We eventually arrived after our transfer taxi first headed to the Labranda by mistake. I'm a wheelchair user and had booked a superior room with pool view and had emailed ahead to make sure there was a lift to my room. I was told there was. On arriving the receptionist told me my chair wouldn't fit in the lift and there were two steps to climb once out of the lift. She recommended a swim up room downstairs which would cost us more. She called someone, assuming the manager, who decided we could have the downstairs room without extra charge. Great, so we thought. Our room was 101 right behind the pool bar and nice and close to reception. There was plenty of room inside. There was a room with a sofa bed, table, wardrobe, TV and chair. This room had a wet room which was definitely a wet room as it flooded into the sitting area. (Our neighbour's room did the same) It was also a very slippy floor once wet and there were no shelves for toiletries. What could have been a great shower room for me was unusable. The toilet did have a handrail though. The bedroom had a large comfy bed, tv, table, wardrobe with safe and led to another shower, toilet and 2 basins over large shelves. I ended up using the shower in this room. I'd packed suction grab rails and a folding stool so managed. One of the first things I do on arrival is take off my shoes and get ready for the pool. We had a swim up pool shared with a few other rooms and resident Freddie the 🐸! The pool didn't look very clean, maybe Freddie 🐸 had been inviting family members in for a dip. The terrace had table and chairs as well as sun loungers. I can walk a few steps and had changed to sit outside, my husband remarked that my feet were black...and they were! We spent the whole week in flip flops in the room as the floor was always dirty. The mini bar was stocked with 1 bottle of wine, 2 cans of beer, 2 cans of Pepsi, a can of orange, a can of lemon, a large bottle water and 2 small bottles of water. We often had to ask for water from the pool bar as none had been left in the room and the wine was never replaced. Our pool towels were changed every 2 days, room towels every day. There were plenty of loungers round the pool and the pool service was wonderful. The girls came round to take our order and brought the drinks to us. We were round the pool early after breakfast every day and never once saw anyone cleaning the pool which was unusual. It's normally an early morning ritual at hotels. The restaurant area is very clean and Haris the waiter is very attentive, some of the others not so. One evening our drinks had been cleared and the table reset when we were up collecting our desserts! The food is very repetitive, a week of it was long enough for us. We did eat once at the Greek restaurant in the Labranda. This was included in our stay and claimed to be á la carte. Reception handed us an A4 sheet of paper with a few meal choices on and that was it, most definitely not á la carte. To get to this restaurant we had to navigate our way through the Labranda although a buggy was used by many. The restaurant overlooks the crammed beach area. The Italian restaurant is not on the ground floor but the Greek restaurant is. Some guests wouldn't walk through the Labranda preferring to use the buggies as it was crammed full of people. Many kids on their own riding around on electric scooters or bashing into things with battery operated cars. It could be quite intimidating to some people. Such a shame you had to navigate the Labranda to reach the beach area. Entertainment was round the pool bar and wasn't up to much. We had a lovely relaxing holiday but wouldn't book here again. It's a 4 star at best definitely not 5 star ( we were charged €70 tourist tax) We've had much better 4 star hotels in Corfu and other Greek islands so was disappointed this wasn't what we expected.
