We just got back last month from the most incredible vacation of our lives, which included a 5 night stay at this amazing resort in the Maldives. I almost cried walking to our villa. It’s that beautiful. Totally barefoot vibes. Yes, you can be barefoot anywhere here. Nonetheless, our room lived up to the expectations and more. It was so spacious, fresh, had the most comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, plenty of water, every amenity you could need, an amazing pool, and not one, but TWO outdoor beds. I love that they not only included the typical bath robe and slippers, but also 2 additional lighter robes, flip flops, a complimentary beach bag that you can take home, binoculars, and even yoga mats. There’s also plenty or personal items should you need them. We actually used the pool right away and had our first marine life sighting with a couple of stingrays and a turtle. Later on we actually swam with the turtle who apparently liked it under our villa, and even saw dolphins from our deck. Some of the complimentary services and amenities include a gym with pool table, snorkeling equipment (with lifejackets), paddle boards, kayaks, and there was even a sunset manager’s reception that included drinks and canapes. We also received a complimentary 20 minute massage, which was certainly a nice teaser, as we returned 2 days later and got a massage together. Among the activities they have available for an additional charge, we both did the night snorkeling, and I tried aerial yoga, both absolutely worth it. They also have day time snorkeling, different kinds boat rides, for fishing, dolphin watching, sunset, both in group and private, also jet skiing, beach dinners, sand bank dinners, BBQ dinner in your room, and anything else you can think of you just ask your butler, and they’ll find a way. Our butler even surprised us with a nice flower bath that I of course very much enjoyed. Breakfast was plentiful, with both buffet that had variations every day, and a an la carte menu. They even brought an opener drink, and fresh juices to start. Lunch and dinner were great at Ocean, bur we also did the Maldivian themed buffet night, and their signature gorgeous restaurant Batheli, which is the first fine dining Maldivian restaurant in the country, and that was so delicious. The food was exquisite, nicely served, and wine selections were on point. Our only regret was not making it there earlier for sunset drinks. Imagine this romantic dinner with sunset in the background. Regardless, I’m still dreaming about that curry. It’s important to note that in the Maldives, you pay an additional 10% service charge, and 16% on top of that, for anything you consume. That’s the norm with every resort. Overall, this was such a memorable stay, truly felt like paradise, and we are so glad that we left this for our honeymoon because we don’t think it can get any better than this. It was absolutely worth it, and we hope to return. Special thanks to our butler Jameel, Shiaz from Batheli, Saika, Jhosna, the massage and the aerial yoga ladies, the cute scuba instructor, and all the staff that has such great vibes.
