Porto Bello Beach

We had the most fantastic all inclusive holiday at Porto Bello Beach. Nothing was ever too much for the staff, particularly the restaurant staff. We had a limited sea view room with balcony, it was lovely and clean and close enough to everything, but far enough away too - couldn’t get better for us! The food options every night were varied and delicious, we never ventured anywhere else! The after park, beach and resort were clean and well maintained. Staff were cleaning the pools every morning and night after use. Our 8 year old son had a fab time snorkelling in the pool and then the sea, where he found lots of fish! Always fresh bottles of water in the rooms daily, the bar staff were always quick to serve and friendly. Beach bar staff were great, lovely ice creams. Overall, one of the best holidays we have had as a family - so much so we have rebooked for later this summer 😃

Went to Porto bello Beach with 5 friends. Overall hotel very good! Easy to get sun loungers, pool cold but very refreshing. Good drinks options on all inclusive package and you can pay extra for more premium cocktails (this is not necessary), Food in main buffet style restaurant offers good selection however, is quite repetitive after a week of being there. Offer a Gluten free pizza however you do have to pre-order at reception. Italian restaurant was lovely and felt more special! Beach bar offers snacks and ice-cream which is perfect. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. Short walk from Kardemena. Staff overall helpful and polite however entertainment team can be slightly pushy!

We had a really fantastic holiday at the Porto Bello. Firstly we had the most amazing room with a swim up pool. This room was an upgrade & would like to say thank you to the staff for this. We really appreciated it & loved every minute of the space outside. The room was lovely with food in the fridge for our late arrival. We went with our Daughter Son in law & 11 year old Grandson. They really loved the water park & I loved being there to take pictures. The Beach was lovely too & always got a sun bed & at the pool. The food was fantastic with many choices. We ate at all the restaurants & the food was excellent. My only complaint was the wine was not on all inclusive in the Italian you had to pay for it. You could have beer & soft drinks. Not come across this before. Also no pizza as our Grandson was hoping for. The drinks were good with a verity of cocktails at the bars.. The staff were friendly & helpful. There was not tea & coffee facilities in the room & you had to pay for the safe. This was our first time in Kos & will defiantly be back to this hotel. Thank you again for the room upgrade.

Overall this hotel is excellent for a 4 star. We had a lovely holiday, thank you TUI 👍 Things done well * Food quality was amazing for a buffet all you can eat * Staff everywhere very pleasant and helpful * Room cleaning do an excellent job every day * Rooms are spacious and quiet * Location from the airport is close and the hotel is right on the beach * Aquatica splash park is amazing * Kids love the night time entertainment Things to be improved / suggestions * No gym or exercise facility * Not many day time pool activities * No toddler club facility and kids club facility is basic and could use an upgrade * Pools could use heating when it’s not quite hot enough towards end of summer season But again it’s a great hotel and recommended for a family break

First night we arrived we were put in a room number 138. This is in front of the main entrance. That evening was the worst night sleep we've ever had. With a 1 and 4 year old up crying til 4.30am. This room was located near the evening entertainment amphitheatre. Once the entertainment was over all the people walk past the room talking loud. Not to mention all the coaches coming in and worst of all planes landing at the airport. These planes literally are on the direct path and fly above the hotel at 200m. I new it wasn't far from airport but certainly don't come here if you don't want to be kept awake by very loud planes. We spoke with the TUI the next day and asked to be moved. I had to give just 3 suggestions for hotels and they'd check availability and potential costs. Only one came back with availability at an extra cost of £1500 for t nights. Obviously this was not accepted as we'd already spent £2200. We requested a room change and the room was alot better with noise. It was also newer like the one we were expected to have unlike the outdated one we were originally put in. There's no tea or coffee facilities In your room either. We were told you have to request these! Not even a chair by the mirror where my wife can sit down and do her makeup of an evening. Access for people with wheelchairs and push chairs avoid this hotels. There is no toilet in the reception/ lobby area which I've never seen before. So when your in the main restaurant and you need the toilet you have to go downstairs to the pool side toilets. To get there youd need to exit the hotel entrance and walk all the way round and down the side of the building. There is NO RAMP OR LIFT from the reception/ restaurant area. there is no changing facility in the men's toilet but only in the ladies. Only half the doors in the mens cubicles lock because they have been forced open. A child had an accident in the paddling pool and it was reported there was a poo on the side of the pool where the drains are. Eventually someone slowly came with a empty bucket and a brush. He just washed the poo into the drains with the pool water and walked off. No scrubbing or no closing of the pool to clean the pool properly. If you do go for a swim you need goggles. There is a ridiculous amount of salt in the pool. Stings your eyes immediately and not to mention getting it in your mouth! The only staff who were actually friendly were the restaurant staff, bell boys and the cleaners would say hello. Other than that the rest were just rude. The manager of the hotel shouldn't be in this position. He was rude, arrogant and aggressive. He also said the customer isn't always right, wasn't sympathetic to the issues we'd experienced. We also Never saw the TUI rep with a smile on her face! I certainly won't be going with TUl again! Overall a very disappointing holiday. This is no way a 4 star hotel! I cannot believe the reviews this place gets considering the amount of people who were saying they were not happy!
