First, let me say that I booked this home through Aco Vacation Homes. I booked a house in Reunion back in December, paid, and received an email a couple of weeks later saying that the property is no longer available. They then put us in another house, which would not accommodate our party. After many emails back-and-forth, we landed at Solterra, which is 5 miles further from Walt Disney World. The house is supposed to sleep 16 people, and they were very careful to point out that each bathroom only has two towels and one roll of toilet paper. The entire unit came with one garbage bag, one dishwasher tablet and two laundry pods. They were also careful to point out that they provide zero washcloths. One of the master bedrooms had a sheet and a fleece blanket for the bed, which would be fine normally, but the weather was in the 40s while we were here, so not warm enough! The kitchen was big, but the appliances were old and the coffee makers filter was torn. It just didn’t have basic amenities, such as potholders or baking sheets. One of the bathrooms had a giant hole in the wall, where the toilet paper holder was missing. Since it cost a minimum of $150 to heat the pool and hot tub, we opted out and went to the community pool area, which was very nice! We had to pay a one-time facility fee of $35, but it was totally worth it, as they have hot tubs, aheated pool, tennis, Pickleball courts, and even a lazy river with inner tubes (not heated so we didn’t try it but it looked fun in warmer weather). It was about a half hour drive to the Disney parks, and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. It was a nice place, but we took away two stars since it was so under equipped.
