Official Description

The resort is located in Lhaviyani Atoll on the Maldives. It is a paradise dream in real life, with more than 3 km of white beaches and aquamarine lagoons. The resort is situated on the northern reef of the Lhaviyani Atoll, 130 km north of the international airport 'Hulhule'. The journey from the airport to the resort is done by seaplane. All accommodations offer a true experience of Kanifushi Maldives and are fitted with convenient amenities for a pleasant and relaxing stay. This resort features a golf course with a bar and a pro shop as well as other golf equipment. Guests can take advantage of outdoor pool with children's pool, massage treatments and gym facilities. It offers a unique concept, taking guests down memory lane, allowing them to re-enact those blissful moments.

Another delightfull stay

Another exciting and wonderfull stay at Kuredu. The resort is improving from year to year. Excellent staff (especially at the O restaurant). Overall service is perfect. Management is an absolute high level, highly professional and very competent. Hope to be back very soon.

Unforgettable Second Stay: Exceptional Service and Serene Luxury at O-Resort

This was our second trip to the island, the first being in 2023. For our initial visit, we chose to stay for 9 nights (10 days) to allow time to recover from jet lag upon returning. However, this year, we wanted to make the most of our stay, so we opted for a full 14-day (13-night) trip, including travel time. We flew with British Airways from Heathrow, which offers a direct flight to Malé, followed by a seaplane transfer. Experiencing the Maldives from the air is something we had always wanted to do, and it was truly special. This year, we stayed in a Jacuzzi Beach Villa within the O-Resort area, as our daughter is now 16. The pool area at O-Resort is wonderfully quiet during the day, which suits our preference. Having explored all of the bars and restaurants, we found O-Resort to be our favourite spot on the island. From what we’ve seen, the Sangu area is also lovely and is somewhere we’d consider staying in the future, though the minimum age is 18. The main pool area tends to be quite busy, and it seems you have to arrive early to secure a good spot. That said, there are plenty of sunbeds available around both the pool and the beach, so finding one shouldn’t be an issue. This year, we dined at the Teppanyaki restaurant. The food and the overall experience were excellent, but it was the chef, Asanka, who truly made the evening memorable. As returning guests, we were also invited to a returners’ party for repeat visitors to the island, which was a really nice touch and made us feel valued. We highly recommend the Beach BBQ, which takes place in a beautiful setting on the main beach. The food is abundant and exceptional. During our first trip, we booked the Britt, a sailing boat. We were lucky that the other party cancelled, so we had the boat (and the crew) all to ourselves for the entire day. It’s an experience we would absolutely recommend. We visited several snorkelling spots and were fortunate to see manta rays, turtles, and dolphins along the way. This year, we took advantage of the free sunset cruise, where the main highlight was spotting dolphins and taking in the views of the surrounding islands. We also treated ourselves to lunch at the 5.8 undersea Restaurant on the neighbouring Island of Hurawalhi. Yes, it’s expensive, but the food and the whole experience was amazing. What truly makes this island so special is the staff. From the moment we arrived, they couldn’t do enough for us. Rina greeted us upon arrival and stayed in touch throughout our stay via WhatsApp. The staff at O-Resort were all fantastic, but a special mention goes to Bond, one of the head waiters. He quickly learned our drink preferences for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and always greeted us with a smile. Maruti, the head chef (apologies if the name is misspelled), remembered us from our previous visit and was always friendly. He made the best omelette for breakfast and delicious crepes for our daughter. Two staff members who stood out were Janesh and Afaal, who drove the buggies around the island. They were always incredibly friendly, remembered our names, and, more importantly, knew exactly where our villa was — which was particularly helpful after a few drinks at the Retro or White parties! We can’t wait to return again.

wine tasting tour

This review is dedicated specifically to the Wine Tasting Tour with Vasantha and Maduri For the cost this tour is Amazing, we toured the entire island along with their bars and resturuants always had an amazing set up in each when we got there, we had wifi connection when in each location and took a dedicated Boogy ride to each which wa super cute and different then the other ones in the island. We learned about Wines from all around the a world and ended our tour at the Bar in the Pier where you can see sea life in the ocean as we are sipping our las twine for the night. Accompanied by the wine there was always a cheese platter and our last stop was such a romantic Dinner at O restaurant next to their infinity pool with a view of the night ocean… I can’t tell you how much this tour is worth it and very affordable! Do not skip out and find Vasantha and Maduri the sweetest humans to schedule it when you go!

Wonderful!

Our family of 5 (kids aged 18, 16 & 12) along with our friends family of 5 spent a fantastic 12 nights at Kuredu. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. O resort was amazing- lovely beach villas with great air con, comfy beds and very spacious. A great pool & bar area. In the restaurant the food was delicious and the staff and chefs were so friendly and did a fantastic job especially our lovely waiter Rajan & the chefs Maurito and Nathan. The bar staff were great too. Theme nights in the main bar were fun especially white night. We did the sunset boat trip and saw dolphins. We also did a 3 in 1 fishing trip which was brilliant fun and the snorkelling was amazing. It was great to have the gym, football pitch and golf course. The snorkelling off the island was great we saw lots of fish, rays and turtles. Beautiful beaches. The buggy drivers were great especially Janesh & Alvin who were so helpful. The spa was lovely, best massage ever! A trip to 5.8 restaurant for lunch was awesome! We had great weather for most of our stay. Unfortunately for us there was very heavy rain and strong winds as we left resulting in a nightmare home bound journey but we would all love to return to Kuredu one day, it has everything you need for a perfect holiday

Kuredu - once again amazing

The whole resort is fantastic. However, it's the staff that make it exceptional. A special shout out to the Bonthi restaurant staff (Rashmi, Rosami, Kiama & Naseem) - they were exceptional and could not have done more. In additional all the drivers were exceptional - attending to your every needs - a special mention to Manu, Alvin & Janesh, Thank you so much. We will be back next year
