Peaceful Paradise Just Minutes from Lamai and Chaweng

I recently stayed at The Lamai Resort & Spa with my mother, sister, and nieces, and we had such a wonderful time. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the resort is peaceful and lush with greenery, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — their warm hospitality truly made our stay special. The location is also very convenient, just a short drive from both Lamai and Chaweng, making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying a quiet and serene environment at the resort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

More than a hotel!

We have been wanting to visit Koh Samui and finally got to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary here. We booked a room with a private pool and meals included and it was everything we had hoped for! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after, the food and beverage staff led by Kwan ensured every meal was a delight! The warmth and customer service provided to us was exceptional and we will not forget Timi,Mint, Man, Mata and Aor who made us feel so special. We wish you all the best for the future 🙏 Thankyou for making our stay so memorable ✨️

Stunning hotel

We had a wonderful stay at the Lamai. The hotel is stunning with its restaurant overlooking the beautiful beachside pool, but what really makes the hotel stand out are its amazing staff. I didn’t catch everyone’s names, but Kwan and Biggy especially went out of their way to accommodate and befriend our (sometimes slightly tricky) 18m old. I think our daughter must have felt like a celebrity whenever we went for breakfast or drinks because of how many of the staff knew her name and said hello to her - it was amazing, thank you! Breakfast was delicious and having sunset cocktails on their special pier was so memorable. Our room was beautiful (swim Up pool room) and very comfortable with an enormous bathroom and bath. We would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone!! Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Absolutely top notch.

I really don’t understand why anyone can diss off this place. It might be the authors that have issue with themselves. The Lamai samui is top notch. The room was clean and tidy. The air con worked as it should. The shower was hot. The bed was comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and welcoming. They work with a grin from ear to ear. Going to breakfast every morning and being greeted like this set us up for a good day, every day. We hired scooters through the reception and one of them broke down. The ladies on reception sorted all of this out for us with the hire company. We didn’t do a thing. Now, the food. Wow, the food was excellent and some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. The Thai green curry was exceptional. Was like a fizz bomb of flavours exploding in my mouth. Highly recommended. A massive thank you from both of us for looking after us and making our time on Ko samui one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you to all members of staff. You’re all attributes to the hotel. Top job.

Disappointed

We have just completed a six night stay at the hotel. The hotel looks good when You arrive. We had a room with a plunge pool. Design is ridiculous. You have a porch style room.. then a bedroom, then a space for plunge pool and then shower , toilet and sink. This means in the night you are going outside to use toilet or have a shower. I’m covered in bites despite applying mozzie repellent. When it rained the toilet was flooded. The hotel is tired. Could do with a paint. Not enough sunshades. Service willing but patchy at times. Breakfast ok. Not outstanding. Dinner again ok. Nice setting but food nothing special. Room cleaning not great. One day bathroom hadn’t been cleaned at all. Have to say massage was excellent. No sunbeds on beach. The towns of Lamai and Chaweng are tacky. All in all a good week but hotel not up to scratch. Certainly not a 5 star.
