!Happy New Year!!!! this is the first time we visited your hotel, so far we have been to hotels: Mardan, Selectum and Royal, but yours is a class above all others. The service, the food, the staff, the New Year's Event, the atmosphere is brilliant!!!😉 We felt like we were in paradise. 🙂 We would only recommend more fun events in the evenings - parties.😊 We wish you to be healthy, emotionally intelligent and not to stop developing this wonderful place. Expect us again.😉

Our stay for the New Year was one of the best experiences ever! Amazing show and singers every night, great entertainment for kids ali day long! Very kind stuff in the restaurants and in the Rixy club! We love the Italian restaurant. Very spacious and luxurious hotel, well designed.The beach is fantastic. The free shuttle and entrance fot the Land of Legends is also a great bonus! We will definitely come back!

Common are u kidding me??? What a point of having godiva and u can not test them for free????? 17 This hotel doing excellent advertising but from inside is a not even 2 star hotel. 18 please send your staff to Imperial delphin hotel at antalya and learn from them, the way of serving customers. 19 i have been 17 times at delphin imperial lara, they are the best, they keep there excellent services during years.. Costumer services is 10 out of 10 Food, drink, excellent... You never hear from them NO 20 thanks for guest relation lady she was excellent , Aigerim Never ever want to come back again no more Rixos doesn't matter where and in witch country.. It was a big shame.....

So here goes! I love Rixos and finally booked what was thought to be the best ‘flagship’ hotel. Arrival - check in was not warm and welcoming (not offered a drink). We did get a nice young chap that took us to our first room (1404). We entered the room and it smelt a bit damp & of cigarettes but we opened the doors and went for something to eat. We came back & found the door wouldn’t lock, the fridge had leaked & the bathroom sink made a dripping noise. We hadn’t yet been allocated a guest relations assistant so slept as it was very late. In the morning we still hadn’t had a message or allocated a resource so I had to call reception to be told we didn’t exist. Baffled at this we were told it would be sorted. We finally then got allocated but the wrong surname has been used. We at 10.30am advised of room issues and told it would be sorted ASAP. At 6pm back nothing had been done. Room smells like a cigarette factory at this point. And at 10.30 pm and by going down to reception, we asked to move room - another hour passes and this finally happened. We were told people are smoking in rooms as the smoke detector doesn’t detect it and it travels through the air conditioning vent. This came from Irem in guest relations. Next morning - no what’s app assistant at all. After breakfast we bumped into a lady called Dianna whom asked if we had booked our place for the Xmas dinner. Obviously we knew nothing & Dianna got added to our so called group. If she hadn’t been added we would never have got any communication. Before our arrival we wrote informing of our 10 year anniversary. We were promised a la carte, fizz, cake & room decorations. We got nothing. We had to chase up early evening to be told we could visit the steak restaurant ( the message was rushed) and the restaurant knew nothing of our special day. I feel the service here really lets this hotel down. The guest relations are the worst I’ve ever come across. They are arguing and you have to ask for the manager for anything to be taken seriously. They need to spend more time actually doing their job than sitting in the loos on their phones (yes they need the phones for the job) but constantly glued to them and ignore you in person. We only ever got 1 how is your holiday going text. Also be aware that the people’s restaurant is now closed for refurbishment (not opening until Mid March) and they are putting the breakfast in a small Asian restaurant it’s too busy & food very poor. The Italian is open 12-12 with a very small menu (no restrictions). The noise from the workman goes from 9am until 8pm. The bedrooms are warm as no cold aircon in the winter, we have to have your patio doors open and the smell from the smoking & burning tiles/ welding from the builders floats in. Games room - only 2 lanes open on the bowling alley and huge waiting lists (no games in 7 days). Also half the arcade games are broken. Spa was packed and feral children running around so no peace in there. The Rixos lounge bar is run by the laziest manager ever. He stands on his phone ignoring everyone. You have to always go the bar and get your own drinks. Even when glasses are collected they don’t offer you another drink. Evening of the 28th December, 4 people in the entire bar yet he couldn’t be bothered to get off his phone to serve us) there was also 3 staff just ignoring you. His name was Ahmed. He needs sacking! Irish bar was good but again the supervisor just stands looking at you in disgust if you dare approach that bar, but the girls are really good and helpful. Rixos 24 bar didn’t have enough seats & was this insanely hot. The beer & soft drinks were never cold. However the cocktails are fabulous and Inna was fabulous. Godiva cafe - doesn’t serve half of what’s offered & far too small. LOL transfer- it goes bang on. We arrived at 12.30 for the 12.30 bus to be told it’s gone & we missed our slot. Fuming I complained and the guest relations manager did sort this out but again should not have happened. Definitely worth a visit they know good customer service here at LOL. Staff were so welcoming. Entertainment was dire- so called Xmas acts only on late, nothing in the day - where was the animation team? Boring for adults. Restaurants Asian was the worst. It was packed out because the staff were taking tips and getting parties in (we know this as a fact as a party told us that’s how they were getting in - 15 off them every night) The manager was condescending telling me sushi is raw. Food very mediocre and we wouldn’t want to rebook. The steak house we got in twice as an apology for forgetting our anniversary. Both times service was fabulous but the steak & lamb undercooked and not seasoned. Not a five star experience. The Italian was good but because everyone could go it served a very small limited menu. It did however do better than the other restaurants. The main buffet was exceptional. It was our saving grace, fabulous staff and delicious food. The best by far. Our lovely waiter Ridvan was a star. Can’t really say we went hungry or thirsty. The Starbucks was impeccable the lovely chap knew my daily order. No LOL restaurant was allowed in the winter concept (again if you cross palms with money this may change) Also no Rixos bag given as again they don’t give these out in winter. As I write though I’m in bed with food poisoning. The hotel has made me fill in a form and currently awaiting a blood sample which I will also obtain from my own doctor at home. I asked for a doctor at 1pm as flying home after yet another battle I finally got seen 45 mins before I was due to leave - given a prescription that would take a couple of hours! Had the guest relations not tried to cover their backs I could have been better. It’s currently full of feral children, even though the hotel provides a great Rixy club, kids as young as toddlers are just running around (no parents). Our room cleaner in 1308 was really good, we really missed her on her day off. One of the best staff here. In closing some food / drink done very well, pour customer service & noise everywhere (the construction site is worse) It’s been very bait and switch and even with the promise of an upgrade to a suite & free airport transfers next time I certainly wouldn’t be accepting. This trip kind of ruined our Christmas & Anniversary but lucky we have got our favourite hotel Rixos Sharm booked in 2 weeks so sanctuary will be restored. It’s really not worth the hype & definitely won’t be recommending or coming back anytime soon. Rixos do fantastic hotels in Egypt & if higher management sees this review please take note. A lot could be learned to improve this hotel.

