Island Escape

We spent 4 days on Stocking Island at St. Francis after spending 4 days on Great Exuma. St. Francis is a wonderful getaway located on a beautiful beach overlooking the Atlantic. The rooms are basic but nice. The staff was excellent. Food at Snappy Turtle was very good for any meal. You can walk to Chat n Chill and Peace and Plenty along the shoreline and Cha-Cho will shuttle by boat to Coconut Club or Da Sanbar. It’s a great place if you want a getaway in solitude and beauty.

Excellent weekend at Saint Francis Resort - A Perfect Island Escape

I had an incredible weekend at Saint Francis Resort with my friends and family. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home—warm, attentive, and always going the extra mile. Every meal was delicious, with a variety of fresh options that impressed us all. The rooms are cozy and beautifully appointed, with stunning ocean views. The beds? Incredibly comfortable—we all slept like babies. It truly felt like a home away from home. The resort is a hidden gem—so peaceful and serene. We loved wandering the beach paths that led to little pockets of natural beauty all over the island. It’s also just a short 10-minute boat ride from Georgetown, which makes getting there super easy. This is hands down my new favourite destination. A perfect, off-the-grid escape that I can't wait to return to. Highly recommend!

Travel with kids

We travelled in early March with kids aged 3 and 6. We had a great time enjoying nature, hiking, and swimming. Tips for little kids: bring life jackets for swimming, hats with secure strings as it can be windy, and any sand toys you might want. We did some hiking barefoot, but a light sandal was more comfortable when off the beach. We enjoyed the food and our kids became accustomed to the routine which included patience and no screens :) We didn't have any bugs while we were there likely due to the nice breeze. Thanks to all the staff that made it a memorable trip! We would highly recommend it!

Amazing Adventure

My family had a great time at St. Francis Resort. The Resort is in a great location. We had a gorgeous views of crashing waves and were able to visit many beaches with calm waters. There are also plenty of trails on Stocking Island to explore. The people who work in the Resort are very friendly and always available. We also very much enjoyed the food at Snappy Turtle. Our overall experience was wonderful.

Amazing visit to St Francis resort, Stocking Island

This would rate as one of my top 5 vacations ever! If you like amazing white, powder soft beaches, kayaking and unending turquoise water, this is the place. From our room on one side we had unobstructed views of the ocean and the sunrise and to the front we had a view of palm trees and the harbor. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating...quick responses to our requests. Our rooms, while not fancy, were spacious and comfortable, had everything we needed. Our favorites at the restaurant were the calamari and the grouper and also the pina coladas and Kalik beer (served ice cold!) We visited Starfish beach twice...(a must see) where they had beach lounge chairs, amazing hot dogs and a long white sand beach...only saw 1 starfish. Both days we went there, we walked along the water edge from there to Coconut Club (about a mile) and relaxed awhile (nice restrooms, great Pina coladas). Then we took the Marie trail across the jungle dune (about 0.25 mile) to the ocean and walked back to the resort (about a mile total from coconut club) Love this place!

The resort includes 8 full service spacious ocean front Bungalows, a restaurant and bar as well as a marina and moorings. Daily jet service into George Town from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Nassau,Toronto and other Bahamian out islands. Slightly more than a mile off George Town's shore lies Stocking Island. The 4-mile-long island has only 10 inhabitants, lots of walking trails, a gorgeous white beach rich in seashells and popular with surfers on the ocean side, and plenty of good snorkeling sites.. Our all inclusive packages for families and couples are in demand.
