Sentido Port Royal Villas & Spa

We got engaged at Port Royal in 2023 and had such an amazing time we decided to return July 2024 for our honeymoon. Once again we couldn’t fault a thing - all of the staff go above and beyond (especially those in the La Pasteria restaurant who remembered us from our previous stay and are always so warm and friendly), and we were given lots of lovely extras to make our honeymoon all the more memorable. This included a room upgrade to one of the newly refurbished rooms with private sea view terrace and jacuzzi - the room was immaculate and very comfortable. There’s plenty to see and do within close range of the hotel if you want a break from all the relaxing! Highlights for us this year was a trip to Rhodes Old Town, and a private speed boat hire which allowed us to explore the coastline at our own leisure. Another wonderful stay at Port Royal, i’m sure we’ll be back!

Port Royal was a fantastic place to relax and unwind. Quality accommodation, food and beverages and above all service. True it was the last week of the season and so relatively quiet as the resort started to wind down but to be fair to the staff (many of whom had worked the 7 month season with very little time off) they were excellent and provided genuine, warm, friendly and attentive service throughout our stay. We were staying in the Rodos Suite (room 902), one of four beachfront suites with their own private pool. It was fantastic, a very spacious room and a lovely heated pool that looked out to the sea. We loved it. Everywhere was spotlessly clean especially around the pool areas, paths and gardens - again all very well maintained. We went All Inclusive and at first thought that our menu choices would be limited (look for the crowns on the menus) but as the food was so incredibly well thought through, presented and tasty we easily managed 10 days here. We mainly ate in the Le Pasteleria restaurant next to the pool and we served by a great team including Pepper and Eva (cousins!) with favourite dishes being the 5 mushroom bruschetta and the beef cheek ragu with tagliatelle. Evening entertainment understandably was quite limited but we enjoyed some good evenings up in Cibus drinking cocktails listening to some super singers. We would thoroughly recommend Port Royal, tucked away in Kolymbia, a short 30 minute transfer from the airport. A peaceful, relaxing and luxurious resort befitting of its 5 stars.

Our 2 week Stay at Sentido Port Royal in Rhodes was sensational. We arrived late and it was a lovely surprise to find a welcome sandwich. Very thoughtful. We had booked a sea view room. It was spacious with beautiful furniture and large shower room. Two sisters cleaned our room and it was immaculate. They took care of every detail. The bed was so comfortable and Zoe the manager was always around with such a warm smile. In the morning when we pulled back the curtains the view was stunning. The Sun rise from the beach is magnificent but you will need to get up at 6.30ish:):):) Guest services were organised by Maria such an incredible lady who has worked at the hotel for 15 years. Her energy was so lovely and she was so elegant. I think Nicos also helped and another brilliant guy. Anything you needed was provided. When we asked for more water it arrived so quickly. We even like Soya milk in our tea and Maria always made sure we had this in our room. Words really cannot describe how brilliant Maria and her team were. Our breakfast was fabulous with so much choice. Michael the manager is always on hand to take care of everything with his captain Flora and team Georgia and others. We had so many breakfast choices. We loved the fresh orange juice and we made our own Greek coffee which was so tasty. The restaurant has so many breakfast bars it had something for everyone and more:):):) TRIPS The hotel is conveniently located between Rhodes town and Lindos. We booked a car one day from the lady at the hotel. I think she was called Maria. It was so easy without any extra charges. We went to Lindos for the day which is only a 30 mins drive. You must check out Lindos it’s so elegant and charming. We got the local bus twice to the Old Town. The reception staff in the hotel had the bus times printed off and explained everything. The bus takes approximately 30 mins to the Old town and costs 4 Euro one way. We enjoyed the old town so much we went twice. It’s like a Harry Potter world:):) The facilities in the hotel are so many with yoga and fitness classes and tennis. Many people enjoyed ping pong. The swimming pools are stunning and in the evening they are lovely with all the sparkly lights:) We were at the beach most days and the sun loungers were very comfortable. We had fresh beach towels which you could collect whenever you needed from the main swimming pool which was heated. Their were several swimming pools:) SPA The Spa was luxurious. We used the swimming pool and Sauna daily. You must experience the lighting in the swimming pool at night:) The Spa is always lit by many candles and is so relaxing. I opted for a golden veil therapy. It made me feel like a star as they wrapped your body in 24 carrot gold. I was shining after. The massage room was finely balanced with fragrances, lighting and sounds. Top notch. Stomatia was my masseus who was a very lovely, warm and professional. Iona and Felio organised everything in the Spa and they had all the knowledge of the treatments and products. They took care of us so well. Dinner. Each night was themed. We had so much choice you will really have to experience this. I am vegan and Nikos was the Sou chef and was like a super hero. He was truly a talent. He would walk round all the food counters each evening and explain what I could eat. I have never experienced this level of kindness. He was just born to be the best chef. His team were brilliant. Adonis who made wonderful tacos and different themed foods outside. Another brilliant chef was on the live counter and we are sorry we can’t recall his name. He was so cheerful and happy. We only got to see many chefs and Nicos at work in the Al carte restaurant. It was open plan kitchen so it was wonderful to watch him and his team as the orders rolled in. The food in this restaurant was incredible too. They have a wood fired oven and the smell is mouth watering. The deserts were presented on so beautiful. Manos also a chef explained a dish he had made. Some ladies who were so kind in the Al Carte restaurant were Pepper and Giota were incredibly professional. The desert counter was out of this world. We met the pastry chef who was an incredible artist. They always had 3-4 egg free deserts. The other waitresses who were super were Koula, Athoula and Theodocia. A pianist called Yanis accompanied dinner and it was so relaxing. The music entertainment was very good with even some lovely musicians playing during the day sometimes at the pool. We apologise for not remembering everyone’s names but we do remember everyone’s faces. For example the other brilliant chef at another live counter:) In summary. We just feel so blessed to have experienced the Port Royal in Rhodes whilst the facilities and everthing catered is certainly 5 stars what makes this hotel so very special are the people who work there. They are mindful, thoughtful and kind. They really want you to enjoy your holiday and be happy. They care! Nothing is too much for them. The people are a credit to this hotel Group and it was our good fortune to have met such people.

Fantastic stay . Beautiful hotel. We stayed in a swim up room and I would definitely recommend. The restaurants in the hotel are top notch . We must give a special mention to Giota in the Italian restaurant ,our daughter has a sesame and nut allergy and she was absolutely outstanding in taking charge of ensuring that all the restaurants in the hotel were aware and she even arranged for some of the dishes in the Italian restaurant to be adapted nut and sesame free for her , truly outstanding. It was so fantastic our daughter has booked to return next year with her boyfriend.

We highly recommend Sentido Port Royal villa and spa in Kolimbya Rhodes. An amazing, beautiful, quiet resort at a supreme level. Intended for adults only. A selection of luxury restaurants. We Would like to especially mention the restaurant armira / la pasteria and the amazing and family staff under the management of Giota Maitre together with the charming and the only one Pepa and Eya. and under the direction of Chef NIcos. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace and quiet in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Looking forward to coming back again next year.
