Lango Design Hotel & Spa, Adults Only

Myself and my Partner stayed here for 10 nights and it was truly from start to finish amazing! The staff from the girls and all their help and warm welcome at reception, the food and beverage boys and girls were also so attentive, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was ever a problem and they were all so helpful with big smiles from the start of the day to the evening. Working in hospitality myself, I could not fault the hotel at all, what an amazing team. The food and drinks are amazing and so many choices, a big thank you to all the chefs and bar staff, especially Dimitra who was so sweet and always checking on us during our stay. The room was so clean and fresh and we received little gifts of treats each night which was such a lovely touch, also the cleaning ladies were so lovely and do an amazing job! The pool and pool area were amazing as was the private beach, again the little sweet treats were also such a nice gesture. The hotel also has a bus stop to get into Kos Town very easily and taxis can be organised if needed. Ok so here is an honest review, we arrived for 9 days and had a private pool suite room. The hotel is immaculate clean and all the staff are very friendly and polite. The room was very spacious clean and all amenities provided and topped up regularly. The only issue I would say is we paid quite a lot of money for a ‘private’ pool. The pool is private however it is in view of around 6 other balcony apartments above the private pool so you are overlooked. I feel with the amount they charge for the room it should be totally private and not have to look up to an array of other balconies with people watching your private time in the pool all day. There are other hotels in Greece at a third of the price we have stayed at before and they are totally private which is what you pay for. Another issue is the way the private pool room is built ours only had sun on it from around 11-2:30pm then we had to move to the main pool to get sun, which again can not be helped by the hotel where the sun is but it does feel slightly annoying that you pay a large amount for a private pool to be overlooked and to only have sun for around 3-4hours per day. The breakfast was good, perhaps a bit more choice of hot food along with other cold food, there only seemed to be eggs, sausage and a type of vegetable, but if you ask the kitchen will cook you something. The location is ok, it is around a 45 minute walk into Kos town and there isn’t a great deal around the hotel itself but you can get the bus for around 1.5 euro if you want more selection and choice in Kos Town. And finally, we booked a private transfer with the hotel for a private taxi to a from the airport, when in the taxi the taxi driver asked us to sign a form which stated it was €40 each way, I asked why this was as the hotel charged €70 each way and he said it’s a way the hotel make money. So definitely book your own transfer. Would I stay again? Probably not, the hotel itself is lovely but I do feel you can get miles more for your money at a fraction of the price in other parts of Greece, the money isn’t justifiable for a private pool when your not private.

What an amazing experience we had here. Firstly it's away from the crowded Kos town which for us was a redeeming feature. Luxury suites and rooms surround a beautiful pool with plenty of sun loungers. The place is immaculately clean and service is friendly and attentive whilst respecting your privacy. There is a private beach across a small road where the sunsets are perfect. The hotel gym is small but perfectly formed and there is a flat path that runs infront of the hotel next to the ocean a perfect 5k loop there and back! Due to the layout not all rooms have a sea view but we were lucky enough to get a side balcony view with the deluxe suite we booked. In my opinion if your staying for a week the its worth the extra for the upgrade to gain a little more space. Breakfast was included and was plentiful, catering for many different tastes. It's all buffet style so unfortunately no made to order pancakes and omelettes. However, what was there was replenished frequently so always felt fresh. Bring a little way out of the town we found the Hopp e-scooters a good option when we wanted to go down into the town. They are plentiful and easy to use and located via the app. We ate dinner in the hotel which was lovely but there are also many great options within Kos town too. The Meltima Taverna is a half mile walk away which is basic but tasty, we also visited the Cuvee restaurant in the Aqua Blu Hotel next door which is a lovely option for a more fine dining experience. In town To Chasapaki is highly recommended for meat lovers and Istros for a modern twist on traditional Greek recipes. Sunset cocktails are a must at the hotel. From start to finish the experience Lango Design has been excellent. If you're a couple looking for a special Greek escape then look no further!

This is a very good hotel. Rooms are excellent as well as the pool area where there is more than enough beds for the size of hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the ones that bring drinks to the pool and beach across the road. Improvements can be made in a couple of areas, the breakfast although good was not quite to the level of some other hotels we have stayed in. Also Kos town is a little too far away. The walk would usually be ok for us but as temperatures were pushing 40’C it was too hot to walk every day. I am fit and usually walk around a lot on holiday but this was a struggle. Taxis are an issue as there are only about 70 on the island so the hotel can get you one to go into town but can’t get you one to bring you back. One couple had to wait over an hour for a taxi one night. There are plenty of bus stops and people standing at them but I didn’t see a bus all week. The hotel could benefit from a shuttle bus into town a few times a day especially during hotter months. Finally if you do walk be prepared to avoid cyclists as the pavements are set up for bikes more than pedestrians. If the hotel was closer to town or had a shuttle bus I would have scored it 5*s.

What can I say that has not already been said. What a fantastic hotel and staff. We have had a difficult year and needed a relaxing holiday and we got that in bundles. From the moment we arrived we were meant to feel so welcome and special. The staff go way beyond to make you have a great holiday. I won’t mention the staff individually as I don’t want to miss anyone out. Daily Breakfast got us off to a lovely start to the day. After breakfast headed to the pool to enjoy the most comfortable sun loungers and cabanas Pool bar staff wait on your every need Daily poolside freebies Lunch at poolside or in the restaurant Late afternoon enjoy the private beach the sea was warmer than the pool Retire back to your lovely clean room Pre dinner drinks before venturing into Kos Town which included the best Pina Colada we have tasted On return usually a night cap in the bar Repeat on a daily basis Special mention to Fridays wine pairing what an absolute delight passionate staff sharing the best of what wines Kos has to offer The chef explaining the canapés they have prepared to make the wine tasting extra special. What a laugh we had it’s a must if you enjoy your wine That night after the wine pairing we decided to stay put and have dinner in the restaurant we were certainly not disappointed in our decision. Food is sublime. One evening we struggled to get a taxi the (manageress) took us to our booked restaurant in her own car. We don’t go back to the same resort as the world has so must to offer but if we were to return to Kos we would certainly return to Lango Cant speak highly enough of this hotel
