Pros -The staff. They are absolutely amazing,I have never experienced that level of customer service anywhere I have bewn ro before. From the moment you arrive from the moment you leave they can do absolutely nothing more to make you feel so welcome. The girls on reception, the bar staff, the waiters in the restaurant and cleaners are all absolute stars. They even rang us up a few times in our room to see if we needed/wanted anything when it was raining and we where just chilling watching a film. They recommend places to visit, make an effort to chat to you while serving drinks, remember you're order etc. The rooms are lovely, had a problem with our main light flashing when we got there but it was so late to report when we got there, got fixed straight away in morning no worrys.the wirl pool bath is lush, just dont turn it on until its completely full or you'll have water all over the place.I went with my mum and no twins, obviously being a mainly couples place but emailed ahead and they made up the guest sofa for me.in the end shared the bed together as it was absolutely massive. The breakfasts where amazing tried the Greek scrambled egg which was out of this world. Struggled getting an english brew, with milk, but thats to be expected? Especiallyin greece/turkey. It was nice to be able to take food out of brekfast room for snacks later on like fruit etc,ro have by pool or on beach....rare in some hotels. We where planning on going out for evening food but as it was so early in season our main option was hotel. There is literally nothing for miles so had no option but to eat at hotel a couple of nights... This is where we struggled. I am a vegetarian and I found it really difficult. There was nothing on main menu I could eat and no vegetarian menu at all, which I found odd in modern hotels. Spoke to restaurant manager and he said they could make me something from lunch menu? Which was good but felt really awkward that I had no other option and weird that they had no vegetarian/vegan menu, ive never struggled wirh this before on rest of Greece. The food in evening in general wasnt very greek at all, which is one of the reasons we came to corfu for the amazing greek food we love. Unfortunately We felt the restaurant was trying to be an upmarket gastro type of place, which we personally didn't want and thought didn't fit in with the vibe of the chilled greek resort. It was the kind of food You'd pay a premium for from a London restaurant, which is all well and good.but not when you go for a holiday in Greece to experience greek culture and eat the local offerings. I orderd a greek salad and absolutely love feta, to my dismay it came with whiped feta cheese, which just wasnt the same.we did venture out one night to the local fishing village via taxi, it was beautiful and had lovley traditional restaurants, so well worth a vist. The taxi man even came back for us a few hours later to take us back to hotel. We had a massage in spa on one rainy day, a bit pricey but one of the best massages ive had. The private beach was lovely, you get a little call button on your sunbed for if you need anything from hotel bringing over. I do think it could have benifited from some type of wicker/wooden screen as its so close to the road and would make it have a more private/luxury feel. Netflix in the room is a fab idea, not much to do in the evening and it was rubbish weather so we enjoyed getting a few cans of beer and chocolate from local shop and watchimg a film before bed, so easy to set up. The library of books is really good so u can swap and choose from lots of different reads. Snowy is the local hotel cute cat,he is very demanding 🥰 Cons- main disappointment was evening meals to be honest, would have loved traditional or even greek food of some sort.no entertainment at all, even a singer or guitar player would have added to the experience but perhaps it was too early in season. Transfer was ridiculously long over 2hrs, but suppose worth it for such a secluded spot.could have done with hand rails on wirl pool bath, my mother in her late 60s struggled to get in and out.a canopy would have been good on the balcony, when it rains u cant sit out and read etc so trapped in your room. There where a group of teenage boys smoking weed and playing football really near to rooms which we found off putting in a relaxing hotel, but no one seemed to do anything about it. Over all i would definitely recommend for a chilled break away if you can deal with the long transfer. Would recommend hiring a car for exploring
