Palafitos Overwater Bungalow, By Karisma

We had so much fun visiting! We loved all of the activities ran by the entertainment staff Osvaldo, Jerik, Marco, Chris, Kevin, and Alex. We were never bored because of them. The beach volleyball and water aerobics were well run, and fun to join. Also Miguel was so helpful on the beach too, we never had to set up umbrellas for our chairs.

Everything from airport pick up to leaving was very professional, comfortable and welcoming. Food was exceptionally delicious. Service friendly and accommodating. Our bell hop Alberto and butlers Fernando, Yasser, and William were excellent. They went out of their way to be kind, funny and made this the best honeymoon experience we could have asked for.

Over water bungalows were amazing during high tide, low tide was not as impressive but the room and service was amazing! Food was amazing! Pillar and Alberto took great care of us. Pools are small but well maintained and more than enough room. No community pool arou d bungalows so if you wanted a drink you need to call room service or take the walk

This was our first time at Palafitos in the Overwater Bungalows and it was phenomenal. This was a special trip celebrating overcoming a medical situation; and the splurge of staying here was the most healing, rewarding experience. Alberto was quick to learn our names and make sure that we were well taken care of. Our Butlers, Aimee, Daniel And Yasser were so good at making us feel pampered. The room had everything we needed. If we did need something we could text for help and it was fast to get to us. The bed was cozy and comfortable; honestly the best I’ve slept in the 16 times we have visited Riviera Maya. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off from the ocean but the interior rain shower was therapeutic. We ate most of our meals on our deck with several dinners at the Overwater Grill. Every entree was fantastic. We used the App to text our butler our breakfast request the night before. It would arrive to our deck right upon our return from a morning beach walk. The property is extremely well maintained and the workers are doing a great job of keeping it perfect. They work hard everyday to keep the Sargasso Seaweed cleaned up. The spa looked wonderful but my condition didn’t allow me to participate in any treatment. We did enjoy a beach picnic which is offered in your Bungalow stay and my husband used the Jet Ski. The idea of these features being included is a major reason this trip felt so top level. The vibe at this resort overall is quieter than other resorts we have stayed at. They did have activities during the day and you could follow the calendar on your app.

Palafitos is absolutely amazing. My wife and i are from Minnesota and have had some personal challenges the ladt frw months. I cannot think of a better place for a little relaxation. The staff was fantastic including Alberto, Daniel, and Aimee. They really made the trip special and we're there any time we needed something. The bungalows are just spectacular and it was so fun being right on the water. Fun to see the fish swim through the floor occasionally. I'm a huge fan of the beach and it was awesome. It's very shallow for a couple of hundred yards out and I did a water walk every day. Just pure sand and could go barefoot. Unfortunately the seaweed was washing up but the resort had many workers each day doing beach cleanup. The beach is like powdered sugar so soft and easy to walk. There was great entertainment each night and we loved the fantastic food. Our favorite was just going to the Plalafitos restaurant. Overall yes it was expensive. But you definitely get your money's worth. We can't wait to go back again someday. Gracias Palafitos!
