Avoid Avoid and Avoid TUI

31 Aug 2024
Awful experience with TUI child that was in kids club at night got out and sustained a head injury near a huge water pool… this could have been an accident or it could have been an attempted abduction or attack - not one phone call to check on child…. The Rep was awful and said accidents happen but do not know if it was an accident 9.30 at night during a power outage - we got angry at her lack of concern then got a written warning… who would not be angry that a 7 year old child was injured without any explanation, the Rep breached GPDR by showing us another child’s full details and totally disregarded the event and threatened to throw 2 disabled adults another carer and 2 small children on the street without flights. This Is a serious event - made a complaint and telephoned TUI with no response, tried TUI shop - no help at all - we will take this to the ombudsman as we are furious of TUIs lack of concern for this incident- she could have drowned or been abducted… now closed ranks with the hotel. Holiday miss sold as no Jacuzzi or al a carte resultant as advertised… faeces on walls of toilet, dangerous broken areas round the pool promised care with dietary allergy - no knowledge of coeliac disease - offered things obviously not GF Awful hotel awful experience and awful aftercare

Oh my god!!!!!

31 Jul 2024
Good points. Food was tasty and always plenty of choice. Bad points. Dirty round pool. Pool bar was dirty and full of wasps and ants due to sweet sticky residue from drinks. Our room wasn’t cleaned in the two wks we were there. Had clean towels and toilet rolls left and bin emptied but nothing else. Pool was ok but the last few days we were there started smelling like stagnant water. Slides only opened once while we were there for the kids. All entertainment staff walked out to find other jobs as were told by management they weren’t getting Paid for the last week before it closed. The management treat the staff like crap so no wonder they weren’t doing their jobs right. We paid good money for this holiday and feel like we were well and truly ripped off. Sunbeds!!!!! My husband got up at 5 am every morning to make sure we had a sun bed and he stayed down at the pool from 5am. Nobody to take towels off the beds when folks put towels on then went out for day. Was shocking. Entertainment. Very cheesy and they did their best to say they were on such crap wages. Didn’t agree that they should charge for kids club every night tho. £5-£10 depending on the activities they did. Dear do for people with more than one child. Electric went off on our last night and the back up generator wouldn’t work so we were in bed by 8.30. It did come back on but not sure what time as we were asleep. All in all I can honesty say we did not enjoy this holiday at all. Apart from the lovely weather. I’m now home and have a really bad chest due to the air conditioning being dusty. We did ask for it to be looked at and it was filters all dusty so they cleaned it. Good job it is closing really as you wouldn’t want to go to it now. I do understand in passed years it’s been brilliant but it certainly isn’t now 😡

Don't come hear

31 Aug 2024
So currently hear at moment and the building has had no electricity for the last 3 hours complete darkness. Been a complete shambles since we got hear. Been hear for 7 days already and got another 4 to go just want to come home now. Rooms the most basic you will ever get our bath is more like a sink absolutely disgraceful. Since been hear our room has been changed once. Bar staff very rude only give out ice to people that tip them,we came for the entertainment staff but they left Tuesday so the sister hotel has had come and help out,the place just needs a good clean,if you want a sunbed make sure your up around 4am as you won't get a bed.

Don’t bother staying here

31 Jul 2024
We have just got back from this hotel after a weeks stay. The weather was great. The hotel on the other hand, not so great. The food was re served from every meal of it wasn’t eaten, very repetitive. Staff rushed to clear plates etc. as soon as you put your drink down (even if it’s not finished) they take it away. On a few occasions I was cutting up my child’s food and my plate of food would be taken away from our table before I got chance to eat it. On numerous occasions we had to go and ask for knives and forks as there was none on the table. We felt very rushed every meal time. There were occasions when one of us went to get some food staff would come over and ask to take chairs from our table. In the end we ate by the pool side as we felt it was the only way we could eat without being rushed and things taken away was if we were away from staff. Reception staff on their mobile phones constantly and didn’t give us any information on arrival of meal times etc. our room didn’t have a cleaner for a few days so when we asked for a new bed sheet from reception so we could change ourselves as my little one spilt on it we rang 3 times to reception and they told us they would bring one. It was midnight when I ended up going downstairs to get one and they had no idea what I was talking about. Over an hour we had to wait. When o got to reception staff were sat chatting to each other which is rather annoying when they said they would bring a sheet. Entertainment on the first few nights with Cindy and Luna was great… then they left and the men took over. Absolutely disgusted as the gym doing the bingo was taking the mick out of Chinese people during the whole bingo. There was a few tables shouting ‘how racist’ but he carried on. The beds and bedrooms weren’t clean at all the mattress for our youngest child was full of stains. Someone had placed a takeaway container under the stairs near to our room and was left there for days so it smelt awful! The flooring in the communal areas were all sticky like a night club and stray cats in the restaurant during meal times. Children were not supervised by their own parents around the pools or in the evening (not hotels fault) children that weren’t supervised were disrespectful to staff and other guests. On our last evening there was a group of boys running up and down the corridors screaming at 2am for over an hour. The corridors are on camera and nobody came to speak to these children. Absolute shambles! The shop prices were ridiculous. There was staff coming round constantly asking us to buy stuff and if you didn’t they walked away and didn’t speak to you at all. All very money orientated and unpleasant.

Could be better

31 Jul 2024
Just returned from the Julian forest suite, it’s a good hotel but could be better with a few improvements. I’ll start with the improvements, house keeping department lets this hotel down need to employ more cleaners and pay more attention to detail as I didn’t feel the room got cleaned the whole time I was at the hotel plus block A rooms are dated and only have air conditioning in the bedroom plus I did hear a few horror stories of things going missing from rooms, Personally feel reception staff could be improved, 1 of the men (with long hair) is very abrupt and rude with guests plus reception charge some guests if they want to move from block A to block B and some guests move for free………. I messaged reception before arriving with special requests none of them were fulfilled……….. The pool and areas could be cleaner, some guests spilled drinks, approached staff to make them aware of this but no one ever appeared to clean it up so this resulted in ants and wasps in the area. There is no life guard on duty around the pools area’s only 1 guy turns up for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon to man the slides. To which he was always pleasant and had a brief chat with you. Sun beds were never a problem for us you could turn up at anytime of the day and you would get a sun bed somewhere. Yes people got up early to get a spot for the day but no major issues. The general food, snack bar and restaurant staff was good, yes some of the food was repetitive but you expect that at an all inclusive hotel, there was always something new to try. It was always hot and got topped up whenever it was needed except the deserts. We thought the standard of food was really good, Special mention to the chef that makes the omelette’s at breakfast, Bar staff were usually ok. They constantly asked you to fill out feedback forms and only post the good one’s. Plus usually only one person serving so it results in long queues and fighting away the wasps while you wait Yes the hotel is out the way a bit but the bus stop is right outside the hotel and they come past every 10 minutes and it only cost 25 TL into Icmeler or 30 TL for Marmaris per person. best part of the hotel was Funky and his entertainment team which was made up Omar, Gokee. DJ Joseph. Cindy. Luna and Sam. Every day these guys turn up, work hard providing entertainment for all the guests young and old, but it does feel like they try to befriend you so you part with your hard earned cash. They are constantly wanting money from you, they speak to you personally which makes you feel you can’t say no…….. please just do your job and let us enjoy our holiday Would I return to this hotel ??? No
