Sareeraya Villas & Suites (SHA Extra +)

This is a nice boutique hotel situated directly on the beach. The private suites are spacious and comfortable and face the sea. They also have a large balcony. There is some noise from the road. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs. The breakfast buffet is very good for a boutique hotel. It’s not really suitable for families with young children as there are no amenities for them within the hotel. The staff were both friendly and helpful. It would be a good idea if they wore name badges as this would enhance the rapport between staff and guests. There is a small pool bar with a decent Happy Hour between 4pm & 7pm. Again this experience could be enhanced by some nice chill out music as daylight comes to a close. In short my wife and I would stay here again.

The hotel itself is lovely although the noise from the road can be quite annoying when you first arrive with the very loud motor cycles. However, we did get used to this after a few nights. This wouldn't be a problem if you stay in one of the villas as they are shielded from the road by the main hotel. The staff are wonderful - very friendly and helpful. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the selection of food on offer for breakfast was good quality and with plenty of choice. There were two things which did spoil the holiday a bit. The first week was wonderful but, after this, a number of families with small children arrived who failed to realise that people who choose this type of hotel may not necessarily enjoy screaming children outside their room late at night. We had three occasions when we were woken between 12.00 and 1.00 a.m. by the family next door standing on the landing right outside our door with a screaming child around two years old and another two children who were slightly older also shouting. It went on for about five minutes until I opened our door and told them to be quiet. This was totally unacceptable, inconsiderate and selfish by this family. We complained to the reception staff the next morning and they said they had spoken to the family but it didn't seem to make much difference. There were also another couple of families with several young children who were really noisy around the pool during the day. The grounds and pool area are really small so you couldn't get away from it. The hotel is not suitable for families with children as it's too small for other guests to avoid the screaming. It's obviously not designed for families with small children as there are no activities or play areas for the children. I would suggest that the hotel should be adults only. The other thing which detracted from our enjoyment of our holiday, and this isn't anything to do with the hotel, but there was a huge amount of litter floating in the water and all over the beach. In places the sea water looked as though it had sewage in it. This is a problem with the beach as a whole. It certainly put me off swimming in the sea.

We stayed in Jan 2025 for 5 nights as part of our 3 week honeymoon around Thailand. We stayed in a villa with plunge pool - unfortunately the pool was grotty and needs some maintenance as it’s clearly been a few years since it was looked after! It also didn’t catch any sun, so we couldn’t really use it. We were also disappointed that the hotel didn’t acknowledge our honeymoon or make any gestures but that obviously didn’t affect our stay. The room itself was lovely, nice comfy bed, all the amenities - bath robe, toiletries (even mosquito spray!), dressing robe, slippers etc. We had an outdoor shower too / which we loved! Breakfast was included and had lots of choice - hot and cold options. The hotel is at the north end of the beach and was lovely and quiet, we never had issues getting a sun lounger whatever time of day and they provide beach towels. Overall a good stay with room for improvement to make it great!