While this hotel may be exceptional during the summer period, our off season family break was definitley sub-par and not at all what we expected based on reviews. The biggest dissapointment comes from what we percieved as false advertising of the children program. In their "winter concept" brohure, there are amazing pictures of all of their kids club activties and amenties, but, once we arrived there we were told that the actual kids club (that has all the indoor soft play stuff and bunch of toys) is closed in the winter and what they have instead are three rooms in the main building for children of all ages. Only one of the rooms has any actual toys and they were half broken and suitable for babies up to 12 months. The other room was completely empty and one was just for coloring. The hotel should not use pictures of things not offered year round in marketing and also, seriosly invest in re-doing your "winter kids club" majority of your hotel guests have kids. Pros: - Deluxe family room was great, spaceous and always clean and stocked up - Close to the beach and overall well mentained property - With the right bartender, cocktails were amazing - Heated outdoor pool was great - Service in the Aksam a la carte was amazing Cons: - The moment it rains, evrything outdoor was shut down for the day (even if it stopped), meaning, no bar, drinks, pools etc. - Hotel maintenance with bunch of sound that was not shown on the website with booking (booked via main accor site) - If you have toddlers (age 3-4), don't expect much from the kids club in winter (no soft indoor play, no acitvities besides coloring/ crafts) - Arcade/game room has about 30% of machines working - Service was a hit or a miss. 50% of the times we had lunch or dinner in the main restairant we had to wait too long for beverages or never got them - Food was mediocre (e.g., copared to the barut collection hotels) and severly reperitive in the main restaurant. A la carte was better but still, if you know food, not good (e.g., in the asian a la carte, the stir fry noodles were returned by 2 guests in the same evening we had dinner)
