Iakinthos, Tsilivi Beach

Wonderful staff! Manos really impressed us with his brilliant personality and his service was next to none! Such a friendly and kind young man! He told us so much about Zakynthos and Athens for our city break next year! Emma was so friendly and recommended the icecreams to us straight away! Our whole family had one and wow! Best decision ever!

This hotel is such a little gem. Right in the beachfront, it is small, friendly and the staff are so helpful! We had a side sea view overlooking the beach club but as we went in October it had closed for the season so not sure how busy/noisy it would be in the height of the season. The room was a good size with both a kettle and coffee machine. Plenty of wardrobe space, perhaps the dressing table could have done with a few extra drawers, but for us no big issue. I agree with previous comments about the bathroom needing an update, our bathroom was a bit snug, but it did the job. Good choice for breakfast, we have been to other places where breakfast was a vast array, but again it was adequate. Lunch/snack menu, the portions are HUGE. After the first day we shared a dish! The hotel is right in the beachfront with a few loungers but at the time of year we went the pool area was sufficient. It’s a 5 minute walk to the main shops/bars/restaurants with plenty to choose from. We only ventured out a couple of times as the hotel provided what we were after - a relaxing chilled break. The hotel is very clean, and all staff were simply amazing. This really is a gem of a hotel, and if you are a couple just wanting a relaxing break I can highly recommend the Iakinthos Hotel 😊

We stayed here the last week in September and simply couldn't fault it. It is a small 'boutique' type of hotel literally right on the seafront (you couldn't get any closer to the sea if you tried) Stayed in the luxery suite with a massive rooftop terrace and our own hot tub which we used every day on a B & B basis. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotels driver collected us and delivered us back to the airport which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed the BBQ Greek night and Greek music arranged by the hotel. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet type for toast, pastries, fruits and yoghurt affair and then we chose a hot breakfast from the menu .....the omelettes were to die for. The chef here is amazing.....all delivered to the taverna style seating area right by the sea.....simply bliss with your freshly squeezed orange and morning coffee. We had the most amazing week here. Seafront location, happy staff, dressing gowns & slippers supplied, beautiful food, a view to die for. Very happy customers that can't wait to return again some day. Myself & my wife have just returned from a 2 week break at this lovely little hotel. All I can say is WOW! We stayed in room 137 with a side sea view. We woke up every morning to a beautiful view of sunrise from our balcony. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, glasses, teacups, tea, sugar & bottle water provided daily. We stayed half board with breakfast & evening meal included. Firstly, the setting where you eat is absolutely AMAZING! The seating is literally 5 steps down away from the beach & you have uninterrupted views over the Ionian Sea to both Kefalonia & mainland Greece. You are greeted daily by what I can only describe as the most exceptional, professional, warm, friendly & generally AMAZING staff I have ever come across. Due to the hotel only being small, I see this as a big plus, as you get to know the staff quite well & build a good rapport. The breakfast was brilliant. You had all the usual buffet items & and were also able to order from the menu on request. I usually went for scrambled eggs, bacon, sliced avocado with extra mushrooms or special omelette. Freshly squeezed orange juice & hot drinks were served as soon as you took your seat. The evening meal, you had to pick your main each morning from the set menu displayed daily in reception. Evening meal started with bread selection, then starter, then main served with a different salad daily in a seperate bowl & then dessert. By the end of our stay, we ended up ordering less, as it was so much food. The kitchen team are very talented with delicious food everytime. Now, onto the greatest thing of all. THE STAFF! Special mention time. Violeta, Manos, Emma, Florian, Mary, Noelos, Elpida, Gio. The most fantastic service & bar staff I have ever come across. I hardly moved from my sunbed on pool days being served whilst still horizontal. I loved being able to hear the staff having a laugh with each other while sunbathing. They are obviously such a close team. Then Nassif, who is 100%, that unsung hero who carries out numerous tasks behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. The reception team, our personal driver for airport pick up & drop off because we booked direct & finally Kostas the manager who was always a calming influence around the place & it was lovely to observe him at times with an arm around his staff. To conclude, we will definitely be returning like the numerous returning travellers we encountered. Thank you, Iakinthos team, for an AMAZING final part of our honeymoon. Best wishes Will & Marie

I have visited zakinthos many times over the years and have never stayed anywhere like lakinthos. the hotel is welcoming and loves the position but mostly I have to say that the staff are truly amazing people. nothing is too much trouble, and they have made our holiday as memorable as possible. I can't wait to return
