Official Description

This air-conditioned beach hotel comprises a total of 398 rooms and is built on 14,000sqm of land bordering the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean on Turkey's southern coast. Situated 3km from the district of Okurcular, the hotel is positioned half-way between the popular resorts of Alanya and Side. Taxis and public transport are available on the main road in front of the hotel, and there is a shopping centre 2km away. Guests can enjoy sunny afternoons spent relaxing in the gardens and lounging in a sun lounger on the long sandy beach, which features a jetty, while those more adventuresome visitors might go scuba diving, fishing and snorkelling in the sea. The onsite restaurant serves both Turkish and international cuisines for lunch and dinner in addition to a buffet breakfast, all for a delightful holiday of sea and sun.

Fantastic holiday

Depending on your perception of a 5 star hotel you may be a little disappointed or massively impressed. It’s all down to interpretation. Personally I think the decor could do with a touch up here and there but generally looked good. I’d say more a 4 star hotel with 5 star treatment. Everything worked well, the rooms were cleaned daily and the minibar topped up everyday too. The whirlpool on the balcony was worth the little extra and if you get a choice, try and get rooms 131-139 on the odd numbers and you’ll get a fantastic sunset while sitting in a warm whirlpool (add shower gel) having a nice drink. We went as a family for 10 days at the end of the season and our last day was the day the hotel closed. Things did start to close as time went on and the variety of food got less and less although we always found something to eat. The staff were polite and tried to help where they could although sometimes there was a language barrier sometimes. They did checkout a bit toward the end and some were visibly sad to be finishing up. With the season closing up we never had a problem getting a sunbed and never had to queue for a drink or food. The temperature was 30 everyday which was fantastic. The drinks were a bit hit and miss for cocktails but we did find one chap who was a mixologist and made the best drinks, Furkan Tayurak was his name and he’s in my pictures, find him and get a Margarita, you’ll thank me. Also, they have table service in the evenings at the lounge bar which was great. I had my birthday while over there and we got the cabana on the pier for the day and it was lovely xx the hotel treated us to a bottle of ‘champagne’ and a selection of fruits and pastries. It had a stocked mini fridge and the bar staff were happy to bring drinks over from the pier bar even though the service part of the deal had finished that day. It had a whirl pool too and was amazing to watch the sunset, it did have a cost of €120 but as the service had technically finished we got if for €70. We had it from 10-6 and were so happy with our day we got it again for an afternoon later in the holiday. The hotel also send a bottle of wine to the room with some biscuits and made some decorations to the bed. We had the Italian Al a carte and were very happy with the meal, everything cooked really well and we even had a birthday cake and I was sung at. We did want to go to one of the other restaurants but these had closed and the only option was sea food and Italian so look out if you’re going late season as they do start closing bits down. The slides were good fun and in good condition. 2 Life guards on duty. Outdoor pools were cold but sometimes needed with the sun and were in good condition. All pools at 1.4m. Indoor heated pool was lovely too. Sauna and steam room available but not advertised so make sure to ask the amazing ‘Towelman’ where there are. His English was fantastic and was a funny chap. I had a massage package and was impressed and relaxed and the price was very good. There is a kids hang out area which has 2 PS5’s, table football, pool table, basketball game, air hockey, lunch machine and a 2 land bowling ally. You need to book the bowling for the evening . Coffee shop on site serving lattes and iced coffee and cakes. The beach is stony so take your flip flops. Sea was warm. There’s no much outside the hotel unless you get transport. There is a small cloths mall if you turn left and is about a km and sells all the fake clothes, bags and trainers. Pretty decent quality too. There’s and other if you turn right and that’s a lot bigger and is about 2km. Shops on site are ok and also sell some fake brands. So to sum up…. Food - great selection for all and some even cooked in front of you. Hotel - very nice and clean Pools - spacious but cold Drinks - find Furkan Would I go back - YES Also want to thank Sabri çakır and Patenci yusuf șahin for their ‘taxi’ service of drinks and taking time to talk to us and making us feel welcome. Great guys. And finally a massive thank you to Khrystyna at customer relations for her continued help during the holiday. They use WhatsApp to stay in touch and makes it so easy to ask questions and book things

Awful experience - NOT a 5 STAR !!!

