The Residence Maldives At Dhigurah

The Residence is exceptional - we went as a family (6 adults) to celebrate a large birthday and the resort had something for everyone. The stand out point was definitely the brilliant staff who are absolutely fantastic at their jobs, making our stay memorable in all the best ways. I have been fortunate to travel to the Maldives three times, and this was the best trip yet. The over-the-water sunrise rooms were unbelievable, the reef was utterly amazing and we didn't have to go out far at all to see reef sharks, turtles, sting rays and such a huge variety of colourful fish - it was like being in an aquarium! The two islands being linked meant there was so much to do every day and no two days were the same with the selection of restaurants and places to snorkel. Having the option to walk, cycle or get buggies everywhere made everything so easy (and fun!) The Spa facilities were superb on both islands, and the sunrise yoga was really special. For the birthday celebrations we had a private dining 'Fire & Stars' experience on the Castaway beach - this was out of this world. The biggest shout out to Sajith who expertly crafted a brilliant evening; we could not have dreamed of something better!! He was superb and an absolute credit to the resort - you'll be in very safe hands if you book a similar experience. We had the best seafood we have ever eaten in the most magical setting - and whole thing was a surprise for the birthday guest which made it even better - thank you for organising and keeping it a secret! The Dining Room restaurant manager, Hafiz, and his team, were fantastic - exceptional service and attention to detail that made us feel very special. I can't overstate how super they were (especially Nafu who was so lovely!) We also loved the team at Cafe del Sol/The Beach Club - again, could not fault the service or attention to detail (shout out to the DJ!) Overall, we had the most brilliant time and have made memories we will treasure for a lifetime - thank you! We cannot recommend it enough. (Side note: We took a tip from previous guests and got some beach/water shoes - they were not needed everywhere but they were great for various points on the island to walk out to snorkel).

A beautiful resort! The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. A special mention to Sajith & Hazir at the dining room. and Tuhin at Li Bai Long Island restaurant who offered exceptional service throughout. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. We stayed in an over water villa, the views were stunning. We honestly cannot fault the resort, hotel, setting, staff and our entire stay.

Favourite place to chill and relax was the beach club. The beach club team Anish, Nuwan, Moshraf and Udara were awesome! The food was great and the service for drinks pool side everyday was perfect. Watching the sunset whilst singing karaoke or sipping cocktails on the pool was a great way to finish the day…on multiple occasions.

The best holiday we’ve ever had. The resort is stunning and our beach pool Villa was perfect, particularly with our 3 year old son. The food was incredible and everyone who works there could not have been more helpful. Particularly Hafiz and everyone in the restaurant who made such an effort with our young son to keep him entertained. The service was flawless. Thank you so so much! We will be back xx

We stayed for 10 days over Xmas, as a family of 4. My sons are 5 & 10. We were in a sunrise villa, which was beautiful. I thought we may of felt cramped with the 2 extra beds, but it was super spacious. The buffet restaurant always had an excellent food selection, with themed nights. My youngest only ate chips every evening, if they weren’t on offer Hafiz the manager arranged for some to be cooked for him. He was amazing, as were all the waiting staff. Nothing ever too much, always welcomed with a smile. We liked being able to use the facilities on both islands, and stopping off at the castaway island on our way to the twinned island. There’s buggies which go round the island, which if ever we were walking they’d always ask if we wanted to hop on. I think one of the drivers names was Milan (he was my son’s fav!) There’s a mini bar in the room which is restocked daily. We all loved our holiday here, they look after you exceptionally well! The only thing I would suggest is the sunset villas have a better beach. Round our side the sea was just seaweed for as far as you could see. Would love to return to this paradise island again one day!
