There are lots of positives to say about the hotel. The staff are very friendly and ready to help, especially the bar staff who are always very busy! Food in the buffet was very nice, lots of delicious salads and great desserts too. The resort is smart and clean, all the areas are well kept both inside and out. Irish pub is a great laugh but can be crowded so get there early for a table or booth. There was live music each night in there, we also tried the ballroom for a live act but it wasn’t good quality. Kids club is awesome, there’s a large soft play and outdoor playground and the staff were great with the kids. The older ones were also free to come and go which was ideal for us. We are out of season and got a bit unlucky with the weather although on one warmer day the kids loved the heated outdoor pool as well as the indoor pool. Due to weather the slides weren’t on but that is not the fault of the hotel, they look very good. Lobby and other bars are very comfortable and lots of seating. Couple of things which could have made our stay better would be that the app was working well and showing correct information. Sometimes it was hard to find out the range of facilities, bars and restaurants which were open as it’s out of season. The app doesn’t work well on iPhone. The beach jetty was being refurbished or is out of action for winter, it wasn’t good weather so I can understand that but we couldn’t use it which was unfortunate. Table service in the restaurant and bars was inconsistent, we were never sure if they were coming over or not. Balconies are pretty small, narrow and ours didn’t get any sun. We considered upgrading but didn’t ask when we arrived, if we came back I would get the duplex or a better room. We are in block 2 which is well located but noise can be heard from the rooms either side. Not a big deal. Cocktails weren’t great but the wine was drinkable and the beer (although served in really small glasses) was decent.
