Check-in: We arrived at the hotel before 2 PM and left our bags at the reception since there was no luggage storage, but we trusted the people around and went to explore the hotel grounds. Unfortunately, during check-in, we witnessed an unpleasant situation where a guest was shouting at the staff, complaining about mold in his room and how bad it was. It was quite upsetting and made us feel uneasy. Hotel Grounds: The area is small but cozy and quite well-maintained. There were occasional issues with cleanliness, especially during busy hours in public restrooms or outdoor areas, but overall, they kept it clean, and the staff worked hard to stay on top of it. There was no major mess, just a bit of a rush when too many people were around. There’s a pool on-site, although there aren’t many loungers available. We managed to use them a few times and swim in the pool, but most of the time we spent on the beach. Beach: Unfortunately, the beach wasn’t the cleanest. People tend to leave cigarette butts and trash on the sand, which is frustrating. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to carry your waste to the bins provided. Despite that, the sea was clear, and the views were breathtaking. It was wonderful to relax, read a book, and enjoy nature. Room: The hotel itself is old, and the rooms are quite basic and small with no luxury touches. We stayed in a standard room, which didn’t have any wardrobes. My sister was quite upset when we checked in, as she’s a bit picky, but we decided to save money on accommodation to afford more excursions and trips. The room was small and didn’t provide any shampoo or shower gel—just a dispenser with what seemed like hand soap. However, the balcony had a nice view of the village, and the scenery was lovely no matter where you looked. The room was cleaned every day, with bed linens changed and towels replaced regularly. If we needed more soap or anything, we could request it. And the cleaning staff were very friendly. Staff: The hotel staff deserve a special mention. Everyone, from the bar staff to housekeeping and the receptionists, was incredible! Their kindness and friendliness left such a lasting impression that I’m still thinking about how great they were. I could give the hotel 5 stars just for the staff alone. Most of the guests were British, and there was one wonderful girl who spoke Russian, but honestly, language was never an issue. I don’t understand why some people expect hotel staff to speak their language when visiting a foreign country (except maybe English, which is more universal). They helped us with every issue and question we had during our stay and always found solutions to any problems we encountered. We were given a room as requested (I asked to give as a good room on the second floor), without any hassles or attempts to charge us extra, unlike other hotels where we’ve had those experiences. The bartenders were always cheerful, and we exchanged small talk throughout our stay. The guest host/manager for foreign guests, who organized activities and services, was the best! I wish I remembered his name, but he made our stay even better. Many hotels could learn from this place when it comes to service. I now always hope to find such friendly and helpful staff wherever I go. Food: I’m quite picky with food, but I always found something to eat. I don’t eat meat, and they served fish frequently (pretty much every day). The coffee was delicious, and the desserts were great. The selection wasn’t huge, but it was enjoyable to sit outside, have a meal, drink some wine, and relax. If you’re also selective about food, don’t worry—you won’t overeat or gain those vacation pounds here! Internet: The internet situation was definitely disappointing. The Wi-Fi barely worked inside the hotel, and the only decent connection we could get was outside, either by the pool or on the beach. If you need to be connected during your stay, it’s important to be aware of this. Hopefully, they improve their Wi-Fi in the future. Location: The hotel is located in a small village about 20 minutes from Marmaris. It’s a charming, authentic village where we enjoyed evening strolls, and there’s a little shop about 10 minutes away, run by a kind local man. Conclusion: My experience wasn’t really shaped by the room or the food—it was about the beauty of the country and, most importantly, the people who made our stay unforgettable. Despite the initial unpleasant situation during check-in, we left with such a sense of joy! I feel like I’ve discovered the true Turkish hospitality on this trip, and it was an amazing experience.