Got really sick during my stay here, after sushi night where sushi was left out and not refrigerated in the main restaurant. The Al a carte Italian restaurant was also awful where we had to send back a chicken dish that was raw and the waiter said he was not trained to know whether chicken was raw when you could touch that it was cold with blood visible. They didn’t tell the chef and there was no apology. The risotto was made with cream and looked like A lumpy rice pudding with Parmesan sprinkled on top. Awful! The food court put me off when I seen the burger stand guy touch raw meat and then cross contaminate everything else by touching the salad and burger buns. Just disgusting food quality, only thing we could eat was the chips there. The bars had staff who were hit and miss on pouring drinks, but the drinks were local and non brand which tasted awful - I usually have never complained about local brands, but these drinks tasted like they had been watered down and were awful to drink. Definitely not what you would get in a 5 star hotel.the lounge bar staff were very rude, the young chap was on his phone and wouldn’t acknowledge you unless you told him to pour you a drink, clearly staff need to be trained. Most staff don’t understand English so it’s a struggle communicating with them, you are stuffed if you need anything during your stay! 90% guests were Russians so all the entertainment was catered for them. The hotel is tired and doesn’t look like the pictures, with carpet looking faded and being 15 years old in the lounge bar and in room hallways. The rooms themselves are also tired with wallpaper peeling off and hallways. Furniture in bars and on the pier looks disgusting with water stains on the knackered chairs and sofas. You can’t sit on them unless you lay a towel down or something. Mini bar was stocked once during our 7 night stay, the cleaning was awful they only make beds no bedding changed whilst we were there. No one mopped the floors, and the cleaner wouldn’t replace our bathroom towels so it took us 3 to 4 phone calls to reception to get the towels replaced in the bathroom, due to the staff not knowing English it becomes a headache to ask for anything. The main restaurant was frustrating trying to find a seat, staff were unhelpful they couldn’t care less whether you found a seat or not, they wouldn’t even come around to get your order for drinks. Which made the experience very irritating. They have staff on site that try and make money from tourists and try and rip you off especially the tour rep Emma - who kept on calling to try and arrange numerous meetings with us to sell us rip off excursions despite us declining numerous times she wouldn’t stop calling! If you want a 5 star experience with good food, nice surroundings, with good service from staff, and entertainment that is good - then avoid Kirmen Sidera!

Just returned from Kirman Sidera, on the whole it was a beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean (they are always cleaning) and excellent food with plenty of choice for everyone. Pools were lovely, the large pool is very cold, however, give it a few minutes if you’re moving and it does become bareable. The other pool is a much better temperature and could stay in there all day. Plenty of sunbeds and you can always get one - whatever time of day. A couple of people reserve them early but no mad rush like you see elsewhere in other hotels. Relaxed vibe, music playing around pool (if sat in wrong place you get 3 lots of music from pool, restaurant and outdoor workout area which could be too much for some) Water slides were ok, some hurt but kids enjoyed them. Some of the lifeguards were constantly on mobile phones, one was even asleep on lounger in the indoor pool. So I wouldn’t rely on them. In other Turkey hotels, some of the guests were so rude and pushed in all the time - this hotel does have a few rude guests but no where near the level of other hotels which is a plus for me! Sea was beautiful - beach is pebble but nice. The pier is important part of choosing the hotel, we love to spend the latter part of the day there - sadly, both sides are fence off with red barrier tape so wasn’t a pretty as looked in the picture - we stuck the the beach instead. Compared to other Turkey hotels, the quality of the shows weren’t as good, but good enough to pass the evening. The BMX, break dancing & roller blade show was superb - by far the best one! Sadly, the al cartes were all fully booked so couldn’t get in (apart from fish but my daughter wouldn’t have enjoyed it), I’d suggest booking as soon as you arrive. We did notice as went to take a picture, that one of fire doors (floor 3 right hand side looking out to sea) didn’t open! Overall the hotel was brilliant, exceptionally clean, great food and would highly recommend and would visit again.
