everything spotlessly clean and the room was turned over twice a day. We had lots of room service and ate in the restaurant 3 times during our stay. The food was impeccable. We enjoyed steak, lamb, pork and chicken dishes. Compliments to to the chef! Breakfast every morning was great, lots of choice and if you wanted to ask for something a little different all needs were accommodated. What makes this hotel extra special is the staff. So kind and friendly, everyone couldn’t do enough for you. We were made to feel super special, with a surprise gift for our anniversary! I wish we could remember everyone’s name to say thank you to, so many! Special thanks to Vicky who communicated brilliantly with me before we arrived, arranging an upgrade and lots more. Special thank you Costa (cocktail) and Catalina who made us amazing drinks in the pool bar and gave us many smiles during our stay. The grooms were amazing, whatever we needed they were there within minutes, we loved being transported by the golf cart! Great service from the room to restaurant or down the hill when going to the beach. Also the beautiful lady who greeted us at reception, sorry cannot remember her name, we called her Mila Kunis, was brilliant to. We cannot thank everyone enough!! Highly recommend!!!!

First of all, the staff!!!! All staff are attentive and amazing. We were able to book car hire, local trips etc with their assistance . The golf buggy service was a life saver for heart attack hill!!!! The room and private pool was so well appointed and the cleaning service was second to none. Breakfast was so good, and on e again, staff were always on point. A dream holiday for us, made more so by this wonderful place. We will be back!!
