During our recent stay, we found the room to be generally well-maintained in terms of cleanliness, although the furnishings and overall condition reflected the age of the property. The staff were consistently courteous, understanding, and accommodating, which contributed positively to our experience. However, several issues detracted from the overall comfort and quality of our stay: - Security Concerns: We advise guests to keep their luggage securely locked, as we noticed items had been moved around in our room during our absence, which raised concerns about privacy and security. - Smoke Intrusion: In the final days of our visit, we experienced a persistent smell of cigarette smoke entering our room. Upon reporting this to the front desk, we were informed that the adjacent rooms were vacant, though the staff did offer to relocate us. Curiously, we observed lights turning on and off and heard toilets flushing in one of the supposedly vacant rooms, leading us to suspect that it may have been used unofficially during working hours. - Air Conditioning: The air conditioning system was ineffective throughout our stay, failing to adequately cool the room despite adjustments. - Smoking Policy: Guests with respiratory sensitivities or those seeking a non-smoking environment should be aware that smoking is prevalent across the property—including the beach, pool area, bars, and restaurant. The hotel does not appear to enforce designated smoking and non-smoking zones, nor does it clearly advertise its smoking-friendly status, which may be problematic for some travelers. - Dining Experience: The main restaurant offers a decent variety of food, though the menu can become repetitive over time. Cleanliness in the dining area was inconsistent; glassware and utensils often appeared poorly washed, and the buffet area attracted flies, which raises concerns about hygiene and food safety. - Guest Etiquette: While not directly related to hotel management, we observed a lack of basic courtesy among some guests, particularly regarding hygiene. Many individuals were visibly ill and did not take precautions such as covering their mouths when coughing or sneezing. Final Thoughts: This hotel may be suitable for guests who are comfortable with a smoking-friendly environment and can overlook some cleanliness and maintenance issues. The beachfront location, pier, and food offerings are commendable, but those with health concerns or higher expectations for hygiene and privacy may wish to consider alternative accommodations.

Great complex Clean spacious rooms. Well done housekeepers 🤗 Air con was superb Great pool. The pool is big enough for everyone you’ll never be out of sun beds but it could do with a good clean around in the evening. Most mornings the pool is very messy and untidy from the day before with cups and saucers and Tuborg cups everywhere, wine glasses and cocktail glasses*** PLEASE GET RID OF SERVING DRINKS FROM GLASSES ON and AROUND THE POOL*** and plastic bottles still in the provided little bins overflowing and for THE PARASOL!!! they all need skipping and replaced a real struggle to move them around or opening them. The beach is lovely too clear water and little fish swimming around you. The sun deck in the sea is always rammed like the beach so you’ll have no chance for a sun bed there unless you sleep there all night 😄 The food was good always something for everyone we never went hungry. The catering staff work really really hard especially the grilling/cooking staff working outside in the morning and evening in that heat. Thank you so much guys for a great job. The waiters are always kind and helpful. A big thank you goes to Ramazan from us (Richard,James,Anna & Rita . He was our waiter for 10 days. He made sure we were always well looked after and always attentive (everything was ok with us Ramazan) you did a superb job thank you. The animation on the pool is Turkish focused 3 times a week they have live Turkish music and 2 times a week they have a show at the amphitheater all animation/entertainment goes on till 11 and the pool bar closes at 12. After that there’s Turkish music playing from a pc connected to speakers from 11 till 12. Up at reception there’s a 24hr bar with a chance to order snacks for later arrivals. I believe there’s an option for going clubbing as they are reps going round during the day arranging the trip. The complex has a hairdresser, nails salon a spa which we had and was amazing and a shop all upstairs Down by the pool there’s a lovely little shop with all beach/pool items and toiletries run by a lovely couple both English speakers. There’s no cash machines at this hotel/complex. The nearest towns are both 10-15 min away Bodrum and Gumbet by taxi for 2 Turkish lira or you can get the water taxi into bodrum which is more expensive but a great experience. The boat trip round the Turkish islands is a must. We booked ours through the hotel reception (still !!! very expensive) The views are amazing around the pool and upstairs at reception. As a family of 4 we had a great stay, 10 days of total relaxation in this lovely complex where nothing was too much for them to make sure that us holidayers have a great time. Will we go back again in the future? Yes! Although we never go back to the same place more than once but as for recommending this complex yes 100% Thank you SALMAKIS SPA and RESORT you’ve been great
