Amazing place

We stayed at the hotel in mid-July 2024 and had a very positive experience. The place was amazing, and the view of the sea was simply breathtaking. The absence of large waves in the bay made swimming in the sea safe for our child, which was a great relief. The staff were incredibly friendly everywhere we went. I would especially like to thank the girls (Beyza and Lamia) at the Blue Bar for their delicious cocktails and warm smiles, and a big thank you to the photographer Furkan for the beautiful photos that will be a great memory of our trip. As for small minuses, it was disappointing to hear the word "thank you" in all languages at the children's disco, except in Ukrainian. Considering the ongoing war, it would be appropriate to either remove the Russian "spasiba" or add the Ukrainian "dyakuyu". Unfortunately, the head of animation ignored my request on this matter. I would suggest turning the music by the pool down a bit, as the hotel has many families, and it seemed not everyone enjoyed the loud volume.

Birthday Holiday stay at Orka Lotus Beach Hotel

We had an absolutely amazing time at Orka Lotus . We came her to celebrate my partners birthday . When we arrived we were very impressed with the building and the cleanliness of the foyer. Location: We booked the sea view room which was amazing and had a fantastic view of the sea and mountain . Sleep Quality - The bed was hard and not comfortable . We had to go to the reception to complain and they came and put a top up mattress . It didn't do the trick but there was nothing else we can do but just suffer . Rooms: Our room was big and spacious which was lovely . Cleanliness: Cleaner made sure the room was cleaned and spotless on a daily basis, they were very friendly . Service: We seemed to be ignored a lot couldn't give any names of any staff who was exceptional . We made an error on our check out date and explained to the Manager the situation . He wasn't understanding or compassionate and just quoted how much the fee would be for checking out late . He was more concerned about charging us then resolving the matter . I felt the Manager could brush up on his customer and people skills and be more understanding and professional . He didn't wear a name badge so cant give a name.. This was a big let down to the hotel staff . I was impressed . Food: The buffet restaurant at Orka Lotus Beach offers Turkish and international dishes. We found it very nice and delicious . They also have a Italian and Chinese restaurant which you can experience at the hotel. Spa: We tried the couple deluxe massage package costing £160 . It was a lovely experience lasting up to an hour .

If rest and relaxation are what you are looking for then forget it! If constant noise, bustling meal times with bright white lights then look no further this is for you. The good stuff The sea and views are beautiful, the waiters are polite, helpful and friendly,, the room is spacious and beds are comfy. Blue terrace bar was nice and we enjoyed this overlooking the bay with a cocktail Entertainment was enjoyable Food was ok, bit like home cooking with lots of salad choices The not so good stuff The rooms (Unless sea view) are concrete rows with an acoustic corridor in between, so every noise is audible especially the squeaking trolleys going up and down early morning (No need to set the alarm) Starting a day this way is frustrating The restaurant area has the equivalent of street lighting, so bright makes your eyes hurt. The same area is like paddington station with trains of people and clattering plates and cutlery and the drone of trolleys collecting empty plates is constant due to the mass of people There are no nooks or quiet places, it just seems to pack in as many people as possible. Lots of stairs and not suitable for everyone. There are lifts but always full with a queue. No attention to detail, shabby broken bits of stairs and flooring, plants in the dining area just dead stalks through lack of watering. I am still here and cannot wait to leave to give my head a rest, what a waste of £2k PS if you have small children then you may like this because they can all run around and make noise and enjoy themselves, I did not see one unhappy child which makes it a dream holiday for the parents, bring the kiddie scooter too because you can allow them to zoom around the restaurant area while you enjoy dinner.

Beautiful hotel with a great team

Had a lovely 11 night stay at the Orka Lotus. The location of the hotel is amazing, set on a beautiful bay overlooking mountains opposite, and situated close to Icmeler and Marmaris. The hotel was clean and the staff were attentive and helpful. A big mention to Bilal who looked after us at every meal to organise Gluten Free options for the coeliac in our party, Bilal couldn't do enough for us and made our stay amazing. His team were also great, Ural and Bulent in particular always took care of us during meal times. Food and drinks were great, cocktails very strong, and ate at the Italian and Turkish restaurant which were a nice change. There's loads to do round the hotel, the pools are lovely and waterpark with slides is amazing, the lifeguards there make sure everyone is having a great time! The sea and beach are also great, loads of space on the beach and plentiful sunbeds so you could always get a sunbed at any time. Plenty of fish round the jetty for snorkelling and the sea is calm and warm so lovely to just bob and relax. Close access to Icmeler and Marmaris so a 20 min walk or five min taxi ride if you want to get off site for a bit of shopping or nightlife. Overall thought the hotel was great, a fabulous beautiful location, with attentive and caring staff, had a wonderful break and would definitely return.

A couple of minus points, but still a great hotel. Staffing, 1st rate, everyone is so friendly and helpful, from the people on the bar, to the staff in the restaurants and the concierge staff, just 5* plus,,,, as a side note, we had a birthday during our stay, the concierge helped me to decorate a cabana,,, same birthday, cleaning staff added some sparkle to our room, as for the staff at the cabana, wow, really amazing. OK, room, always clean, very comfortable, the air con wasnt great, one of the blowers wasnt working, but still the room was a welcome relief when it was too hot. Location, this is not in the town centre, so you always need some form of transport if you want to go out, for us, this was perfect as we didnt want to be in a crowded area and it was less than £5 per journey Food, every meal there was something you wanted, we didnt leave the hotel once for a restaurant, something we have never done,,,, a couple of minor improvements, such as having something other than yoghurt or oil for salad dressing,,, some sugar free items on the desert table A criticism now, we both like coffee, the coffee on offer was ok, but a speciality cafe serving up fresh made cappuccinos ect really would have been welcome. Another criticism, when making cocktails, crushed ice would have been a bonus, especially on drinks such as Pina Colada ect, huge lumps of ice dont cut it with that drink. Anyway, would we come back? 110%, the perfect hotel, perfect staff P.S, one last comment, Azur Bags, its part of the hotel at beach level, the quality of the bags there was possibly the best in the area
