Overall the location of the hotel is superb, the views are phenomenal and the local town which is a 20 minute walk away (Down a sweeping steep mountain road from the street to the hotel reception) is packed with Shops, Bars and Restaurants. However, the hotel was a major let down for something that boasts a 4 Star rating. Some positives stood out during my stay such as comfy clean Beds, clean Towels, and the friendly Female receptionist who gladly let us keep our room for an additional 2 hours whilst we waited for our airport transfer. On to the negatives... THE ROOM: We arrived at the Hotel just after midnight, as we approached our room, food waste was scattered on the tables on the landing. When we entered the room, an off putting smell was present, almost like urine. I then went to the toilet which had a severely stained seat and lid...plus a dirty toilet bowl which I assume was a build up of limescale, plus mould behind the toilet itself (In pictures below). The toilet then decided to stop flushing on our 5th night which didn't get seen until our final night after chasing this up, we didn't receive an apology at all! My bedside table had a number of cigarette burns on the top, which was hidden by a lamp followed by a plug socket hanging out of the wall with exposed wiring. I then went to the mini fridge which wasn't turned on, and was extremely filthy inside, with what I think was mould and previous spillages. The balcony was tiny, not big enough for one person let alone 2, the balcony also featured a birds nest on the light, and 2 chairs that clearly didn't fit. Our shower ran hot for most of our stay, and it was cold for the remainder. There were also holes in the walls and peeling wall paper. STAFF, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT: Majority of the staff are miserable here and come across as very unapproachable. One barmaid in particular (Russian woman with black hair in the bar) was extremely rude and a horrid woman to deal with, and her face definitely let you know! She was more bothered about smoking and watching shows on her phone whilst pretending to not to notice you! She will slam drinks down onto the bar, and give you a dirty look! The guys at the panorama bar aren't a delight either, they play their own music and ignore you too...until you pull some money out of your wallet. in terms of Entertainment, that is non existent...unless you like watching moody Russian women with a face like a slapped backside smoke and pretend to ignore you. The pool is freezing, so nobody dares to step foot in it so we spent time on the private beach...which again had broken sun loungers and broken parasols which had collapsed in on themselves. The 'Beach Bar' is a wooden shack that only does Cola, Beer or water. In addition to the drinks, the hotel selection of drinks are dismal, with spirits that don't taste good at all and coffee machines that have not been cleaned in a long time and have overflowing drip trays. The food is also dreadful with nothing labelled at Breakfast and consists mainly of Eggs, lunch and dinner is edible but definitely not worth it. Go into town and eat at Street 61 or the Joker. I lived off bread and water for the first couple of mornings contemplating going back home. Tables and chairs are broken and in need of replacing, I've lost count how many chairs have collapsed in my hands as I've moved them. light fixtures are also coming away from walls and ceilings too. Sun loungers around the pool are either rusted or cracked and the arms fall off, as for the tiles around the pool...Death Trap! Broken shards of tiles are dotted around the pool. THE GENERAL BUILDING: Most of the roof is missing from the building, and areas seem very grubby especially behind the bar area, I dread to think what the kitchens like! During windy periods the aircon system starts to make a whirling noise which wakes you up. The automatic lighting system in the corridors do not work so it's pitch black whilst you're trying to find your room. The floors could do with a really good clean too! The reception and communal areas of the hotel look very nice however don't let this fool you, the place is a dive and would not even meet 2 star standards. The WiFi connection is also non existent, with the best signal been on the biohazard toilet in our room. Turkey is such a lovely country bursting with culture and friendly locals and this place let's it down! Spend the money, and book into a decent 5 star hotel within the Sarigarme area. We booked through Sunshine holidays as a last minute cheap get away... Next time we will be going through a trusted tour operator such as TUI or Jet2! Please don't waste your money here and trust the 1 & 2 star reviews.
