Not fancy, but overall all a nice place. They definitely need to work on upgrading their bathroom. They look warned out, so it makes them look dirty.

Everything was wonderful for our 10 day trip here except the food. Beach, pools, service, bars and activities were all amazing. If the food was better quality I would have no complaints.

We travel a lot and understand approximately what we pay for and what we get, we liked staying at this hotel. We did not expect anything at the highest level since the hotel positions itself as a 4 star, we would especially note the presence of 2 large swimming pools, a good beach, new sun loungers, which unfortunately tourists begin to break, the presence of a jacuzzi. There was enough food, we came to relax and enjoy the sea and relax, and not eat constantly, but what is worth noting is that every day there were different types of meat, sometimes there was even duck and rabbit, there was baked salmon, shrimp, beef, grilled fish, many desserts, fruits, many salads and greens, sausage slices, jamon. I don't like it when tourists take a lot of food and then leave it behind. The staff is at a high level and there is enough of it, but of course it seems to me that there are not enough staff at the reception. We liked the free transfer service, early / late check-out. The hotel had good internet, which allowed me to spend less time on work and more on relaxation. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff for their work and efforts, there is no doubt that their efforts are priceless, as I am sure that it is difficult to work with such a large number of tourists with various wishes. And finally I would like to add, it is not necessary to say out loud who you support, and who is really the destroyer of peace, it was nice to see the corresponding demonstrative hints from the hotel as solidarity, this vacation allowed me to disconnect from all the negativity that is now happening in my country. One day I will come back here again :)

We had a great time, the hotel is beautiful, the rooms were very clean, and I can’t stress enough that 99% of the staff was super kind and helpful. The buffet food was okay, but we did visit the Tokyo restaurant for dinner and we loved it. Pool’s were super clean, although the pool bar had a really bad odor coming from it. Overall great stay, and would recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Occidental Caribe. We usually stay at 5 stars resorts but we gave this one a try and found our stay on the overall enjoyable. Maderly and Irma and the other staff member of the Premium Level office were very accommodating. We would like to mention the housekeeping lady (R.Noel) who kept our room clean and towels fresh. Being a Premium Level client, we had access to La Hacienda restaurant for breakfast and lunch, even though the menu is limited, the food was very good. All the à la carte dinners were excellent, food was well presented and very flavourful. The grounds are well manicured and the premises are kept very clean. Yes, this resort is older but you can see they make an effort to maintain it. During the peak season, it must be more difficult for the maintenance staff to keep up, but in April , they were busy working. The lounge chairs seem fairly new and they were confortable. We really enjoy the beach and this area is great for long walks and fun for swimming. The only drawback was music coming from both the pool bar and the animation side of the pool during the day. This can be annoying and luckily we are beach people. The other pool area was busy with you families, they were trying to get away from the chaos of the music. If may make a recommendation, either have music from the bar or music from the animation team, not both at the same time. Thank you again for the positive experience and hopefully we will be able to return next year.
