Ok let’s start with the positives. This hotel is in the heart of the old town and as such an excellent location for anyone wishing to explore the city. The pool was fine and breakfast good with a nice selection catering for many tastes. However, unfortunately our experience of this hotel was completely ruined by a large group of very noisy guests and the lack for care from the hotel staff about the situation. We arrived at about 11:30pm on Saturday night. When being shown to our rooms we noticed a large group (approx 20) of young adults in and around the pools area playing really loud music and making a lot of noise. We immediately realised this was going to be a problem when we were shown to the room, situated right next to the pool and seating area where the group where sat. The room was not soundproofed and the noise from inside the room was unbearable. I went to reception to ask for another room and was told non available but may be able to move rooms in the morning. They seemed shocked about the noise and said it would be sorted. When we returned for a short wander around the town about 1pm the group were still there. Again I complained and nothing was done. The noise went on until around 3/3:30 this first night and we got NO sleep!! I spoke to day staff first thing the next morning and was assured it would be rectified, i again asked for another room and was told the hotel was fully booked till later in the week. The second night the same group were sat in the seating area next to our room again when we returned from dinner at about 12pm. I politely asked them to move as they were sat right next to our bedroom (pictured) They refused to move but assured me they would be quiet, they were not! Again this went on till 3am and NO sleep . After complaining again to the hotel staff nothing seemed to be done about it as on the third night we were awakened by the same group drinking and smoking a shisha pipe. The noise was unbearable and I again went to reception to complain. I was meet with the receptionist who told me there was no noise ! I was very upset about the situation and he treated me with utter contempt. I started filming and he called security. Was made to feel I was the problem. Anyway after that we resigned ourselves to the fact the hotel would do nothing about it and tried the best we could to enjoy the rest of our holiday disputes the fact that every night was the same pattern of events. On the last day we were sat by the pool and the manager asked us if the pipe tucked away in the corner was ours. We said no it belongs to the group. I took the opportunity to again relay my distress and the situation and the way staff had treated us to her. She seemed surprised then when I told her I’d complained a number of times she said she’d tried to find us the day before to offer us another room. She offered us a free meal in their restaurant but we didn’t take them up on this as we did not want our last night ruined by any more interaction with this hotel and staff. All in all, this was probably one of the worst experiences in a hotel I’ve ever had and if you like to sleep I would NOT recommend staying here! Note to Puding Hotel staff , please do not bother replying to this review. You didn’t address our concerns while we were staying at your hotel so please don’t insult us by pretending you care now!
