My husband, daughter, and I visited Saii Lagoon on the 2nd-10th February. We stayed on the All-Inclusive basis. The transfer from Male airport was straightforward. We flew with Virgin, so were met by the Virgin representative after arrivals, and taken to the transfer desk and greeted by someone from the boat transfer company who took us and our luggage to the boat. The journey to Saii Lagoon was roughly 15 minutes, so it was very convenient when travelling after a long flight, and with a 3-year-old. When we arrived, we were taken to a lounge and then travelled by buggy to the check-in reception. Dana checked us in and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. Our room wasn’t quite ready, as we arrived a bit before check-in time, so we had lunch at Mr Tom Yam (the Lobster Arancini balls were delicious). The service was great, as were the portions. There is a lot of choice. The cocktails were lovely too. Before we went to our room, we picked up some snorkels and fins at the Dive Centre, which were included in the All-Inclusive package. The snorkelling was great – we really enjoyed snorkelling near the Pool at Saii Lagoon as it was abundant in Sealife. The snorkelling by the beach at the Hard Rock Hotel was good, but we didn’t see as much Sealife – although, we did come across 3 sting ray and a small black tip reef shark! We also booked a Dolphin Cruise (book at the Dive Centre), which was at 4:30pm-6pm – I highly recommend. We were very lucky to spot and follow a pod of dolphins! Our 3-year-old daughter was in her element. We also hired canoes from the Dive Centre for an hour (included on the All Inclusive package), which was enjoyable. We stayed in room 364, a Sky room with a balcony, which overlooked a lovely stretch of beach and the lagoon. It was a convenient location as it was only 3 minutes’ walk to the Pool and pool bar at Saii; 5 minutes’ walk from Miss Olive Oyl restaurant; and about 10 minutes’ walk to the Beach club, where you will find another big pool, restaurant Terra Mar, the Gelato bar (not included in the All-Inclusive Package, but there is plenty of opportunity to have ice-cream with your lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants, at no extra cost if you are on the All Inclusive package), and Mr Tom Yam. The room itself was tastefully decorated, and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us. The sofa was a daybed, so it was made up for my daughter. Our bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in, There were plenty of amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, a sewing kit, disposable shower cap, razor, small shaving gel, and more. They also provide comfortable robes, and slippers. Housekeeping came twice a day – once during the daytime, and then around 6pm. It was nice to have a clean room again after we returned in the evening. My daughter had a few toys with her, so sometimes we would find them propped up on the bed by the pillows, which made her smile. The breakfast at Terra Mar was lovely. There were so many options to choose from, hot and cold. The waiting staff took your order for coffee (which tasted very nice!), and you could go to the egg station and order food such as eggs royale, eggs benedict, omelette, fried egg etc. My husband and daughter particularly like the crepe station! Dhilip, Natsya, and Eddy were great. Eddy always came over to say hi, and my daughter enjoyed seeing him! He also works at Miss Olive Oyl, so we saw him there too. Everyone was great, I just can’t remember all their names sadly. We had breakfast one morning at Sessions at the Hard Rock Hotel, which was very nice too. it had a nice view of the beach, lagoon, and water bungalows. The food in every single restaurant (across Saii, Hard Rock, and the Marina) was impressive. When I look for holidays, I do ensure that where we go has proper restaurant quality food, and not just serve substandard food as it is All-Inclusive, and they didn’t disappoint!!! Nicky from Jiao Wu was very sweet. Again, I wish I could shout out everyone’s name, but my memory is a bit rusty. It was so nice to have 3 pools to choose from, as it felt like we were in a different resort each time. Each pool had different depths, which was very handy for our 3 year old. Two of the pools also had ‘beds’ in the pools, so you could soak up the sun whilst laying there. We enjoyed getting a Cabana at the Hard Rock hotel. They have a QR code on the cabana, so you can order food and drink to it. Nazlaan, who worked at the Pool Bar, was super friendly and helpful! He was due to become a Dad a few weeks after we left – I wish him, his baby, and his wife well! The cocktails were lovely and were made very well! Again, some All-Inclusive resorts don’t bother making good quality drinks as they are all included. The beaches were fantastic – I have never seen whiter sand, apart from perhaps in Varadero in Cuba. The buggy service was super useful; you could order it from the app that they tell you to download when you arrive. You can also request extra amenities, book restaurants, contact concierge etc on the app. On that note – Thiassara and Pam in the concierge department were extremely helpful handling my requests. Our daughter lost her hat on the first day, so we reported it to reception who then contacted lost property. We were very fortunate in that they found it. We loved every minute of our stay and are looking to stay again in February 2026.
