We recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall pleasant experience, but it wasn't without its drawbacks, leading us to rate it 3.5 stars instead of 4. Starting with the positives, the staff, especially those in catering and drink service, were exceptional—always helpful and serving with a smile. Our room was clean, with fresh towels provided daily by the friendly housekeeping staff. The large balcony overlooking the sea was a highlight, offering stunning views, especially at night. However, there were several areas where the hotel fell short. The food was a major disappointment. As a vegetarian, I found the options extremely limited, often resorting to a plate of chips, salad, bread, and some fruit. Additionally, the food lacked labels indicating dietary requirements, which could be a concern for those with allergies or specific dietary needs. Due to this, we ended up eating out a few times. The WiFi was another issue, as it was mostly non-functional outside the lobby, and even then, it was hit or miss. Our first room was unbearably hot due to a lack of air conditioning, and it took multiple requests before we were finally moved to a different room. Unfortunately, this new room had its own problem—a persistent bathroom leak that flooded the floor daily, which was reported but never resolved. One small but important tip: be sure to find and place a "Do Not Disturb" sign outside your door if you want to sleep in, as housekeeping tends to start cleaning around 9 AM and might come in while you're still sleeping. On a positive note, the hotel's location is fantastic. Gumbet offers great shopping and dining options, and Bodrum is just a 15-minute bus ride away for a very reasonable £1 per While the hotel has its charms, particularly the friendly staff and beautiful views, there are some critical areas that need improvement, especially concerning the food, WiFi, and room maintenance.
