Labranda Mares Marmaris

so its a late review as i forgot basically to leave one on my return. on arrival we were impressed as bar was still open and they had managed to get the Tyson fight on for everyone which was great. we stayed in the main building which was lovely - food was great, a lot of variety for all tastes and cooked to order on some stations which was really nice as you knew it was hot and fresh. we met so many lovely people that our week was fabulous didn't even want to leave the hotel - we tried the Italian one night but not to our taste but maybe for others. love love loved the beach bar and the setting it was beautiful and the barman was so lovely nothing was a bother at all. plenty to eat and drink 24hrs a day so you never go hungry, staff were all really friendly and happy to chat away to you. Evening entertainment was good fun, and the couple that oversee it were great and always up for a laugh. so good we have booked to come back next September with friends so cant come quick enough. Well done Labranda keep up the good work, oh sorry forgot to mention the young boy that gave out the pool towels he was so nice and worked very hard keeping a very busy pool area clean and tidy, again loved to have a chat with the guests. From arrival till we left we laughed all week, to our lovely still friends from Wales, Aberdeen and ireland what a blast and thanks for the memories even though someone spent a week in a wheelchair - still managed to party though

Firstly, I'd like to thank Labranda Mares in Marmaris for our first ever holiday abroad and it was everything we could have asked for. All the staff we encountered was absolutely TOP NOTCH. We stayed in the bungalows and the cleaning staff were brilliant. Every day, came in a cleaned and tidied our room, even tidied and folded our clothes we left out. The views were amazing, the room was plenty big enough, clean and tidy. We had fun with the pool side entertainment, Mario (Batikan) was brilliant, even kept checking on my wife when she had a migraine, running entertainment brilliantly. We had fun on the evenings with live music etc. The access to Marmaris along the beachfront made it easy to take a stroll and visit other venues, walk into town for some late night shopping was excellent. The food, although not everything was to my liking as some if it was different and not what i am used to was plentiful and very well cooked and presented. But there was a massive range of different foods so I was very well fed. The Turkish bath experience was just AMAZING There was nothing that I would change or complain about for our first visit to Turkey and abroad. So I have been reading a few reviews about the hotel recently and I must say that they look to be trying to get a free holiday or refund or whatever as they are very exaggerated at least, maybe even false. The food as I have said, was very well cooked, and trust me, I tried as much as I could, the place was clean, the staff were never stood around, if they wasn't serving up fresh food, or waiting on visitors, there were cleaning. The comments about the power cut, cannot be blamed on the hotel as it was the whole town, it happens everywhere, just man up. The rooms were clean and welcoming, and the staff were brilliant, always smiling even while dealing with awkward or drunk guests. A massive thumbs up from me and a huge thank you to everyone at Labranda Mares in Marmaris.

It has never been a 5 star the food was shocking we ate ther one day and the neck day we was bad with runs we spent 4 days in room till we could get to a chemist I have been going to turkey for years but always go self catering I will never go all inclusive again u will stick to what I k ow

