We stayed here for 6 nights in a Seaview room. The room was large with a huge bed but was a twin bed made into a kingsize so the beds didn’t line up with the headboards and a little uncomfortable on the join but comfortable on each side. The bathroom was huge with bath and walk in shower. There was a nice balcony and a great view of the sea . We were very high up with over 60 steps to the lobby. In fact there are steps everywhere, to the lobby, pool and breakfast restaurant. There are buggies who will pick you up and ferry you up and down the steep hill to the rooms which was great but you sometimes had to wait at peak times . We don’t agree with other reviews about there not being enough choice of breakfast. HUGE selection of continental meats, cheese fruits, cereals and various pastries and breads withThai and English cooked options. we loved the freshly cooked to order omelette station. The main pool by the lobby is very nice though sun-beds are a little limited. We did t realise the other pool is across the road though there is tunnel access. Again, limited sunbeds and we were disappointed with the small and stoney beach, not at all like the pictures. Drinks by the pool are pricey and the confusing different happy hours at the bars was annoying. I would love to have used the hotel spa and had a treatment but it was very expensive especially as five minutes down the road it’s so much cheaper. Location wise it’s at the quieter top end of Chaweng and only a few minutes in a songthaew into town and suited us well If I rated the hotel on the staff alone it would be excellent. We have not had such friendly, warm, efficient and helpful service in 5* London hotels and I would rate the service of all the staff in this hotel as beyond exceptional. They work really hard to ensure everything is perfect and we really appreciated them..
