Beautiful beach that needs better cleaning!

The location is amazing and the beach is beautiful! The family room was good but the extra bed for kids was very uncomfortable! The cleaning around the resort could be much better. There is plastic around the palm trees and the restaurant that nobody seems to pick up! A man was sweeping around our bungalow every day, but somehow managed to miss the plastic and litter from humans. Only concentrating on leaves. The staff is sweet but speaks almost no English, so not the easiest to communicate with. Food was ok but not more, and the minimart was beyond small.

Unfortunately I have to strongly disagree with my wife (Tuuli M). I would be lying if I told that this was anything but the worst hotel experience. This place clearly rides on its location, which is absolutely great indeed. This is keeping me from giving just 1 star. Also majority of the staff were quite nice even though they did not speak / understand English on a lowest level. I think this is just poor management: managers should put everyone to a mandatory English course. Google translator does not solve all the problems. The bed was terrible. It was like sleeping on concrete covered with thin cloth. I believe that I have never experienced a bed so hard in my life. There was no place for your clothes, not a single closet, so basically you are living out of your suitcase. The air conditioning is so low powered that it can not keep the air of the room dry. It cools ok but the air is still moist so don´t expect any clothes to dry. Breakfast was disappointment as well. No fresh juices, dry waffles in addition to whitest of white toast. On top of all they had a sign saying "maple syrup" in a bowl that contained honey. Quite a surprise but not a pleasant one. They offer you a free use of kayak for one hour but be sure to stay in shallow waters unless you want to wear the moldy life vests they offer. This is nothing less but an insult to guests. The reception is open only until 6 pm. Obviously with these prices I was not expecting much but did not get even that. I strongly recommend to stay elsewhere if possible.

Lovely and sympathetic resort

We visited for over 2 weeks in this lovely resort with my husband. We stayed in the adorable looking small cottage right in front of the sea. The beach was outstanding, the tieds was not issue at all, since the bottom of the sea was so smooth, clean sand. You could swim anytime and as long that fingers got wrinkled in soft warm, amazingly clear water. The beach suites for small chlilden too. Genuine paradise beach. The resorts staff was very friendly, especially in the restaurant that suprised me positively with the quality of food. There were plenty of choices that tasted really good, especially the curries. Breakfast could have little more variety, but it was mostly because I have celiac disease, so all cerials, breads, croissants etc. was out of question. If You have special needs concerning food, I wouldn't get hopes very high in Thailand (if You don't speak thai), since locals understand only couple of words english and even with google translator misscommunication is common. For example "rice flour" is often pure wheat so do not eat anything that has any flour in it. Also, they do not understand celiac disease even explained, since it is mostly europeans issue. So fellow celiacs: bring emergency food with you just in case such as gluten free oat flakes and You'll be fine : ) In the resort restsurant they kindly  prepared for me only flourless meals.  The small cottage had everything we needed since we were not looking for luxury: warm water, clean sheets and fridge, but the bed was really hard -  even so that it was unconfortable to sleep some nights.  Monkey Bar has excellent moctails and milkshakes and great staff too!  I warmly recommend this resort to everyone who seeks quet paradise to relax.
