Secrets Riviera Cancun All Preferred-Adults Only

Resort was beautiful and the room was nice. The food was a big disappointment. Resort food is rarely great, but this was not even average. The only specialty restaurant that was edible was the Asian. The pool was nice and well maintained. Probably won't be back.

This resort is wonderful, but it’s the phenomenal staff that truly makes it such a perfect experience. They are the happiest, kindest, hardest working people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting on vacation. Spicy Luis has the most incredible personality and boundless amounts of energy, which made for the most fun water aerobic classes. Jose’s magical hands poolside, made a spa day a must have at this resort. Addy’s facial and Swedish massage were the best I have ever experienced! I was ready to melt into a puddle at her feet and the Mexico heat had nothing to do with it! Adrian and Daniel made the pool experience such a pleasure. The care they take in finding you the perfect seat - even cleaning your sunglasses for you - is wonderful. I loved swapping stories and learning about Adrian’s passion for fashion ( I wish him great success)! Nedel is such an incredibly sweet human and works his butt off! Your glass is never dry when he’s on shift! Mar is a mind reader and will have a new drink in your hand without you even knowing you want it. Just fabulous poolside service from these two! I’m convinced Angel (buffet server) is an angel sent from heaven. He is actually the sweetest man I have ever met. Angel (Breathless activities) is an unbeatable Connect 4 player with such a wonderful outgoing spirit! There were so many more staff members, I unfortunately didn’t catch names of everyone, but they were truly all amazing. The grounds, facilities, rooms, were always spotless and well stocked. The rooms themselves are modern and comfortable. The Strip Grill served the best Filet Mignon I have ever had. I highly recommend a dinner at Spumante Italian restaurant and the Vanilla Chai Frappes at the Cafe are to die for! Overall all the food is great. Such a great trip! Thank you to all the staff who made it such an unforgettable time!

We stayed in the Preferred Club. The private Club lounge was quaint and always had great small bites to snack on. Everything was amazing! From the Tequila tasting to the multitude of restaurants. The spa was fantastic as well. Juan Perez and Daniel at the pool took care of us everyday! Top notch all around!

My wife and I stayed at this resort for six nights and were were very happy with everything during our stay. The room was comfortable the patio overlooking the ocean was beautiful and the food was delicious. Unfortunately my wife took a fall our first night at the resort but the paramedics and in house doctor treated her with care and we were able to go about our vacation. The wait staff around the pool were very attentive and friendly. The pool entertainment was awesome with a variety of entertainers everything from a sax player, a violinist, synchronized swimmers and country music. The Rosewater restaurant was convenient and the food was delicious. We also dined at the Italian, Steakhouse, and the Asian restaurant. Unfortunately we were not able to get a table with a chef at the Asian restaurant and after taking to several other guests I believe that particular experience is a bonus for Hyatt members so don’t waste your time trying to get a reservation. You can however get a regular table. We were also turned away from the French restaurant because I was wearing golf shorts and not trousers. We did the complimentary shopping excursions which consisted of a forty five minute mandatory stop at an overpriced jewelry store and thirty minute mandatory stop at a tequila shop. Then you were dropped off in Playa Del Carmen for two hours. I do not recommend this experience. The pool is although beautiful, is small and all the lounge chairs are taken by 8 AM so send your early riser to claim your lounge chairs. We did not spend much time at Breathless other than the restaurants so I really cannot comment on that part of the resort. Overall we had a wonderful vacation. Go and enjoy you will not be disappointed