Labranda.. where do I start? Firstly, I will start with the positives. None of my family struggled to eat as there is plenty of options of food and all throughout the day you can get yourself food. Well done to the chefs as everything was delicious and I am a very fussy eater normally. Secondly, Me and my family had a spa morning and the Indonesian ladies who treated us was very caring and amazing treatments, even gave us discounted prices. Even so my father had 4 massages in the 1 week we stayed. 10/10 for the spa. (But still not technically part of the hotel) Thirdly, security. As a young woman travelling with sisters I felt very safe on site throughout the day and especially the night. They don’t take any messing around from the drunker folks. Now, onto the sad part.. on arrival to our room we was greeted with filthy sticky floors (i can provide pictures) , the room smelt like cigarettes and alcohol (we are a family of none drinkers and smokers)! So this really bothered us. The bedside tables were covered in a thick layer of dust. We then went on into our bathroom.. which is where we found an unclean toilet which still had feaces from the previous stayers and genital hair everywhere. Toothpaste splashed up the mirror and all over the sink and taps. Bathroom shower had black thick hair still in the shower drains and mold all around the shower screens. Our fridges were broken (told them on night 1 and still not fixed, a week later) . We only had 1 working light in the bathroom, 3 bulbs were obviously blown and not replaced so minimal lighting. Our balcony light was blown so it was pitch black we couldn’t sit out and play cards. On wanting to telephone reception to address these complaints it was found all 3 phones didn’t work. When we eventually spoke with reception they told us our rooms will not be cleaned and we can only have fresh towels every 4 DAYS! Woman with thick hair… suncream, oils… 4 days. Disgusting. One night we was left without towels and it took us 4 trips to reception over the space of 4 hours to retrieve towels as they was refusing to give us any. (Even tho they had taken our dirty ones on day 4) we spoke with numerous staff members all in all where so rude and rolling their eyes at us and refusing to help. Told us to speak with a rep if we have an issue. The bedding feels like literal plastic and you sweat all night long in it, it says AIR CON on the booking but is infact only a fan blowing hot air around the dirty rooms. 5 star hotel with no air con? Come on.. We had numerous black outs where we had no electric and had to wait hours for it to return. We ended up cleaning our own hotel rooms everyday, we asked for a mop but they refused to give us one. But didn’t do it for us? We had to wear socks all around the rooms as our feet where filthy off the floors, after numerous complaints They said if we wanted a proper clean we had to book one in, so we did. To find they didn’t infact do anything AGAIN. Bar replace water bottles and toilet roll. It’s infuriating. My dad paid thousands for this holiday and we were all so disappointed in every aspect. The pool was freezing, the staff were rude (80% of them) the rooms were filthy and when you want help, there is no help. Lastly, we don’t drink caffeine or alcohol normally only water and herbal teas.. on asking many staff members for the herbal teas to be restocked they told us nomore herbal teas for the rest of the trip. This was our 2nd day. This is not just me, I’ve spoken with numerous families on this trip and they all suffered the same mistreatment. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this hotel and I advise anyone who wants to have a stress free time to not book with them either. I also think the 5 STAR needs reviewing as this is no way near a 5 star, more like 3. And that’s being kind. It’s clear your staff either, don’t have respect for the above. Or the above don’t have respect for their staff and this is the results you get. I will be posting this review on ALL platforms, as will my family. Being our first time abroad we were very nervous about the whole thing from check in at the airport to returning home but it was so easy to follow. The staff at the resort were all very friendly, helpful, and provided a feeling of safety and reassurance. Even our room cleaner came and introduced herself and gave us a big smile and hello everything she saw us. Our lovely entertainment at the pool Mario was friendly and helpful, especially when I feel poorly with a migraine he was attentive and kept checking throughout the day I was OK. We had the pleasure of scuba diving booked through the app prior to arriving. Captain was so friendly and collected us from the hotel. the instructors were knowledgeable, friendly and really took care of us (myself had a nervous spout just before the first dive and I was given time to calm and the instructor stuck by my side the whole time while my husband went off doing his thing) the pictures are amazing as are the memories. We hired a car from the airport meaning we were able to go out and visit some of the lovely areas. The receptionist gave us some pointers of good places to visit and Akyaka was top of the list. It is a Beautiful place and should definitely be visited. We also had the pleasure of using the spa service for a turkish bath and medical massage. This i will be doing again on my next visit, very professional and the lovely ladies had amazing skills. We were both slightly sore after but the knots and cracks they removed from both me and my husband were built up over years so some soreness is expected (definitely book this for your first day we can still smell the products 5 days later after lots of sea swimming showers and pools and our skin is glowing . My husband visited the salon for a head shave, beard trim and facial waxing and they got his beard on point and made him feel beautiful 😍 The hotel was beautiful with a stunning view of the sea. We couldn't of asked for better and we are very much looking forward to visiting again in April with the rest of our family, there is so much for the kiddies to do we can't wait for them to have the experience with us.
