Marti Resort Deluxe

Overall we had a great time staying here. Il be honest in that we were a little worried having read some negative reviews prior to arriving...I think all have some merit but the negatives were more niggles than issues. It's a really pretty and well maintained hotel. Very clean, great pools and the beach was lovely. Not usually being a beach fan but I liked this one a lot - felt really calm, safe and relaxing. Be careful as the tiles round the pool get slippy when wet and I often saw adults and children sliding. No sunbed wars unless you want the best spots round the pool. Lots of space one row back or in the garden or shaded areas. Our room was fine - nothing special but we chose not to upgrade as we don't spend much time in there. The cleaner came daily and was very friendly. The food was nice overall. I agree it got repetitive but no worse than any other all inclusive. The Turkish bread at breakfast was lovely, and the salads, fruit etc looked and tasted fresh. We particularly enjoyed the night where they served sushi and also the Turkish kebabs were yum! Unfortunately we didn't get to eat at the Mexican as we were only able to get booked in 5 nights after we arrived and then were informed on the day the chef was ill. We were disappointed about this and felt the hotel could have offered us something as an alternative as it was advertised as an included part of the all inclusive. Drinks were great - pretty much could have anything you wanted, including cocktails. Personally I didn't think it was very eco-friendly serving all drinks in single use plastic cups however - there were lots of posters up stating their commitment to preserving the environment and this could be easily be addressed using washable plastic cups as other hotels do. My kids loved the kids club which they went to a couple of times and loved the disco at night. Agree with other comments however that the area for this is too small, and this meant often standing or perching on a wall - which isn't particularly comfortable. The themed nights were great too! We used the gym and spa daily. Again, a nice, well maintained space and actually the staff in here were really friendly (Michelle!) 😀 Other staff maybe are a bit somber...I only noticed this towards the end of the holiday however. We were approached by a lady from Guest Relations asking us for feedback on our stay but she quickly became disinterested and wandered off...we found it quite funny but some might have found this irritating! For us, this hotel ticked all the boxes we wanted from this holiday. We had a great stay as a fanily, and have returned relaxed, tanned and happy!

Upon arriving at the hotel, we were blown away by how amazing it looked. Unfortunately, once we arrived at our hotel room, disappointment set in. The room we were given was nothing like the pictures or description of the room that we had booked. We were located on the ground floor. Zero natural light in the room. Extremely dark and dingy, even when we had all available lamps turned on. We had no balcony as described in our booking. When we opened our sliding glass doors, there were 2 chairs and a plant box. Soil and muddy water filled the floor area. Public could access this area so didn’t feel that we could leave our floats or belonging out to dry. Again, because of continuous guests walking past our room, we felt uncomfortable sitting outside and it wasn’t relaxing at all. We didn’t feel able to open our net curtain to try and let some light into our already dark-lit room as guests would look in, which felt intrusive and made feel us very uncomfortable. There was lack of privacy. Whenever we did go into the outside area of our ‘balcony’, we were greeted by a buzzing, electric box and ‘danger’ signs. We also had a ‘bath’ on our room booking but we were only given a shower in our room, which was not great for our son, who has special needs. The maid asked to clean our room one morning when I was dressing my children. I’m not sure if it was the language barrier but she continued to come into our room when I asked her not to. We sat on the bed whilst she cleaned. I noticed her mop and bucket was filthy and brown. She first cleaned the bathroom and all around the toilet area (which from when we arrived, smelled badly of urine) and then proceeded to mop the rest of the room with the same mop! The thought of my young son being on his hands and knees on the floor made me feel sick and we all wore socks around the room after seeing that. Our brand new white socks were filthy after a short while. Our room smelled and felt dirty during our stay. The bins were not fully emptied daily. There was an awful drainage smell coming from the shower area. Staff were miserable and at times quite rude. My husband asked for a drink of orange juice at the bar area in the dining room at breakfast and was refused and told by the bar staff, ‘nearly end of breakfast serving time’. However, a Turkish guest went up to the bar straight after my husband and was served no problem! We did put a complaint in about this. I also felt like we had to beg for water on a daily basis, we got the impression that they didn’t like giving out bottled water. We had to queue for food daily and wait for staff to prepare food items. The eggs were so undercooked one morning, we couldn’t eat them. We needed to have breakfast early on our last day, breakfast starts at 7am. We got there and no hot food was prepared or out ready to eat. The beans were sat in a serving tray, stone cold. We noticed that they must reheat food from previous days as they looked cooked but when we went to eat them, again, cold! No eggs or pancakes were being made and we only had the selection of salad, bread or cereals. No cold drinks available as bar staff not working yet. Only the instant coffee machines available. Plenty of staff around but just talking to each other, they ignored us when we went to the serving hatches waiting to be served. My children don’t drink tea or coffee and wanted a cold drink for breakfast. I waited at the bar area with staff around me and they ignored me. I even asked a member of staff and they pointed to the coffee machines. I gave up and went back to the room for some bottled water for my children to drink. Once more guests started arriving, they started serving the full breakfast experience but it was too late for us. We wouldn’t have gone down so early but it was advertised that breakfast started at 7am. The positives about this trip are the fantastic pool areas, which my children enjoyed. The location is great and the beach is beautiful. I think if we had been given a better room, our holiday experience would’ve been a lot better! The food is lovely and the hotel itself is clean and impressive.

The bay, beach, pools and nearby shops and bars are outstanding. Few things not so good. 1. Rooms not like the photos on Tui website. Says a double room has a sofa bed, ours didn’t. Air con very old, but they did let us change rooms and second one excellent. Other side of hotel currently has a crane and building work, so make sure you book a sea view of possible. Sea views amazing from 4th floor. 2. Food. I’m a vegetarian and not much effort to do more than one main dish at dinner time. Salads fine though. Mexican restaurant is free if you book, but NO VEGE OPTIONS AT ALL. I had to go to the main canteen for mine. Waiter was lovely, but chef did as little as poss for the meat dishes. Lazy and set in ways in my opinion. 3. Lastly, would be nice for more staff to smile and want to do their best for you. Unfortunately only half did this. I think they need a pay rise to motivate them a bit more.

3 or 4 star review but looked so lovely, went woth the 4! Beautiful complex in a great location, on the edge of Icmeler. Hotel kept really clean. Our room was dated, and the food was very repetitive which let it down. The snack bar rarely had food or served it as advertised but this is something I'm emailing hotel about. Entertainment area on small side, meant we went out more than we normally would. Pool was fantastic, and beach area is lovely. Towel exchange great for when you've been to beach then pool! Amazing location, not too close to hustle and bustle, but close enough to bars, restaurants and shops. The food was the only let down but I would still consider going back again

Brilliant family holiday - we have been to Marmaris 3 times now and Marti Resort has been fantastic. W have two young children so a big bonus was being able to drop the kids at kids club every day and get time to ourselves to relax / use the gym etc kids free for a few hours each day!! Zehra and Hatice in the kids club were brilliant with the kids and both kids loved all the activities they put in every day and could not wait to go back to kids club every day - thank you for letting us have both a family holiday and getting to relax too - we had an amazing family holiday here and would definitely return!!
