I’m writing this review whilst on my sunbed the day before we come home. We arrived 23rd Nov for a week and booked with Love holidays- flights, transfers etc all spot on. Arriving at the hotel we were told to take a seat and then we checked in with a glass of fizz and chocolate covered strawberries and were added to the WhatsApp group with our ‘assistants’ which is a really good set up- you can ask for anything and you get a really quick response. Room- we had a land view room on the first floor of the main building- but land view is also lovely- it overlooked a pool and is set back from the quiet road outside. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. Good pressure in the shower and a pod coffee machine, mini bar has nuts, chocolate, fizzy drinks, water and beer. Toiletries are good, there’s a body sponge, razor and shaving cream, toothbrush & toothpaste, cotton wool, l’occitane shampoo, conditioner & soap and there were mini bottles of body wash. You also get robes and slippers. Really well equipped! Also, you can take as many things of the above as you need from the spa. Food- we ate at the main restaurant, cuisine 24 and the steak restaurant. Both restaurants offer an appetiser board, several starters and salads and then a good selection of mains to choose from. The steak restaurant costs a 25 euro supplement pp, which is well worth the money. Steaks are excellent and service is great. Due to it being the ‘winter programme’ no other Al a cartes were open but we enjoyed eating at each. As with every all inclusive it does get a little repetitive, but I’ve not had one bad meal here. Also, ordering a glass of wine with tea we were brought a new bottle each time which was opened in front of us and the bottle left on the table - lovely touch. At lunch Vista Bar serves burgers etc and cuisine 24 is also open. Patisserie is also lovely with lots of choice and lovely chocolates! Bars- again due to the more limited winter programme only really The lobby bar and Vista open- but both were really nice to sit in. There was entertainment in both at 9pm, we enjoyed the vista as they had a few quiz’s and more lively feeling. You can get snacks with your drinks- nuts and crisps- which is a really nice touch. Ahmet who works in the Lobby bar is really friendly and appears to love his job! There is also a games room with pool tables, bowling and arcade games as well as a cinema room incase of bad weather- which are all free of charge. Grounds- lovely, the pool area and view out to sea are beautiful and I watched the most beautiful sunset from the pier. Drinks- great choice, fizz is the best I’ve had at an all inclusive, lots of staff around to take orders ( QR codes not in operation at this time of year) and cocktails were lovely and as everyone says served in the correct glass which makes all the difference. It’s really quiet area, we walked into Side old town twice and it took us 35 mins, there is a bus you can get outside the hotel ( number 11) but there seems to be no set time it’s arrives and the 10 bus back from Side is also hit and miss. The first few days weather wise was clear but windy we defo needed coats but we’ve had 4 days of heat and the temp has been lovely. We stayed at Miramare Beach in March and I do slightly prefer that hotel ( I’ve written a review) and we’ve booked to come back in Feb but staying at the Barut Herema as it’s a little closer to Side old town. However, we’d happily stay here again, lovely hotel, lovely spot on the coast and all the staff are friendly. Some great touches that we’ve not had a hotel previously.
