Horror Trip to the 5-Star Royal Yao Yai Beach Resort

The arrival at the hotel was promising, the staff friendly, and the check-in was quick. However, we soon discovered issues in the room: a hair in the towel and a dirty mirror. The stain looked like semen. After complaining to the staff, we experienced unfriendly service during dinner and raw meat in our burgers. At the beach, we had to wait a long time for drinks because other guests, who were not from the hotel, were served first. The smell from the air conditioning in the room was unbearable, and the first night was sleepless due to the need to change the air conditioning filters. After a complaint, we received a new room, which also had problems, including no water in the shower and orange water spraying from the shower. Even after a complaint, no action was taken, and the staff insisted that everything was fine. After all these difficulties, we decided to check out and look for another accommodation. The refund for the unused nights was only partially granted, which frustrated us. Overall, the stay was anything but relaxing, and I wouldn't even give this hotel one star.

Lovely hotel!! Stayed here for one night, just a shame we didn’t stay longer! Lovely room, nice pool area, very helpful staff for checking in/out. Good selection of food for breakfast, we arrived as breakfast was being set up so avoided all queues! Would stay here again on my next visit back
