Marmaris Bay Resort

Excellent hotel and amenities we especially liked the spa and haman treatment we received. The staff were very experienced and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend the full indulgence treatment. The beach was private and exclusive no hassling for beach chairs, lots of room. The restaurants catered for all types of cuisine. Food was very good.

Just now back from 9 nights at the Wonderful Marmaris Bay Resort. What a perfect place to unwind and soak in the incredible setting. The facilities find the perfect blend of rusticity without being basic. The resort itself is sympathetically blended into the stunning contoured location which is almost undetectable if you have the chance to get out onto the many boating opportunities and look back at it. Because the resort is set amongst the rocks, I could see how it could be a little challenging for anyone that doesn't have average to good mobility. There is however, a golf buggy service happy to run you round anywhere at the drop of a hat (free of charge). Personally, we enjoyed the ups and downs and characteristics of the lay out. There are beach areas and a rocky quayside to enjoy sunbathing and you can usually get a subbed without too much fuss. The Zest beach was really great if you wanted a changing shade pattern that could give you various degrees of sun and shade as the sun moved around amongst the overhanging trees. Great, if you don't want to get too frazzled on your first days. The sea was a lovely temperature! and the snorkelling was really good. The area adjacent to the rocky quayside was the best location IMHO. We really liked the way that the extra facilities weren't forced upon us. This can be too much at times and ruin a good holiday experience. At Marmaris Bay Resort we only received pleasant conversation from the lovely staff in this area. My girlfriend had a haircut and absolutely loved it. The lady hairdresser was such a kind person and my girlfriend was over the moon with the haircut. The water-sport guys, sap, photographer etc just leave you alone unless you want to use the services so hats off to them all!!! It all helped to let you relax and unwind completely. The food has been really good! I honestly cannot understand how people can say that the food is limited (reading other reviews before we came). There was just so much choice and all of it was of incredibly high standards at all times. The sad thing to see was how some guests take themselves 6 plates of food back to their tables and eat about 1/4 of the food leaving the rest to go in the bin. Despicable human behaviour !! We took a trip into Marmaris on the boat taxi and had a short but really fun stay there. Neither myself or my girlfriend are that into shopping so we had a couple of cheeky beers and a really nice kebab. There are shops everywhere!!!! If buying cheap imitation gear (probably) is your thing then you are going to be in paradise here. A great fun experience! The staff really do deserve a mention as they are exceptional!!!!! All very polite and good at their jobs. You feel like you are leaving friends behind when you leave. Extra special mention to a few superstars of the holiday :- Bobby : Just a great all round guy that made the entertainment just perfect. Great guy to hang out with too. Diego : Same as above, just an incredible guy! Beware of him at water polo ... holy c%&p he is amazing! Just the best guy! Ismail : Waiter around the zest area and zest restaurant at nighttime. Again, just a super lovely guy and we had some real giggles with him. Just so humble and kind. Mazlum : He was our waiter for nearly the whole time. Nothing too much trouble and incredibly attentive to our needs. He knew we needed a drink before we did a lot of the time. Amazing waiter and really one of the nicest guys we have met on holiday. What a credit to the resort this guy is. Diyar : Barman at the quay bar. What an amazing guy. We just loved this guy!!! He was so much fun to be around and just so good at this job. Big hugs all round when we left. People like this just can't be praised enough and make you feel like you are some sort of VIP. Exemplary. Just so many other incredible staff that should get a mention but the names leave me. All in all, they must be hand picked to be that good! There is obviously a great recruitment process here. In essence, we just had the very best time here and would love to come back again. It's not usual for us to go to the same resort twice but we would definitely seriously consider this one!!! It was a perfect holiday. Thank you all so very much !!!!!!!

Couldn't fault the grounds, beautiful surroundings and well kept. Vegatable garden was such a lovely sustainability idea. We had our photos taken by the lovely Burak on our last night before our dinner at Zest which was fun, he was very professional and efficient. Food was delicious but service was slightly slow, it wasnt particularly busy and our dessert came out nearly 40 minutes later. Staff were very friendly, respectful and professional and always happy to help out though. Food was excellent, lots of options and a nice touch with the chefs making food/salads at meal times. Supper is at 23:30 - 01:30 so was really nice touch when we arrived late at night and were hungry and tired. Drinks were made efficiently at the bars dotted around the resort. Yes there are inclines that can be challenging if not physically fit but this is a given when you read reviews. The location is totally worth it however. The resort is big enough that it doesn't feel overcrowded even though it was fully booked, there's always areas to relax. About 20 mins to the centre of Marmaris by bus or water taxi which was easy enough. WiFi coverage was brilliant and never had a problem with connections. Only two cons - the music at the "activity pool" was tiresome as it played all day long and not particularly tastful or relaxing. If you were sat down by the sea front in a specific area you could hear it all day. The bedroom cleanliness could have had more attention, the floors were dirty if you walked around bare foot, a few stray hairs and we found an empty bottle behind a piece of furniture. A beautiful, well kept resort that's close to nature and will certainly offer the best holiday in an exceptional part of the world.

Spent 10 nights at the resort in Aug 24 with teenage son. Beautiful setting, on a hillside in amongst trees so many steps to get anywhere. They will take you anywhere in golf buggies if you don't want to walk. Nice rooms. Restaurants are as you would expect. We were fortunate in being looked after by Enes every night, he is fantastic, so look him up if you visit. Entertainment staff are all nice, but stand outs for us were Naz, the only female staff member- see her for archery every afternoon; also DJ Ozzy, an absolute live wire. We went clubbing in Marmaris with Ozzy had gad a blast. Only negative was the limited evening entertainment, which was okay if you're in a couple, but if you've older children with you it's a bit limited for them. Take a walk to Nimara Magarasi caves, takes a while, but really worth it. Overall well worth a visit.
