The only hotel I have visited twice! And would go again!

Had a great time both stays at the Orka Lotus. The hotel is amazing, with great views! The staff are great, many recognised us from our previous visit and were always on hand to get whatever we needed. Rooms are nice, comfortable and reasonably priced. Plenty of options for food, even for a fussy eater. Loved the chicken donner at the tapas snack bar! Cleaners were lovely, even though our son liked to stay in bed all morning they often came back later and did it, even made him out of towels led on his bed one day, which gave us a laugh. Last year the weather was amazing for all 7 days (7th - 14th April), we stayed for 11 nights this time up to the 11th April, but unfortunately the weather was a let down for a lot of it. Blues bar on the roof was lovely last year but was closed alot due to the rain. Still had plenty of warm weather and sunshine in between, had plenty of walks along the coast to either Icmeler (about 15mins) or Marmaris (about 30mins) in the afternoons. Was great at the beach last year but a little too windy when it wasnt raining this time. Still managed to have a few at the beach bar on the nicer days though. Pool / Billiards tables wernt great, not level and most of the cues had no tips on them, guess thats my biggest complaint. Entertainment also wasn't our cup of tea, I think the weather had alot to do with it along with the season not fully starting. Anumation team were on about a fire show and beach party but the rain put a stop to it. The best nights entertainment by far was when they had the live singer in the lobby bar, we would of loved a few more nights like that. Overall though this is an amazing hotel, especially for the price. We met some great people from staff to other guests. Hopefully going to try in one of the hotter months next time, once the season has fully started I think it would be even better.

Very Disappointing – Would Not Return

I’m not one to usually leave negative reviews, but our recent stay was incredibly disappointing and I feel compelled to share our experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel did not live up to the expectations set by Jet2 Holidays. Our room overlooked a delivery area that felt more like a storage yard, with food often left out for days on an old cupboard – not exactly the view you hope for on a holiday. Just outside our room, the floor below seemed like a service area and it all felt very unhygienic. The only heated pool on the property had around 50 sunbeds, which is completely inadequate for a hotel of this size. It was impossible to find space to relax. Wi-Fi was slow and constantly dropping out, and the TV didn’t have a single English-language channel – not great when travelling with kids. The restaurant was overwhelmed and disorganised. One evening we waited over 30 minutes to be seated, only to watch a staff member seat other guests who had just arrived before us. When I questioned him politely, he was rude and dismissive. We were eventually offered a complimentary meal at the on-site Chinese restaurant, which sadly turned out to be a poor attempt at Chinese cuisine – sweet and sour was the only recognisable dish, and bizarrely, duck was served with fajitas instead of pancakes, with no hoisin or plum sauce. Entertainment was limited and underwhelming. Aside from a decent singer in the lobby and by the pool, there wasn’t much else going on. Worse still, some of the entertainment team seemed more focused on flirting with young female guests than doing their jobs – completely unprofessional. We were so unhappy with the holiday that we even tried to leave early and asked to be moved to an earlier return flight. Unfortunately, the Jet2 rep (Onur) couldn’t help, so we ended up buying our own return flights with Sun Express just to get home. Overall, this was not the holiday we hoped for – far from it. The hotel facilities, service, and overall experience were extremely poor, and we wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Fabulous Hotel, amazing staff, outstanding views, just perfect in every way

We are just back from our 3rd year visit to the Orka Lotus Beach – which should tell you a lot ! Rachel, Guest Relations Manager, was always on hand to make sure we, along with all the guests, were being well looked after. The hotel is fabulous, large lobby/bar area and upstairs patissierie with amazing cakes and views out across the Bay. The staff are exceptional and cannot do enough for you – I had a sore throat and Mustafa looked after me with pots of hot mint/lemon tea with honey on the side at breakfast and lunch, the perfect remedy. The choice of food is exceptional - not least the amazing pastries, salads, yoghurts and honey at breakfast, with chefs cooking fresh fish and meat dishes throughout both lunch and dinner, accompanied in the evening with pianist or violinist, so you can still chat while enjoying the music. The rooms are well serviced; super king size beds are made up each day, and towels changed daily. We had a seaview with balcony and fabulous views. We enjoyed long walks along the promenade to Old Marmaris Town or Icmeler Town in the other direction (Wednesday food market in Icmeler is a must if you want to buy fresh spices at a fraction of the cost in the UK, also the hand made rustic olive oil soap is great for moisturising post holiday). If you prefer to stay local, there are plenty of sunbeds round a choice of pools or on the beach. . All in all a fabulous holiday and we will certainly be going back for a fourth time.

Honest review..... If this is your first time abroad or rarely take a holiday then I'm sure this will be great for you. We travel frequently, therefore tried lots of different places so can make lots of comparisons. Overall this is a good 3* hotel....definitely not at 5 star. Rooms are clean, spacious and nice. Hotel is in a great spot with good views. Shocked that in the school holidays there is no ice cream at all on offer. Checked with reception who say no ice cream. The kids club is soul destroying and dire. The building itself is large and can offer so much as it is spacious and decorated nicely. Took my children in and no eye contact from worker in there. Kids located some paint and sand art but this was taken away and they were not encouraged to do art. Advertised as supervised but was told they can only stay in they don't go upstairs as its 'dangerous', therefore asked if there was a safety gate then and was no told no. My 5 year old would definitely go upstairs so we decided to leave. Only one other child in there and my children were not welcomed at all. Very strange. Worker clearly didn't want kids in there at all. My boys have been to so many kids clubs all over Turkey and Europe and never experienced this. Good hotel if you are happy to pay for a good view and nice room but don't expect too much more.

Nice hotel comfy rooms and good food but also it’s the same food every night for a 5 star hotel I would expect better entertainment and different choices of food although they Hav good Water parks/pools for kids Amazing drinks tho But my main issue is that the entertainment is bad and it’s hard for parents to stay awake at the time it starts we spend our time walking to it just to be disappointed
