Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives

I have so much to say and want to keep this review as short as possible to avoid boring anyone. This was our first time to the Maldives and of course Sun Siyam Iru Fushi and it didn’t disappoint in anyway. The atoll, accommodation, staff, entertainment, etc all lived up to its reputation as per other people’s reviews. On arrival at Male airport (after collecting our cases) the Sun Siyam representative was waiting for us & we were swiftly taken to the Sun Siyam lounge to relax & wait for our sea plane, the smoothest process you can imagine. There you can watch the seaplanes arrivals & departures in the comfort of the lounge. You don’t see your cases from the moment you check in for the seaplane until you get to your room - it’s all taken care of by Sun Siyam staff and they are super efficient. A brilliant start to your holiday and typical of the staffs efficiency. The Seaplane transfer is beyond exciting but it was a windy day for us so the journey was a little bumpy. On arrival you receive their ‘Siyam’ greeting and meet your butler, in our case the amazing Fayaz. Your butler provides a daily programme of what’s going on, really useful. Accommodation - We stayed in a beach villa, the accommodation was exceptional, everything you could possibly require is provided, from flip flops, umbrellas, soaps, iron, mosquito spray ( but be warned use the pink bottle this is free, the boxed repellent is chargeable- it’s all clearly outlined in the menu card provided). I would suggest not to take any shower gel, shampoo, theirs is great and you can save on your luggage allowance. Half way through our holiday we requested if there was an opportunity to switch from our beach villa & upgrade to an over water villa and after some negotiating a deal was done. We were so glad we changed, it was like having 2 different holidays, you see the atoll from 2 different perspectives, neither was better than the other, just 2 different approaches- brilliant and if you could get the opportunity, I’d highly recommend. The atoll is presented impeccably, there is constant upkeep going on, staff work tirelessly to ensure the grounds, accommodation, etc are perfect for your stay, down to the smoke man out daily for the mosquito management. Be warned however, if it rains be extra vigilant and enthusiastic with your repellent. Staff - The staff throughout our stay were exceptional without exception, we loved the staff in particular at the Waters Edge Bar & a huge thank you to them all but have to a special thanks to Asanka, Narender & Manish. Also to Bipin who tirelessly & proactively delivered our drinks when we were on the beach. The restaurants all served the most delicious food, you won’t be disappointed and the menu varied enough to cover all demands. Entertainment - all brilliant, just sit and enjoy their talents. The entertainment varies daily, around the atoll, visit the different locations to see them ie, Sunset Happy Hour at the Reflections bar, Waters Edge from 21:30, etc. Snorkelling - amazing everywhere but in particular the reefs by the water villas and personally I preferred under the water villas themselves where the larger fish were, ie sharks & stingrays, they are literally swimming alongside you. So much to say but going to leave it at that. To summarise- an amazing holiday in all respects, if you’re considering going, just book and enjoy your time x

Beautiful island with a lovey unobtrusive hotel room villas dispersed secretly throughout. Loads of quality restaurants, fantastic service, great facilities. But … but … it is the (literally) endless white sand beach and the aquamarine sea that will stay with us forever. It is hard to think of a more beautiful place.

We visited the resort as two couples for two weeks. After having a great time at a different 5* resort in the Maldives the previous year we were a little hesitant that it would be as good.... we needn't have worried! From arrival to departure the friendliness and service from all of the staff shone through and made a huge difference to our stay. We stayed in two beach villas with pool, which are due for refurbishment, but we found them to be spacious, comfortable and perfect for our holiday as we prefer to be closer to restaurants and entertainment. The choice and standard of restaurants was excellent, we'd pre booked for most nights and would recommend doing this if staying in high season. Although Flavours was still closed, the Italian and French menus were available at Trio which was our favourite place to eat. Entertainment was pretty good overall at the Waters Edge with a mix of singers, DJ's and karaoke (our least favourite night!) but always something on even if it was in the background as we were having cocktails. The sunset at reflections / the beach club was excellent, the daily DJ was often accompanied by a saxophonist or violinist and made for stunning early evenings. We did have a couple of very minor issues which were addressed immediately and very well. Another sign of excellent customer service. This was also the best diving we've had anywhere, we were able to dive with manta rays, sharks, turtles and dive to a couple of wrecks too. The dive school was excellent with Shaheen and TJ looking after us very well. We can't mention everyone but special thanks to the following who made our stay so special: Naveen, our butler who was there for everything including things we didn't even know we needed! A perfect representative for the resort. Gayan, Durav and Gopal at the Waters Edge... brilliant service and cocktails! Abdullah, Sujanna and Ashen at fluid.. our go to for lunch. Deepisna and Yalsan at Bamboo. Our housekeeper Suraj, who was excellent and always smiling! Finally Dilshan at Trio for brilliant service at a very busy time. Good luck to Matteo too, a baptism of fire with Flavours still being closed but worked incredibly hard to make it work. We rarely go back to resorts as it's a big world and lots to experience but this might just be an exception... would recommend to anyone who wants a resort with lots of options and excellent service.

We spent an unforgettable week at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, and everything was simply perfect. Our renovated overwater villa was an absolute dream - beautifully designed, spacious, and offering breathtaking views over the lagoon. Waking up every morning surrounded by turquoise water felt truly magical. What made our stay exceptional, beyond the stunning setting, was the incredible team. Every single staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the island. A very special thank you to our butler, Thahseen, whose kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay effortless and truly special. We would also like to warmly thank Gopal, the always smiling and cheerful bartender, who introduced us to the perfect refreshing cocktail: the unforgettable Gopal35 (gin and cucumber). A must-try not on the menu (but maybe very soon… Sun Siyam Iru Fushi delivered the perfect Maldivian experience, combining hospitality, and unforgettable moments. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for paradise.

The resort have awesome staff, environment and food , we tried few restaurants there but fluid chef Vikram but us extra comfortable as we are vegetarian, out of all restaurants we founded fluid restaurant food the best , thanks to the chef Vikram
