This hotel has a spectacular setting of nature and history for its distinctive accommodation: it nestles within the high above the ancient Lindos Acropolis and offers a panorama of the Aegean Sea and distant coastline. Adapting the early 17th century Lindian architecture, this Lindos luxury hotel is uniquely enriched with an array of detail throughout hand carved stone facades, elaborate carved woodwork, hand-painted ceramics, as well as decorative painted ceilings. Massive stone walls support the guests' private terraces paved with pebble mosaics. On terraces overlooking the Aegean and the distant coastline, the twelve suites of hotel share the same traditional 17th century style. However, each room has an individual ambiance, depending upon its size and orientation within the complex. The suites contain luxurious mattresses which are set on large traditional Lindian raised wooden platforms. Specially executed hand-painted ceilings and ceramic panels, old carved village doors, mother-of-pearl inlay furniture and mirror frames, marble mosaic floors, combine with luxury items and natural bath amenities. By 2007 the combination of all these unique aspects, led this Hotel to become a member of prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Marvellous Melenos

We had a wonderful time staying at this unique boutique hotel. It is laid out like a tiny whitewashed village in a lovely peaceful location. Our superior room 12 was very traditional and had a private terrace overlooking the sea. The staff, especially Georgia and Val, were very attentive and even arranged a bottle of champagne for my husband’s birthday. Beautiful secluded terrace for breakfast with a good range of delicious food. A most individual and memorable place - thank you.

A beautiful hotel tucked away in a quiet part of Lindos but very close to Pallas beach (the best one), the Acropolis & the nicest restaurants The rooms are beautiful with great views (though most review pictures don’t do them justice) Georgia was very welcoming & helpful and rightfully proud of this great hotel. Will book again

The Melenos Art Boutique has captured our hearts and has proven to be a little piece of paradise and the hidden gem of Lindos! This hotel boasts the most stunning location with breathtaking views of the bay and beyond. We arrived late at night and found sandwiches, cake and wine waiting for us in our beautiful superior suite. A nice little touch as all the restaurants were closed. It was a sheer delight to spend 10 nights at the Melenos. The small team of staff make this hotel an unforgettable, perfect experience, and they all need full recognition for their contributions. The breakfasts are delicious and served in the most beautiful garden overlooking the bay on one side, and overlooked by the Acropolis on the other, what more could one ask for? Lindos itself is captivating with an abundance of restaurants and gift shops and the atmosphere is very low-key. There is no pressure from front-of-house staff at restaurants and we were able to view the menus without hassle. There is a list of restaurant recommendations in the suite and we found this very helpful. We found it best to book the day before as it does get very busy in Lindos with day tourists. It's been 16 years since my last visit and sadly the poor donkeys are still being used to transport lazy people up to the Acropolis. Having said that, they do look in better health and there is a weight limit, but it is still a tragic sight to see adults riding the poor worn-out animals. We hired a car for 5 days as there's not much to do once the Acropolis, 2 small beaches and St Paul's Bay, which is on the doorstep, have been explored. Many thanks to Georgia and all of the team, it was a beautiful, unforgettable experience. Enjoy your rest once the season comes to an end. Best wishes, J & A

The most relaxing and beautiful holiday you could ask for

We had the most wonderful stay at Melenos Art boutique hotel. So much to say really and all of it absolutely wonderful. We had a week with friends followed by a week with family so it was a complicated booking. Right from the outset when booking the team at melenos ( Georgia was the ultimate star!!!) helped me with absolutely everything. From making sure the villa would accommodate such varied needs to booking anything we needed from restaurant recommendations to boat hire and sun loungers. Nothing was too much trouble. In all honesty we have stayed all over the world and have never received such personal and outstanding service so thank you Georgia and Melenos. Our villa was jaw droppingly beautiful, stylish, comfortable, clean, everything you could possibly need and more. We did get a sneak peak at other villas and they were all absolutely beautiful. Perfect location, literally a 3 minute walk to the beaches and any restaurants and shops. Honestly the most relaxing holiday, we felt really looked after and cant wait to come back!

An amazing complex of 12 beautiful suites, we were upgraded to the master suite which was stunning, the view from the terrace must have been the best in Lindos. Our host Georgia welcomed us and ensured that our stay was perfect, one of the loveliest properties we have ever stayed in.
