We moved to the hotel to meet with friends. We had been staying at the aloft Ventura that was really nice. It's considered a three star hotel so thought here would be nice. We drove up to the driveway and there were cars and people everywhere. We got out and were told room wasn't ready and they would text when ready. When we eventually checked in we were given a lovely room and a comfy bed. This resort fee business of 65 dollars a day .. ok if you have kids you can use the water park but if your unable to do that you get nothing for your money. We were not told anything about the hotel other than given a map. We had the first night dinner at corsair restaurant where they had a fixed steak dinner three course meal for 58 dollars. Thatvmeap was quite nice. Sunday breakfast was chaos. Now the hotel is large but the dining area is small. The check in process for breaky you have the lady who checks in and then a colleague would take you to the table. The line was out the door and they only had one poor woman seating people. There were plenty of tables once seated. ... This experience we had it every day. Sunday there was a thunderstorm and unable to do anything. Still charged the daily resort fee. Friends staying with us managed to get there resort fee refunded however we were told no so we will be following it up further. When checking out we had minibar charges that we didn't use as we didn't even open the fridge door. When hubby went down to fix the bill and clarify it the girl at check-in who was chewing gum shrugged her shoulders and said ok and deleted the charges. If you do stay at the hotel make sure you ask for a room away from the lift as the clunk clunk goes all night and you can hear it quite a distance from the lift. I'm very much a glass half full person but unfortunately I can't say much positive about our stay here which is very disappointing.

I booked this before my cruise and presumed it would be fabulous. I dropped my luggage off at 1 pm and checked in thinking I could just collect my keys once room was ready. NO, had to go and line up for over 30 min to collect keys. upgrade to an ocean view and the room is very spacious.though I need to crane my neck to see any ocean between large tall buildings on highest floor. they started mowing the lawn at 6 am there was hammering going on around the same time the door security doest work st all the door goes straight past it as it pic the breakfast though free for platinum was very average.screaming kids everywhere( im not at a Disney resort) numerous stained chairs. average food they tell you nothing when you ask what the exorbitant $68 plus plus fee gets you, they say water park( for 75 yr olds) and driving range. well no you have to pay $35++ for clubs for the driving range!! then I ordered a smoothie not knowing it was not included the $12 was billed at $18 I called to ask why, they said taxes and service charges added to 50% No I dont think so!( 20% always added to every bill. honestly if you want a nice resort in south Florida try the Belgrove in West Palm Beach if you need a Marriott stay, they are eager to help and the room was quiet and pleasant. I would not recommend and would definitely never stay again

Nice but missing something

Stayed for 6 days with family - suite was spacious and the rooms were nice. We were hoping for it to be more family oriented but with slightly colder temps with highs in the 70s and the pool is not heated, the resort isn’t going to offer much for the kids. It was great sighting weather, and perfect for attending the Miami Open - only 20 minutes away. The waterpark was understaffed, one person working at the top of 5-7 slides. With few people at the park and small lines it still took 45 minutes to go down due to one person alternating starts and managing the tubes. They also closed early and one of the attractions had long lines so we kept coming back and after spending a long time in another line, we came back to this wave rider line for them to tell us it’s closed and was closed all remaining days due to staffing issues. The kids loved the breakfast options - I wished for healthier options especially at the pool. The gym is nice, with workout classes. I attended a trampoline class and it was great! There’s no space for mat work or light weights but overall a nice sized gym. The pool closes early so on cooler days, by the time it warmed up outside, the pool closed. And they closed 10-15 min earlier than posted so just keep in mind. There’s not a lot of seating around the grounds or open space for the kids to play. We thought since there’s a waterpark that there’d be some kid activities or lawn for lawn games. But outside of the waterpark there’s adult only pool, bar seating, and some bistro chairs off the front loop. The customer service was hit or miss - I tried to find help booking a private boat tour and was sent to VIP services and the woman who‘assisted’ me was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. She got back to me over 24 hours later with no information but we booked elsewhere at that point anyway. This is a better place for couples/golfers than families in my opinion especially during spring break when the weather is iffy. The location is great - Aventura has a mall and there’s a nice 3 mile walking loop around the hotel. East to get to Miami and surround area which we loved.

Great time in the sun!!

We took our 3 year old on her spring break to this wonderful hotel and water park. We have enjoyed out stay very much all thanks to the wonderful people that work at this property to ensure all guests needs are met! Jeffrey was very helpful and attentive throughout our entire stay. Every morning when we arrived at the park he was there to greet us and ensure we are all set and comfortable. Patty at the main pool bar was quick, attentive and very carrying. Diego at the kids pool was also wonderful. Always there to assist with our 3 year old needs and parents! Our french fries were always ready to be served our drinks filled and refilled to ensure that we all have a wonderful and relaxing time. THANK YOU! Our 3 year old cannot wait to go back and so do we!

Amazing trip!

We had such an amazing time! The staff everywhere was amazing unless you were at the check in desk. Somehow every single person we spoke to whether at the water park, Cosair or Michael Mena was amazing but the check in desk was downright hostile. It was not just to us but every guest seemed to leave with a confused look on their face like why were they just so rude to me? Thankfully we did not have to deal with the front desk very much. The staff at the water park from the towel attendants, the lifeguards, the wait staff, people who run the wave rider and the restaurant wait staff were all awesome and so polite. There are so many lifeguards and they do such a great job at keeping people safe while still being polite. My 5 year old loved the wave rider and the lifeguards did an amazing job at helping him stay on for a long time! Matthias at the surf house was our waiter almost every day and took such great care of us. The poke tuna over there is so good! The food at the hotel has been excellent. The steak house was one of the best meals ever. We were here for spring break and were able to get chairs at every day during the week. The weekend was a little more crowded but not too bad!
