I don’t even know where to start! I guess start at Male airport where we were met by a beautiful soul who guided us over to check in for our seaplane then put us on a taxi to the seaplane terminal. There we were greeted by another gentle, smiling face who led us to the complimentary lounge where we waited in absolute comfort until the seaplane was ready to board. A short but stunning 40 minute flight and we touched down on a floating platform. There we were met by a motorboat which took us the 5 mins to resort. When we arrived we were met by the general manager and drummed onto the island. Was a truly wonderful welcome. At reception we met Maudey, our island host. I really don’t have words to express how incredible Maudey was. All week, 24 hours a day, he looked after our every wish. From booking restaurants to finding spaces of excursions that were full, to delivering snorkelling equipment to our door. The list would just go on and on and on. And all with the most open and happy smile. We feel blessed to have had Maudey looking after us. All the staff were outstanding to be honest. Conrad, the sommelier, was stand out. If you like red wine you must try Konrad- easy to remember:). Farray was our young and cheerful waiter several evenings but sadly not on our last day so we didn’t get to say goodbye! In the bar Palek and Tulsa seemed to spot us from 100m away and greeted us by name with more smiles and waves every time. Casmir senses an empty glass from 20 paces and was always on hand to replenish. The cocktails in coco bar were outstanding. Food - best food in the world, all week, no matter which restaurant you choose. We didn’t the Teppanyaki one night, would highly recommend, and 5.8 is an experience we will NEVER forget. We took the sunset dolphin cruise, the Manta snorkel trip and the turtle snorkelling trip. The highlight for me was the turtles but you should do them ALL at least once. As previous reviews have said the rooms are out of this world. They really do think of EVERYTHING. The all inclusive package is also a must, so, so glad we were on it. In case there is any doubt, we have spent a week in Heaven on Earth and if have the opportunity to do the same you will never regret it. I only wish there was a way of giving more than five stars!
