Honest review of a hotel that seems to divide opinion. We stayed all inclusive for the first time as a family and I have reviewed this as well. Hotel itself: a clean and well presented place, generally very clean in the public areas, however there is a lack of air conditioning in the public areas, this can be uncomfortable in mid summer if, like us, you have a late departure and cannot get the room kept on. Location: right on the sea front with fantastic views across to Ladies Beach and beyond one way and towards the national park the other. It’s a taxi ride into centra Kusadasi,as it’s about 3 miles away! Very short walk to Ladies Beach, which has a small number of restaurants and bars to visit. The beach isn’t the best not terrible though. Rooms: can only comment on ours and it was amazing! Booked a club family room and in effect it was two separate rooms as there was a dividing wall and door to create the feeling of adjoined rooms! We had 3209 with two balconies overlooking the adult pool and full sea views. I obviously cannot comment on other rooms, but most people we spoke to were happy, but there was a few complaints about small rooms with poor garden views as well. Cleaned daily to a good standard. Good AC in the rooms. All inclusive option : being honest AI isn’t for us. However if it’s what your looking for then it’s okay. Food was fine for us, fairly good quality with a decent choice, however it can get repetitive!! You have to bear in mind this is in reality a UK standard 3 star hotel, if your expecting full blown Gordon Ramsay food forget it…its done to a price. It’s also built to service the main body of guests who are Turkish, we don’t find this a problem though. But no pig based foods, it’s a Muslim country so this should be respected. I did find the drinks disappointing, draft beef was okay, but flat and lifeless at times and the spirit options are not branded so weren’t great, we’re not massive drinkers but did find this area a tad weak. Food is available on a full board time basis and outside this nothing is available, but given there is only a couple of hours between services it’s not an issue. Ice cream is only available for an hour a day, which seems odd. There is no specific kids menu now,if you have a fussy eater it could be tricky! Best option is lunch at the larger pool which has a snack bar option of burger and pizza. Facilities: there are two decent sized pools, the larger family pool has slides and, like other reviews, is plagued with very loud dance style music most of the day. Being honest it’s too much and could be more varied and certainly less loud. It’s busy due to the slides and had the entertainment team operating there most of the day with various activities..if it’s your thing great, but if not, then it might not be for you. There is a nice adults only pool at the other side of the hotel…however it is not treated as adult only. There was a number of children there every day and the hotel seems to accept this whilst we were there. We actually used this with our 8 year old granddaughter, and found it still to be relaxing as most kids were younger and in the main well behaved, but I can understand adults being upset by the lack of this being enforced I guess! As usual it’s a Sunbed war!!! Be prepared to get up pre 8am to grab a spot at both pools..it’s again not policed so some ‘ reserved’ spots stay empty a long time…so wrong in my opinion. Entertainment: okay, the small team do work hard, but a couple of night’s program are a little curl your toes moments😂 couple of outside acts came in and we’re decent. It’s laid back and not a massively lively vibe so bear this in mind. It’s aimed at a cosmopolitan audience, British guests are very much in the minority, not an issue for us and it had to be said, no drunken groups at all. Kusadasi is a large city and spread out so do your research! Some hotels are a really long way out and won’t have much around them other than residential areas. The centre is busy with a multitude of shops selling the usual fake designer goods, be prepared for lots of approaches to visit their shops!!! But we never encountered a rude shop owner. Be prepared to haggle, but be reasonable with them!!! Plenty of bars and restaurants and the centre leads down to the harbour. Turkey is no longer a cheap alternative to Spain or Greece, it’s comparable to mainland Spain in cost, but overall still cheaper to holiday than the UK.
