Fabulous family fun

Great hotel, food and staff. Nothing was too much especially for Yannis the waiter/barman! Definitely would recommend for large groups as the kids had so much fun all day in the large grounds, pools and lovely ocean! The beach bar with the American food truck and the fresh wood fire pizzas kept the kids fuelled all day!

Excellent stay at Mitsis Alila.

I would like to highly recommend anyone thinking of staying at Mitsis Alila to book such. We had the most wonderful time. Not every hotel is what it portrays wrt the pics they post online so due to a very bad experience at another hotel we booked last minute into Mitsis and landed up canceling our next hotel booking to stay at Mitsis again on our return from another Island as we had enjoyed it so much. I do feel that they can work a bit on their vegetarian and fish options and the kids menu a bit more but there is always an alternative meal plan throughout the hotel and they employ the most wonderful staff that work tireless hours to make sure everyone’s needs are catered for. The ladies working at the crepes and waffle area work extra hard and some with added smiles and genuine kindness towards guests that I couldn’t leave their names out. Josephine is so lovely and shows a personal interest and warmth to all. Aleni was so helpful and attentive and a big thank you to all the staff that went above and beyond and work so hard to make the hotel what it is. Special mention to Panagiota who worked on making sure I received special meals as I don’t eat certain foods. The only complaint I have is for the hotel to fix the mosaic tiles in the private pools and upgrade of the bathrooms slightly but all in all an amazing experience!

Great service! Love all the things available for families with children. George #1 and George #2 were spectacular taking care of us at brunch. The cocktails from the main bar every night were great, must try the matador! All in all a great stay at Mitsis Alila

5* star hotel in the quality and facilities

This was our third Mitsis hotel in a 2 week stay in Rhodes. We were moved to this hotel after bad experiences at the others…… And wow did this change our opinion of Mitsis. This hotel is fantastic. Positives: - Fantastic staff. Incredibly friendly, helpful and great at their jobs. Josephine in the creperie and pita corner in particular was an absolute superstar. My young boys loved her. She made puppets out of gloves from them, showed them how to use chop sticks as drum sticks and dealt with all their fussy food requests. Special mentions should also go to the lifeguard at the kids pool and the ladies at the kids club. - Rooms were amply big enough for a family of four. Cleaned and maintained to a very high standard. - Food generally high quality with lots of choice. Personal favourite was the gyros in the pitta corner but we also enjoyed the main buffet, creperie, pizza, American food truck and tex mex. - Facilities also very good. Plenty of choice of pools, good kids play area, paddle court, lots of grass for games, kids club, loads of bars for drinks and theatre for evening shows. - Our stay coincided with a hotel full moon party, which was incredible. The live band was brilliant. The kids couldn’t handle the long day, so we took drinks up to our room and watched from the balcony. Still had a brilliant time and the light / fireworks display at the end was a poignant memory we even woke the boys up for. *Worth pointing out as well that unlike the other Mitsis we regularly saw management walking around the hotel. Helping out staff when busy, maintaining high standards and engaging customers to ask if there were any issues. Things that could be better: - Self serve soft drink machines to limits the queues especially at the pool / theatre bar. - Some of the public toilets near the pool need a bit of a lick of paint and some loose screws in door locks fixed. Overall brilliant hotel and we would certainly return despite such awful experiences at other Mitsis hotels.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel as a family of 5 and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel has a luxurious feel, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was excellent. Highlights: Clean, modern rooms Bars and restaurants with a wide variety of delicious options Plenty of sunbeds without the need for early reservations Full range of drinks available Fantastic slides and pools Safe and secure environment What could make it even better: More poolside staff to serve drinks would be great, so I wouldn't have to leave the sunbed as often! Please reconsider using salt in the main pool—the kids weren’t fans. The family room only has one bathroom, which is tricky for a group of 5. Adding a small basketball court or football pitch would be perfect for keeping older kids entertained, as there’s plenty of space available. The pool by the slides could be bigger; it gets crowded with so many people. A foot shower near the beach would help keep sand from being tracked into the hotel. Lastly, relocating the Champagne bar to take advantage of the views would be a fantastic improvement. To be clear, I would absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel. These are just a few suggestions to make an already great experience even better!
