I do not recommend visiting this hotel! This is the worst hotel we have ever been to and the worst service we have ever had. The rooms are old, the bathrooms stink and there is toxic mold everywhere. The drain in our room was blocked. The employees entered the room without our knowledge (but also without our request because we did not report the blocked drain) and occupied it for over 2 hours. We could not use out room, put our child to sleep. Of course, the drain was NOT fixed in the end. The food is not very diverse. I really do not know why this hotel has so many stars. My previous review was deleted because the Guest Relations Manager - Kallia Roditi asked for it and promised compensation in the form of a refund for one night. Of course, we did not receive any compensation, no money was returned to us. It has been 2 months now. Also Mrs. Kalina Roditi and Sotiria Inetzi (Reservations Manager) have stopped responding to emails. In my opinion it is unprofessional to lie to your guests and to trick them into removing negative reviews. Again - I do not recommend visiting this hotel!

When we went to our room the first time I was really impressed, not only was the little drive next to a small river very charming, the entrance to the room was just breathtaking. We had a King River Passage suite with a separate bedroom and private pool, which was very big yet cosy. We were really in love with our suite, and the little garden with private pool! It was near to the main restaurant but sound proofing was absolutely top notch: we didn’t hear anything from the bar or neighbors. Amenities were great too. I don’t think they ever had a couple with 3 kids staying there though, because they were in the room with a few people to manage to get two beds and a baby bed fitting the room, but the kids had enough space and slept comfortably! As for the resort itself, what a nice place to be. Very relaxed vibe, nice bars and restaurants, some little stores, a lot of different places to hang out near the pool or beach, … but also for our kids: there is a very nice kids club (unfortunately the baby club was closed, we heard when we arrived), 3 stunning pools, a nice beach, and even a playground out of the sun. The kids had the time of their lives! Also nice to have a mini market to spoil the kids with an extra inflatable :-) A special thanks to Shannon and her team at the kids club for entertaining our kids, and especially for also foreseeing vegan cheese so our daughter could also make pizza! We took a sunset trip with a boat at Sabina’s, which was an aboslute highlight of our holiday. Thanks Sabina for making our memory of Rhodes even more special! About food and drinks: we had an all inclusive package which was very generous. There was always something available at different places. A bit strange that every restaurant had just a few things we couldn’t choose from and the bar didn’t serve half of the menu… The buffet restaurant was ok. It had mainly traditional greek food (which as such I appreciated, but often only the greek names were given so you could only guess the ingredients) but there was not very much variation. The theme restaurants however were superb! We tried them all, and especially Niku was just amazig, the flavors were spot on. We really enjoyed the food! One thing we didn’t really appreciate was the level of service. Everyone was very friendly, always with a smile and welcoming, so that wasn’t the issue. But service at the restaurants was slow and chaotic. Every day we were asking for spoons and often they didn’t immediately found them, for example. Or one morning it took 45 minutes to get our drinks, after receiving several incorrect orders and notifying staff without result. So we went to the bar ourselves, they didn’t have the order yet so we could have waited even longer. Also, we were a bit disappointed there was nothing foreseen for our son’s third birthday… we asked if he could have a dessert he could eat as he has a milk allergy (he was litterally only having fruit for dessert all week), but apparently even that wasn’t possible. We could pay 50 euros for balloons if we wanted, so far the hospitality… just one balloon, or a spoon of sorbet would give us a completely different feeling. So in general, I would definitely recommend this place, especially with kids, as it has a magical vibe. I hope level of service goes up, because this place has all the potential to be a true piece of heaven on earth!

Stayed here at end of October for 6 nights. Received room upgrade due to the HH status which was super nice. From check in to check out, ticked all the boxes. Staff were very polite and friendly. Also thank you for the chef Vicky for the lovely omelette at bfst. Overall we do love and enjoy the stay!!

We spent an enjoyable 5 days here, soaking up the sun and there is no question the beach is beautiful. However during our 5 days there were certain things which caused annoyance or confusion during our stay. 1. The hotel looks stunning , but it does feel like one of those places that if you scratch the surface it unravels. Our room was basic, but there were some renovation ‘hang over’ works which needed attention, 2. The phone in our room didn’t work. This was reported and someone came out twice to fix, but it couldn’t be fixed ( or so we assumed, as we were not actually told this directly) . When later in the stay we were asked ‘why didn’t you ring?’ It felt like communication between staff was not the best. 2. The tablet, for making reservations on, was a complete farce! Numerous times the tablet froze and needed to be reset, to just freeze again an hour later. Even when it ‘worked’ a reservation was never confirmed. 3. The spa staff were lovely, however got the impression that due to end of season the spa had limited opening hours, and you couldn’t book a treatment without having to wait a couple of days. Usually this would be fine, but when advertised as a spa hotel you would think access to treatments would be a little easier. 4. We had no water in our room one night and the toilet made pressure water noises all night. When we reported ( again no phone, so trip to reception) we were told that it was a hotel wide issue over night but all fixed now. It was all fixed ( that element was right) in the morning but when we spoke to various other guests they said they had had water the night before and there was no problem with theirs . The hotel also sent two maintenance guys , on two consecutive days, to check our ‘water issue’. When we said to them the hotel had said it was a ‘hotel wide issue’, so we couldn’t understand why they were there, they said ‘because you reported it’. 5. The social media presence of this hotel is very glossy, and all photos are staged. During our stay they were hosting an influencer ‘holiday’ who all wrote marvellous reviews. That in itself I don’t have a problem with. However our trip was our honeymoon, after a really stressful year, and we paid a lot of money to be there. It feels like more care and attention is paid to public perception and ‘how they want to be seen’ instead of the real customers who are paying to be there. 6. When we had cause to report issues in fairness they were listened too, but were also ‘glossed over’or brushed off ! On the last day I raised the issues we had had again, and though we did receive complimentary late check out, which was kind, we felt very much like we were being considered a pain through our feedback. Whilst waiting in reception for our lift to the airport it was made obvious by the team in the reception area that they all knew we had complained and the reaction by at least one of them was more than frosty. We choose to move outside and wait instead, so everyone could thaw out a little! 7. Finally, one member of staff informed us that they were all working very hard as lots of temporary staff contracts had not been renewed because it was getting close to end of season. Running on a Skelton staff structure clearly presented challenges for the staff team but also impacted on the customer experience greatly. We know that end of season means a different staff structure but check it works, be transparent about it and check your staff are doing ok! I know the response will be to this that they take feedback very seriously and are sorry that we were not satisfied with certain elements of our stay. It’s again a response that feels slightly robotic and not really listened to. Its a genuine shame as there are elements of this setting which are stunning ( they will also comment on the fact they are pleased we enjoyed elements) but it needs to address some of the staff communication and work out its identity. If the identity is ‘selling a farce’ then its nearing a gold star, where as if its identity is for luxury holidays and outstanding customer service then there is a bit of work to do. However, that is not out of reach, with a rejig of purpose and reshuffle of focus. I really hope they can get there. Would we rush back? No. It didn’t feel like we had our moneys worth and nor did it feel like a honeymoon experience ( we’ve never complained anywhere we have been before ) Positives Stunning beach 🏖️ Italian restaurant 🇮🇹 Local bus stop just over the road , and the public transport is cheap, reliable and convenient 🚌 Lovely suncream/aftersun sample in the rooms. ☀️ Nice local chap who runs the small little supermarket over the road from the hotel, deffo one to support with your business.👨‍💼 Daybeds at beach very comfy. 💜
