We are at the resort at the moment and it’s gorgeous in every respect. I booked through Secret Escapes and had some issues with them which they’ve tried to rectify. The hotel is relaxing, modern, and the staff are truly amazing - I cannot stress how welcoming and helpful they are. Our villa was top notch as included a plunge pool which was very lovely in the evenings. The room has toiletries, hairdryer, hair straighteners, slippers and bathrobes so leave all that at home! ( Minibar is chargeable) We were on breakfast and dinner which was manageable for our 5 nights as the menu stays the same, great food though. This did not bother me but could irritate others - hotel is on the flight path to a degree and some guests were up to put towels on sun loungers although the hotel doesn’t welcome it. We saw it everyday and there’s ample loungers which are big and comfy! I will also say the walk from Fira to Oia is great for the views of the Caldera but it’s pretty long and hard going and I’m quite fit… go early as Oia gets mega busy by lunchtime. I will also say that if you are looking to see a whole array of blue domed buildings there will be some disappointed as there’s 4 at best. The views are spectacular though and you cannot come to Santorini and not see them. Hire a car, we did and managed to see the whole island including the famous sunset - I won’t forget that in a hurry. I’m glad we stayed in Kamari, Zaffron resort especially, a perfect retreat for a surprise trip - my husband was impressed beyond words! Santorini you’ve got my heart. ❤️
