Just returned from a 10 night stay at La Perla. This was our first time in Icmeler and we wasn't disappointed. Before we went we read the reviews and must admit was very apprehensive with all the negative comments, we needn't have been. The main complaints seem to be The food and cleanliness and some issues around staff. First of all The food, this seems to be a classic complaint on all reviews regardless where people go for their holidays. You're not going to get what you get at home. If that's what you want then don't go All Inclusive, you can get a full English breakfast and chicken and chips etc. just up the road. I'm a fussy eater and never went hungry all the time we were there so well done to the catering staff. Next the cleanliness of the hotel. Yes it could be better. Our room was on 4th floor with mountain view. The cleaner came in our room everyday, made beds, changed towels, cleaned bathroom, replaced toilet rolls. Didn't expect anything more. Any complaints should be made to management asap not wait till you get home and complain in a review..Yes some do but some dont. In my opinion each floor should have so many rooms checked everyday by the supervisor. The cleaners by the pool and on the beach never stop keeping things neat and tidy. Now the staff...Restaurant staff, bar staff very welcoming and friendly. As it was end of season The animation team didn't have anything to do so appeared to just walk about. Also the music they played in the evenings was of their own taste and not that of the guests. During our stay the average age group was around 55 so the music wasn't suitable and guests got up and left. The hotel, like many others, has pros and cons. We chose this hotel for its location and it being "Adult Only". The hotel itself does need upgrading and hopefully this can be done in closed season ready for 2025. Will we stay there again...DEFINITELY..Already been looking to book but as of yet Jet 2 are in the midst of signing their contracts..
