Our experience at this resort was an utter disaster. I have never been so disappointed on a holiday, and the sheer number of lies and excuses from the staff made it unbearable. For the exorbitant amount we paid, we were met with subpar service, poor facilities, and absolute indifference toward guests. Let’s start with the quality of the products and services: everything was of the most substandard quality imaginable. From the furniture to the amenities, nothing met even basic expectations. The Halloween BBQ we were looking forward to? Cancelled last minute due to "weather"—what an excuse! Even people in the Stone Age could predict weather better than this management. The resort's priorities were clear: staff over guests. At the bar, I waited forever for drinks while the staff served each other before attending to me. Unacceptable! The environment was equally appalling. On one side, the resort stank of dead fish, and on the other, the smell of a sewage pit depending on the wind’s direction. The lagoon was lifeless, devoid of any marine life, and to top it off, cargo ships and working boats docked right by the beach, ruining the view and atmosphere completely. Sleep was impossible thanks to the seaplanes flying right past our villa between 6:00 and 7:30 AM. Imagine being woken up by roaring engines just 30 meters from your bed. So much for a relaxing getaway. The final blow was the experience at Male airport. After spending $34,000 for a two-week holiday, we were dumped in the terminal for seven hours with no assistance whatsoever. We were only offered an upgrade to a lounge for an additional $650. This was beyond insulting—an extortionate way to squeeze more money out of guests. This resort is nothing more than a scam. There are countless better places in the Maldives offering genuine luxury, exceptional service, and respect for their guests. Avoid this resort at all costs. Learn from our experience—don’t waste your time or money here.
