Rhodes Bay Hotel

We arrived on my birthday around midnight, nobody at reception mentioned anything about my birthday. It would have been nice to be introduced to the app by the check in staff member and a bus timetable would be very helpful in the reception area. There was no further bottled water supply to the room, only one bottle on arrival. There was a minibar fridge in the room which was empty. The overall cleanliness was about a 7/10 for the communal areas and rooms. The hotel requires maintenance, with hot and dirty lifts. The hotel and the hotel’s extremely basic beach are placed straight by the very noisy busy traffic road. The town is basically a strip of very average restaurants which face onto afore mentioned busy main road. The pool area looked a little shabby, we would expect waiter service which there was not. There was one rather tatty toilet which is not adequate for a pool area that size. The pool area was with very basic sun beds which are close together and grass that needs cutting. Sometimes the bar service by the pool area was a bit slow. To get a beach towel is about a ten minute journey from the room to the spa area. The SPA staff were approaching people in and out the breakfast hall which is very off putting. The SPA offers and prices were not consistent and seemed to be plucked out the sky as prices were not in the SPA brochure. We really wanted to do massages but we changed our mind due to those factors. The SPA facilities were extremely basic. The hotel has a private beach which is very basic but does provide sun beds and parasols. Some sunbeds have visible tears and have been well used. The beach requires swim shoes as stones are impossible to walk on. Litter is an issue on the beach and sometimes in the sea. We were disappointed with lack of entertainment for adults in the evening. We travel regularly and fail to see how this hotel in any way meets the criteria for a 5 star.

Sofia and Asselor made us feel very comfortable, Sofia gave me a full body massage and it was amazing, definitely recommend, the room was very calming and intimate which made me and my partner feel very special, discounted price and free spa day for the full day

The atmosphere and ambience at the spa are amazing. Great spa section at this hotel. I had an amazing full body massage from a masseuse named Aggelos. Worth every penny in my opinion and would definitely do it again. Staff were professional and friendly, felt very comfortable throughout the experience.

We stayed at Ixia Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa for five nights. We were very happy with the whole experience. The location is great, only few kilometers from Rhodes city and medieval town. You can get there by bus right in front of the hotel or take a cap for about 12 e. There are many restaurants nearby the hotel and also stores. There is also a store in the hotel, where it is easy to get some supplies from the early morning to late at night. The pool area was cozy and at the bar they serve refresing drinks but also snacks from salads to pizzas. Especially the chicken salad is great! The pool area had plenty of room during our stay in October and there were always enough sun loungers available. There is also a easy way to get to the beach by a tunnel, so that you don't need to cross a street. There are own sun loungers at beach for the guests of the hotel and during our visit there were always seats available. The breakfast was varied. Every morning there was something new to try. The staff was friendly. All in all, it was a great stay at Rhodes Bay Hotel!

Very good hotel for staying at with family, however could be improved by a little bit. Me and my family stayed in a sea view room for three people. The beds were very comfortable but due to the green and red flashing lights above the doorway it made it hard to get to sleep. In the room they only supplied us with two dressing gowns, two mugs, and two slippers, however there were three of us. The facilities were a nice complement to our stay, including a variety of different pools, a swim up bar, a gym and a spa. The meals were great however when you get guided to your table the staff don’t ask you straight away what you would like to drink. If you don’t like eating in the cold bad luck because most of the places to sit and eat get a mild breeze coming from outside. Me and my mum got a massage which was really nice! All together I would definitely recommend going to Rhodes bay hotel and spa!
