We stayed here for 5 days 4 nights. For the money we paid for, it’s worth every Penny of it. (Reception) We were received by 2 Philipino young ladies, and they are very friendly and always helpful (Angelica and Diana). (Food) The food is above expectation, (they have different types of dinners like BBQ buffet, typical buffet, or 2 options of 3 course meals, arranged by the hotel), even some foreigners from other hotels asked bout the price of the food here. The people serving you in the restaurants are some friendly Sri Lankan like Roshan and Sham, who especially prepared ginger tea for my wife by request (the hotel don’t serve that by default) , which helps a lot as my wife was suffering terribly from menstrual pain. (Excursion- snorkeling, dolphin sightseeing, night fishing) You can do your own snorkeling outside your hotel, and you can get to see some fish, turtle and even dolphins (rare sight). And Trust me, don’t save your money and take on some of their excursion activities (try to do it in the first day booking your slot as they will wait for other people to sign up for that as well, so the earlier it is, the better for other tourists to join you for a lesser fees). Too bad March is not the most exciting season for this island as manta ray and whale shark will gather near the hotel from July (it’s seasonal) but we do get to see eagle rays, reef sharks, turtles, dolphins and other kinds of fish) (Hotel stay) The hotel is a nice place to stay, the only very minor complain is that maybe one of the rooms might not have great internet connectivity (modem is far from the room maybe) but other rooms, restaurant or lobby area don’t have this problem. If you are some influencers who wanted some bombastic pictures, this hotel might not be the best (well you need to pay more to get the much more beautiful hotel or water chalet) Spa We tried the spa, the lady masseur is Sara, me and my wife praised her for her massage skills. ***few notes*** 1. Tipping between USD 1-5 is good for both you and those who served you (receptionist, waiter etc). Tipping might not be a things for Asians like me, but I must say sometimes tipping can give you surprises (depends, for me it worked wonders) 2. Go to the fish market near the airport when the fisherman comes back (not sure of exact time, could be 6pm) to look at some of the fresh fish they caught, and behind the fish market between 6-6.30pm as the fishmongers will throw the remains of fish they slaughter to the sea to feed stingrays and nurse fish (you will be surprised at the spectacle -thank me later) 3. If you happen to see a blue parrot, it’s called Blue, it’s friendly with male, and will attack the female (my wife was “bitten” by it) 4. If you are not good at swimming or snorkeling, ask the reception for life jackets
