My husband and I had very high expectations of this hotel as the many positive reviews we read before booking but sadly our week did not live up to this. We booked a sea view room but got a side sea view and although the room was nice and roomy it was more of a 2 star not 5 star. The bathroom was terrible with a shower over the bath and a plastic curtain. The hair dryer was an old fashion one on the wall. Pics to follow. I suffer with arthritis and on our side of the building there was only 1 lift working which was not helpful for anyone needing to go up and down to their rooms. The cleaner informed us that the other lift had been out of action for months. Moving on. When we arrived I informed reception that our phone in our room wasn’t working. I was told it would be looked at. Day 2 my husband and I had food in one of the eateries by the pool. My chicken pocket was cold. On complaining they made me a fresh one but shortly after that I developed awful s&d. In the middle of the night my husband had to walk down 5 flights to reception because our phone hadn’t been sorted. He told reception again about the phone and they sent a cleaner. Next day we both felt unwell and we were very strict on not leaving our room. However by the evening we were desperate for some dry crackers or similar. Very upset I went to reception and explained our phone still hadn’t been sorted and no offer of room service even though reception should have know because they sent a cleaner that we were both unwell. This whole experience made us want to go home. We barely had the stomach to eat for the rest of the holiday. I found not one drink that wasn’t watered down or nice to drink. Just a very disappointed holiday that cost us a lot of money.

The worst hotel I ever stayed in

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Room wasn't very nice, dated , with holes in the wall. Food was average, not a lot of choice. Repeated almost every day. Gym experience was disappointing. Air conditioning hardly worked, no water or towels, forget about tissues to wipe equipment. To top it up all of us picked up norovirus. Never again! On the positive note rooms were kept clean, fresh towels were offered around 6pm every day after room was cleaned and we used towels after shower. Bar was very friendly.

Wonderful holiday at Mitsis Grand Hotel, year after year.

We love having our holidays at Mitsis Grand. The straff are wonderful. Both Dimitris and Maria in reception are so kind and helpful. Litsa and Anna in main bar, Irini, Panagiota, Tasoula, Popi, Manolis, Savas, George in main restaurant. Soultana with refills in the minibar. Eleni reservations and sales manager. Wonderful and helpful friends. We have staude here 11 times, second time this year, and are looking forward 2026 when the hotel reopens. Thanks to everyone at Mitsis Grand Hotel.

Don't even try sitting on your balcony as it has a air conditioning unit which is very noisy , sunbeds very uncomfortable not the standard to expect from this hotel , feel like we have been given one of the worst rooms in the hotel . I have stayed here before that is why I booked again but didn't expect our holiday to be ruined

THIS IS NOT 5 STAR by any means Please read below BUT IF YOU ARE GOING SOON THERE IS THE NEROVIRUS going around !!!!!!!! I know because word goes round and my husband has it atm !! Hotel is tired! This hotel is old things don’t work we was lucky to have a room with a card holder for electric to go on Others had a fob you take that out no fridge works no air on etc !! Thank god they are pulling the place down in November 60€million to build a new hotel with aparthotel rooms etc and swimming pool on the roof!! staff are great and went out of their way, they were always helpful our room was clean and even did a turndown service too ! Food is something else…. Yes it looks lovely and sometimes tastes okay…but it’s not always hot !! Some of it is left out until 4 am in the main dining hall as it’s open all the hours ?! We tried a few of the restaurants outside where food is cooked to order , my husband cannot eat pan Asian so we skipped that and the Italian did not have anything that we fancied it’s also in a room off the dining room which you walk by and wouldn’t notice In its day it would have been Grand and the staff do try to go above and beyond I would say 5 star service with 3 star feel
