Lindos White hotel & suites

This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in 😊 Even though our holiday was at the end of the season, and we were actually the last guests to leave the hotel on 1st November, we had a fabulous stay. The weather was gorgeous - 26° every day - and although it was quiet, it was exactly the relaxing getaway that we wanted. We had a huge jacuzzi room on the highest floor with amazing views across the sea. So we had to take the funicular lift plus two other short lift rides, and a few steps to reach our room, but we soon got used to our journey and it was well with it for those spectacular views! The lifts weren’t absolutely necessary as steps were an alternative, depending how energetic we were feeling! The food is amazing, well cooked with lots of variety. Drinks are served at your table following your personal requests. Both pools offer sandwiches and baguettes all day, which are offered toasted too. Ice cream is help yourself throughout the day with plenty of choice of flavours. The BBQ and Italian evenings in the à la carte restaurant are well worth a visit. The atmosphere is nice and you don’t feel like you’re in a hotel but dining out elsewhere - really lovely. The drinks are quality, sometimes too strong, especially in the main bar which is open from late afternoon. Lots of cocktails to choose from and the local wine, beer and spirits are nice. The beach is across the road from the hotel and was kept clean and tidy. It’s a pebble beach with crystal clear water, beautiful. There are 3 shops nearby. One across the road in the Tui Blue hotel. The second is to the left of the hotel and few minutes walk down the road. The third is to the right of the hotel, maybe a 5-7 minute walk along the pavement on the main road. The prices are on par with those in Lindos, depending on what you’re looking for exactly. Lindos is a short taxi or bus ride away. We opted for a taxi which was €10 each way. We cannot fault the staff at all. Always friendly, helpful and work hard to create a clean and happy environment. They even treated us to a late checkout on our department day free of charge, which we were extremely grateful for. We also received a gift on checkout which is something we have not had before and was such a lovely personal gesture. Thought this hotel was spot on. Based on the previous reviews I thought they were very accurate. The service from the receptionists, barmen, waiting staff and cleaners was superb. It was the last week before they closed for the winter and hadn't got many guests so lacked a bit of buzz, but they can't help that. Pools were good, Food was very very good. Great selection of bits for dinner. My son loved the ribs, plus breakfast was good. Full English was decent. Very close to Lindos town either a taxi ride or shuttle bus. We upgraded to a room with a private pool which was well worth it. Apologies to the other quiet guests for out loud game of cards on a few nights! There was 4 of us having a great time, fuelled by the barmen!

Absolutely amazing! Staff and hotel couldn’t be better. Met with a warm welcome, and the staff were so unbelievably good. The room was spacious and comfy. Better cocktails needed and more vegan food options, but couldn’t fault it otherwise.

Well normally I let my wife write the reviews but had such a amazing time I thought I’d write one for a change first of all the staff are amazing every single one of them always had a smile on their face the hotel is just kept fantastically clean from the rooms to the pools and bar areas, the food is great the service is top quality and you can book two à la carte evenings in their restaurant on the hill which is such a good experience definitely would love to come back

Arriving at the hotel on the 7th October around 10:35PM we were greeted by friendly reception staff member who got us checked in quickly, and also we were provided a filled baguette to ensure we were not left hungry as the restaurant was closed for the night . Our suitcases were taken to our room by another very friendly member of staff, so lets start the review here. The room we had booked was the executive suite with pool. The room was spacious and immaculate, and the pool was much bigger than expected. Plenty space for hanging clothes, and a safe which was included. There was a fridge in room which was replenished daily, 2 cans lager, 2 bottles Pepsi, 1 bottle lemonade, 1 bottle orangeade and 2 x 1.5L bottles of water. The bed was 2 single beds which I felt was the only downside, as trying to get a cuddle through night did not end well :) Shower was lovely, nice rainfall with a separate head also. The water was always hot too, no matter when showering. Would say this is the best shower I have ever had whilst away. Housekeeping were in every day, cleaned everything and fresh bedding and towels provided every day. Can I add here that the housekeeping team that done our room 3501 were superb. They were friendly and every day we had a laugh with Kevin the Carrot, yes we took Kevin! The walk from the main building to the executive suites is lengthy, so if booking be prepared, I have seen some people complain about this but there are 3 lifts to get you there. Do not book if you have mobility issues and not prepared to go the distance to rooms. Unfair to complain about this! Food - There is one main restaurant where buffet is served. There are some themed nights. We never had any issues with the food, always something to eat and it was tasty enough. There is also the Italian and Grill on the Hill that you can book. This is same place but held different nights, well worth going so make sure and book both as all included. There is food served through the day at pool bars also if you don't fancy going to main restaurant for lunch, toasties, chips etc. Drink - The bars were fine, both pool bars you were served in either plastic cups or cardboard cups which were prone to leaking. Understand the need around pool areas but need something to hold the liquid in, not drip or pour over you. Staff on pool bars were friendly enough if making the effort with them. Main bar in reception you were allowed glass for drinks which we must all admit is far better. Pint's were often not pints but half pint and a massive head, but hey we were all inclusive and the steps back and forth to bar did us no harm. Was hoping for Mythos but it wasn't to be. Area - The area itself I would describe as upcoming development. It is a taxi ride into Lindos itself, which by the way is stunning, we went in a couple of time and loved it, so glad to have seen this. I would advise going early if visiting the Acropolis as the lines are long! There are a couple of supermarkets if you need anything, and a couple of other bars/restaurants, but really that is it. Not complaining as we needed a chilled holiday and that is exactly what we had. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, value for money was spot on. I would go back if we were in executive room, but don't think I would stay in main section as rooms looked very small, and at parts dated. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent, maybe some paint on door leading from reception out to hotel complex would look better. From all the good things I seen in this hotel this sticks in my mind. One other negative is the main bar staff member attitude at times. Guests should not witness a screaming match between staff, unsure what had happened but both were NOT happy!
