We stayed at Petit Palace from October 25th through October 28th. If you are planning a trip to Santorini you should stay here. If you are going to Greece but not planning on visiting Santorini, then change your plans and book your room in Petit Palace. You will not be disappointed, and your stay here will be the highlight of your trip! The airport shuttle, (arranged by Petit Palace), to and from the hotel was seamless. The staff was waiting for us with a welcome drink when we arrived, and they packed us a continental breakfast for our early flight when we left. The hotel staff handled all of our luggage from the moment we stepped off of the airport shuttle until we had to get back on to leave. The hotel location is perfect. It is right outside of Fira so you don't have the congestion and crowds of Fira and Oia. The hotel provides a free and convenient shuttle for the ten-minute ride to and from Fira. The hotel itself is built into the side of a cliff but there is an elevator, so you don't have to climb too many stairs. The views of the caldera from the hotel are unparallel and you don't have to fight the masses of tourists that you encounter in Oia and Fira to take a picture. The pool area is tranquil and pristine with plush towels and large comfortable loungers with umbrellas. There was a fruit basket and a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room when we arrived. Our room was huge, and housekeeping kept it immaculate. We chose the room with the private jacuzzi in a cave. Again, the views were amazing, and it was great way to watch the sunset while sitting in our hot tub and enjoying a glass of wine. The bathroom was bigger than most hotel rooms and it also had a large jacuzzi tub. The bed was super comfortable. The food at the restaurant was very good but breakfast was truly outstanding. Not only was the food delicious but you could order whatever you wanted. The service at breakfast and dinner was very good. The hotel staff were exceptional from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. They were extremely friendly, attentive and eager to assist us with any request from answering questions, handling luggage, making dinner reservations, printing boarding passes or arranging transportation. The hotel manager Kostas checked on us every day to see if there was anything he could do to improve our stay and make our visit more enjoyable. We spent nineteen days in Greece and our stay at Petit Palace was the highlight of our trip. This place is truly amazing and one that we will treasure and remember forever!
