Husband and I were here to attend a wedding in Miami and to also visit an ailing family member a few hours away. It was a short trip with a lot of needs packed in. When we arrived we were checked in, but our room wasn't ready - And we were exhausted. We were checked in by a young adult who was nice enough, but clearly wasn't in tune with observing "social cues." But we were respectful and grabbed a bite to eat to pass the time. We were under the impression that our room would be ready shortly and that they were working on it. However, that was not the case. It seemed that it would still be several hours more until we could get into a room. Ultimately when my husband spoke up some time later, a more senior gentleman stepped in. His name was Desi. Desi was creative with getting us into a room immediately and followed up with a call to us a few hours later to make sure we were okay with the accommodations. That type of customer service only comes with experience and Desi had it. So a huge thank you to Desi who saved my sanity as I headed into a long weekend with mixed emotions. That said, we stayed in a 2 BR unit in bldg #7 instead of one by the pool, on the ground floor. Admittedly, although it was the last bldg, the walk to the pool area was much shorter than originally anticipated (about 30 seconds) as the property map was deceiving making it appear to be a much longer walk. It was quiet and the unit was large. Not many amenities on the property, which was fine, but the grounds were immaculate and we had a beautiful walk-out view to the water. I would definitely return to this property and want to again give a shoutout to Desi for going out of his way to make sure that we were happy with our stay.
